Just started playing fnv for the first time and all of my practice shooting super mutant mini nukes is being put to work on them powder gangers, very fun as well
And for the wonderful reward of more nuclear material. Who needs a 12 pound explosive that can only be used with a 31 pound weapon when you can mass produce enough plasma guns to make the BoS think you’re the Enclave?
There is nothing more satisfying to me than shooting a grenade in someone’s hand and watching them explode. Maybe shooting a missile launcher out of someone’s hand before they can shoot comes as a close second. But that grenade shot makes me feel like Kobe every time.
Say what you will here but is it weird to anyone else the the super mutant nuke blinks and counts down? Kind of takes me out of it a little. Like the mini nuke was made for a launcher but has a suicide mode?
It's a creative liberty taken to make sure the player can actually tell what's coming. They needed a clear audio queue, otherwise they'd basically just be creepers.
Oh yeah! Even better if he is nearby other Super Mutants!

Nah. Killing him with a simple pain train tackle is how real bosses do it.

I mean, that would make every fight with super mutants much more terrifying as they should be considering lore wise they slaughter whole towns.
