Woah! I actually know this one in real life!

This was not a Pizza Hut. It started its life as a fried chicken restaurant called Little Mint. It has a sister building in Hertford, NC that isstill open.

But there is a classic Pizza Hut on that street that used to have the full classic Hut interior with stained glass and pizza bar. But it got a remodel and now is boring and soulless.

Well, it was held up with bubble gum and duct tape. It doesn’t surprise me that it closed. Thanks for the update.

Are you sure it started its life as Little Mint, or is that just as far back as you know? That’s exactly a Pizza Hut building and sign

It was started as a Little Mint. It was a regional chain of restaurants started by Wilbur Hardee (who also started Hardee’s fast food restaurants). I heard that at some point Pizza Hut sued them for using this design, but I can’t find an online source.

The inside didn’t have any seating except for 2 small booths. And those booths were hard as hell.

The sign def matches a old pizza hut sign from the 60s like this https://blog.pizzahut.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Red-Roof-1080x761.jpg or this https://i.insider.com/531602ef6bb3f7b52ae2ea7a?width=700 so i think it was one
