Fun fact.. the owner of State of Mind pizza grew up eating at that Taco Bell. It blew my mind being able to go back inside for a slice after years of closure.
Anyone know who designed this building? I have a bunch of similar looking buildings here in Texas that are Donut shops, some have gone out of business and are now other restaurants.

And just think that Creedence Clearwater Revival may have eaten there (there is a famous picture of them eating at an old Taco Bell back in the day)
And a little known fact about the band is that they are from El Cerrito, California just north of Berkeley California
They actually ate at store #201, now La Botana 805 Taco, at 281 Santa Rosa St, San Luis Obispo, CA.
One can always dream that they ate at more than one Taco Bell in the Bay Area hehe Salinas Valley
Great call out
Had many a Nachos Belgrade at that joint back in the day
You made me google that
This is Taco Bell #976, opened in 1972 and closed in mid-2011.
You can’t fool me, that’s a Taco Bell from my childhood.

Damn it looked great when it was still a Taco Bell
Small lobby inside to place and pick up orders. Outside seating area is gone
