Religion in general is, in my opinion and experience, mostly a useless relic of a bygone era of humanity. Religious practices that are ultra-conservative coupled with political aspirations that seek to revive some lost golden age that never was are outright dangerous. I have an extreme distrust of and, in my opinion and experience, a well rounded reason to be paranoid of people who belong to sects like trad catholicism. Especially people who are converts.
