I remember watching Billy Styler’s videos on Trevor Henderson monsters (the first one being Cartoon Cat) and this one genuinely surprised me when I first saw it.
Never did I expect a creature this scary looking to be so kind of caring.
Really? The younger brother? But he looks all mean and angry... How can you contain all that anger in such a tiny frame. Now EDWARD... That's a great example. All tall and menacing with that metallic exterior but being calm, collected and soft. Truly an exemplar of an OLDER brother and what a state alchemist should look like. I believe the namesake "Full Metal" is well deserved.

He’s a lot nicer to Atreus than 2018. When Atreus fled Asgard after becoming distant to Kratos and his disagreements, Kratos welcomes him with open arms and only asks if he’s hurt. 2018 Kratos would’ve scolded tf outta him
I think he is just a mature man. He balances serious and fun to enjoy his life and he doesn't care if it can look silly. And also if you'll kill his friends he will shove your wrench down your throat and will have a good laugh over attempts to scream.

As for an actual character, Kabbu from Bug Fables looks like a very serious, stern and intense beetle who would kill you at the drop of a hat, but he's really a huge cinnamon roll (but he is still very tough).

Upd. I actually find the concept of his character kinda cute. He looks so scary and yet in most routes he genuinely doesn't realize how scary he is. And I remember in the end Narrator explains that the Princess initially looks like a princess most likely because it's mc who wanted her to look like that - "someone noble and reachable at the same time" or smth. So basically dude just wanted to be loved😭
Contrarian is actually an interesting dude because if I remember correctly, he appears in the Stranger chapter (if you refuse to go to the cabin and everything would become warped). And he is basically having fun and being unserious all the way through (manifesting mc "losing himself" and making everything even more crazy), up until you get to the end of the chapter where this warped Princess is begging you to help her. And I guess Contrarian, who had no accounting for consequences before, suddenly sees them in the form of this poor Princess and so drops the act and genuinely worried asks if we could help her. Cus I guess he realized what he had done to her. And then if you meet him in the ending cabin, he is already really chill and understanding (cus it's technically the same Contrarian you left there in Stranger chapter)

Oh, I remember Contrarian can manipulate Stubborn into throwing the knife away in one of the chapters (the Fury I guess). And it does take away your choice. But the thing is, Stubborn and Contrarian are able to cooperate in this chapter and kill this (extremely hostile to you) Princess with literally nothing. It's actually pretty impressive

I love the story where he was working on the muppets movie and he found out his mom died. He tried to remain professional as people kept asking him if he was okay. He just wanted to finish the job and go home as that’s what she would expect of him. But then Kermit put his hand on his arm said he was sorry for his loss and that’s what made him break down.
He might look like the menacing boss of a construction company and always talk big, but he just a humble polite accountant who cares for everyone's wellbeing and finance situation of the company.

I love the story where he was working on the muppets movie and he found out his mom died. He tried to remain professional as people kept asking him if he was okay. He just wanted to finish the job and go home as that’s what she would expect of him. But then Kermit put his hand on his arm said he was sorry for his loss and that’s what made him break down.

Alot of characters from the Otherverse (urban fantasy world created by Wildbow, aka the same guy who wrote Worm) fit, but Tashlit/Tash from Pale is the first that comes to mind.
