Even though this is on an obscure platform, I can't say no to this. This is a HUGE collection of classic SNK games! And it's published by Digital Eclipse, the guys who made the interactive LLAMASOFT documentary. I am a huge sucker for retro games, so this is an absolute must-pick-up for me.
If you use Playnite as a game launcher in case anyone wasn't aware, there is a STOVE library syncing plugin too.
Playnite is an open source program that organizes and launches all your games from all your libraries (Steam/GOG/Epic/Itch/Stove) in one place. If you have a lot of games on different stores, you should definitely give it a go - it's made my life significantly easier.
Although Epic's mobile games app doesn't sync with anything, you can add any game you want if you'd like to keep track of your entire game library in one place (and there's lots of different metadata sources to grab the game info from). Your Playstation, Nintendo, and XBOX libraries all have plugins to sync with Playnite automatically, and you can also add ROMs to it and launch them from Playnite as well.
No with many of these platforms (which includes Steam and Epic) they have DRM that requires you to start their launcher in order to play any of their games. So if you want to play any of those games you will still need the launcher.
What Playnite does is open the launcher, automatically launch the game or bring up the install dialogue, then automatically close the launcher as soon as you're done.
If you're looking for no interaction at all with the launcher, Playnite is as good as you're going to get. But you're always going to need the launcher no matter what because of the DRM.
Right, but whether or not you like it, you're making a choice by getting these free games my dude. You can forget about them and never play them and never install anything, but there's not really much point in that.
No amount of wishing will change the fact that nearly every game platform has DRM, including Steam. If you no longer want to deal with the launchers, I recommend that you start buying stuff from GOG and maybe Zoom exclusively from now on, because those are the only stores out there that are DRM free.
And while Playnite might be a launcher launching another launcher, unlike the other launchers you have it's a. open source and completely customizable to meet your needs and b. you don't see or interact with any other launcher by default. So ironically without that launcher launcher, you have to use 3-5 different launchers instead of just one.
So yeah unfortunately it's pretty much as good as you're ever going to get if you want to play games from other libraries.
You can also collect a few daily 10 cent coupons from that Christmas promo page and their daily check-in between now and then if you want a game that costs just a little bit more than $16.
Also note that if anyone has been collecting the daily 10-cent giveaways for their Christmas event, the first round of them expires tomorrow.
If you haven't, you can start collecting another round of them today, leading up to a stackable $3 coupon on the 31st (which lasts until the 4th) so if you collect them all once a day starting tomorrow and stack them with that $3 coupon, you could get a game costing about $4 for free on the 3rd.
On the site, after you create an account, in the upper right corner click on your little icon thing. A menu will drop down, click on your icon in the menu. It will go to your profile, your games are under Products. You'll need to download and install the Stove client to install the games.
Click "install stove" in upper right to install Stove client, log in & install games from there.
To see library on Stove website, click on your avatar in the upper right, game information, then store tab in center of screen. This will show your owned games, but you'll still need the Stove client to install/play them. On your library (Owned products) page on the Stove website, you can hover over a game icon & click the play button, but this will just redirect to the Stove client.
Has anyone had the same issue as me? Got this for free yesterday, too. The game always stucks on the “SNK” logo and then crashes. I tried to scan and repair, but it didn’t work. Oddly, after reinstalling, the game runs perfectly, but when I exit and try to play again, the game crashes just like before. This is my first time using Stove. I tried randomly picking another free game (Starbite demo) in case it was an app compatibility issue, but it run perfectly.

What a banger free title! :D
I found how to get the list of all free games on STOVE
https://store.onstove.com/en/store/search?direction=DISCOUNT
Nothing good at the moment aside from SNK collection, just some shovelware that's set as "free" with an expiry date of the year 3000

does it also organize mobile games from epic games?

Does it support logging in and direct download of stove games or you still need to install the Stove client?

Roms can be extracted by using gextoolbox
https://github.com/shawngmc/game-extraction-toolbox
Command is:
gextoolbox tasks extract --task snk40 --srcdir "C:/ProgramData/Smilegate/Games/SNK 40th Anniversary Collection" --destdir "<wherever/you/want>"
thank you!
Hell yeah! I was considering buying this game but getting it for free is even better.
very fast register with gmail and fast purchase.
Thank OP
If you just registered with Stove for the first time, don't miss that they offer a stackable $5 and %50 coupon for all new members, which can be combined to get any $10 game for free. Additionally, you may want to hold off on using those coupons until the 31st, when they'll be giving away another stackable $3 coupon which, collectively, ought to let you get a $16 game for free.
You can also collect a few daily 10 cent coupons from that Christmas promo page and their daily check-in between now and then if you want a game that costs just a little bit more than $16.
Some games to consider getting:
Dungeon Drafters
Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark
Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children
Vampire Survivors
Card-en-Ciel
Detroit: Become Human; Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls are also available for $2 each.
Murders on the Yangtze River
awesome, thank you
Does this only apply to brand new members? Ive had my account a while but never made a real purchase except the free games lol
Have to have registered in the past month, I believe. But you can still get the $3 coupon at the end of the month.
Ahhh damn ok that's cool tho still
Impressive. You can apply all of these to Clair. As low as ~$14 in the USA
If you knew what you were doing and were there before the rework, you could get E33 from undiscounted down to free. Was pretty wild while it lasted.
Thanks for this, very helpful.
Do you know if this store has any online multiplayer game? All I seem to find are single player/local coop games
A few. There's a matchmaking tag.
There's also some other multiplayer-related tags but they don't seem to distinguish between online and offline.
crap... I bought this one b4... but oh well. I'll take it anyways.

Thanks you!
Wait... the fyxk is Stove? I thought it was giving me a Steam code o.O
Korean owned digital storefront. Mostly indies with some more well known games too.
Thank you
Hell yea I'll gladly nab this one
FYI: It was given away on Prime Gaming (amazon launcher)
I think it was this one back in 2022

How do you actually download it? The "Go to library" link doesn't do anything.

Which region are you from? Sadly don't know how to check STOVE country restriction.
Japan
Thx, just saw they listed the countries blacklist.
