    Police are following new leads in the investigation into the death of 24-year-old Alexis Jeffrey after releasing CCTV footage captured by a local hotel.

    In the video filmed between 2am and 3:30am on the 16th of March, Ms Jeffery is seen being followed by a man walking towards Memorial Park.

    Ms Jeffery appears to wave her arms back at him but he continues to follow her.

    The man then catches up to her and takes her hand before the pair walk out of the camera's frame.

    At 11am, Ms Jeffery's body of was found along the McIntyre River, about 500m from her home.

    Today, Trebeck received the same sentence, with Justice Ann Lyons slamming him for continuing to lie under oath.

    "We will never know what really happened … only you will know how she came to die at your hands," Justice Lyons said.

    "By dumping her lifeless body over the escarpment you made sure she would die.

    "She was not offered any dignity or respect … but was left half naked.

    "After her death at your hands you continued life as if nothing happened.
