It’s a midi interface for the Famicom. It allows music makers to harness the power of the NES sound chip, making for super-authentic chiptune music composition.
I don't know; it was in a glass case at a used-music shop in Kanagawa, Japan. The place sells guitars. synths, euro rack systems, etc. The description the store had on it was "a modified product used to create MIDI sound sources." I had to Google it in the store to figure out what they were talking about. I dug the DIY nature, the aesthetic, and the mystery of it, so I ponied up the cash. I personally have no use for it... It's just neat.
Wait for real? I have a Famicom at home and multiple midi controllers and I am a huge music nerd. Id use the hell out of this. You've GOT to at least try it once
