I've never eaten chiktay (aka chiquetaille) in a restaurant, but I see that it's on the menu at Rebel, 29 Clinton St., and at Djon Djon, 1206 Nostrand Ave. Given a choice, I'd head to the latter restaurant, in Brooklyn — I've stopped by Djon Djon while exploring in and around Flatbush, and I like the vibe.

Yes, went to Rebel due to time constraint. It was underwhelming and soupy :(
Well, that's all the more reason I need to give Djon Djon a try, when I'm down that way! Thanks for the intel.
May I ask: Did you have some pressing reason to try chiktay?
