serpente is also very heavyyy. martinelli luce doesn’t fuck around with materials- i would say of all the lamps i have from the major design houses: artemide, flos, martinelli luce, louis poulsen… martinelli luce have the best quality and features. you might be right re: evolution. both the serpente and cobra were designed by elio martinelli and the serpente did come first, so the cobra could be viewed as an evolution, but martinelli viewed these lamps as two distinct designs and products.
hey we’re all entitled to our opinions. i’m a restrained maximalist and collector - i will never be the person to just have a few nice pieces. also i find myself needing each of these lights to give myself the ambience i need without EVER using the big light lol.
What are those ceiling lamps?:))
the blue one is the Konkylie by Louis Weisdorf, the yellow is the Optima by Hans Due, the red guy is just an unnamed 70s planter + lamp (plampter) :)
What about the yellow semi transparent wave on the wall ? 👉👈
it’s the “glo-up” wall lamp by ball & berezowsky - cool example of Canadian space age design.
Please post your entire house!
don’t tempt me with a good time!!
Very nice. I assumed the Martinelli Cobra is sort of evolution of this. The Cobra is a heavy mf tho. Never laid hands on a Serpente
