    Ai Slop

Stop parroting. This is not AI slop, this is a good picture and you wouldn't distinguish it from some human-made picture, if OP didn't show you that it's AI generated

“Bring your art to life” That just speaks AI art and the art on the left is AI checked and confirmed to be AI.

Ah, ok. Now I got it, thanks. It’s really sloppy, because they could’ve at least sketched something by hand.

It's soulless. I didn't need to read "AI" anywhere on this image to clock it as AI generated.

There's no coherence to the right image as a whole. Is the story about Medieval fantasy? Noire detective? Scooby Doo knockoff? Superhero story?

The outfits of the characters and background are confused on this question and don't make the setting clear.

An AI knows nothing beyond the input, and an input of "two human characters, a blob monster, and city in the background" can easily result in incoherent nonsense like that.

Another soul argument. Provide definition of soul or doesn't use this.

Does someone sign an obligatory to follow some coherence on the example pic on their ads? No? So why do you require it from them? They present their service just like they can do. Haven't you seen any noob-human artwork, maybe indie game trailers, which also produce the same confusing and questions? Is that confusion exactly AI exclusive fault?

AI knows how to assemble several objects according to the prompts together. This is beyond prompt knoledge. And with big temperature can add some objects and details on its choice.

Soulless - lacking that which we value in humanity.

Specific to art - something which lacks emotion, depth, and meaning; something which appears cold and mechanical; something created primarily for a motivation unrelated to the viewer's appreciation (ex: profit).

Corporate garbage is also soulless. Saying that ads shouldn't conform to artistic standards does not make them any less soulless.

Inexperienced artists and artists on a low budget may not always produce GOOD art, but there is always passion evident below the surface even if the execution is lacking. A toddler making up a story with the very same characters shown would at least be able to answer the question of why there's these disparate elements in contact with each other and be able to talk your ear off about what makes each important to them. An AI lacks this entirely.

Even the doodle on the left has more soul than image one on the right, and invites the viewer to imagine the who, what, where, and why themselves.

A service advertising its ability to make art should be able to produce art that DOES rise to the standards of art, or else the ad fails to sell the service.

You jump from the ephemeral concept of a soul to the no less ephemeral concept of some artistic standards, and also you talk about hatred for corporations and “putting effort in", but you don’t take into account that, first, corporations even without AI do many things for profit and have the ability to produce human slop (like that same "Sing" cartoon movie). Second, you don’t consider that a person can pour all their incredible passion and desire for creativity into polishing crap. And are we supposed to consider that something amazing?

In another thread, the OP noted that the image on the left is also AI slop if you look closely at the drawing, so all your stories about how that art is better than the one on the right are empty.

And regarding AI not having an inner creative drive you don’t take into account that the drive can come from the prompt author, who manifests their vision through AI and selects the most fitting results to produce a kind of collaborative creation. Why don't this have a right to be recognized as art as a product of human passion and ideas?

Also, regarding a soul, tell me, why should such AI-assisted creativity be considered slop or worse than what a human made? https://www.reddit.com/r/aivideo/s/TY2sPSZehR

My use of the word soulless has been consistent. I don't actually ascribe to the concept of an immaterial soul, however words still have meaning even if I do not believe the word to reflect a real thing. I gave the definition of soulless I ascribe to.

I direct you to my quote in the prior comment "corporate garbage is also soulless" to address the majority of your additional complaints. An artistic work is easily degraded by corporate interests. Pushing deadlines, cutting resources, editing the work so far that the original meaning is lost to conform to the expectations of the lowest common denominator... these ALL push profit above the end result and create a lower quality product.

I said only the doodle had more soul, not that it wasn't also largely meaningless. The only value whatsoever comes solely through the imagination of a person viewing it, and that specific experience is limited only to that person.

Am I supposed to be impressed by the kind of glorified key jingling that passes for early childhood entertainment nowadays? I'm equally unimpressed by shows like Cocomelon. To an audience that can actually appreciate the nuances and details in the stop-motion style, the mistakes and hallucinations the AI makes are quite jarring and detract from the experience as a whole.

The felt ball hand suddenly having fingers in the first few seconds and inexplicable cartoon eyes with the reaction to rain are just the two most obvious examples.

    AI art.

    AI art is fine here.

    WHAAAAAAAAT

    Yes. Prove something against it

It ruins creativity which is what makes art good

Nope. What makes art good isn't creativity, but the final result. The second image looks good and doesn't have the typical AI inconsistencies. The most one could nitpick is the inconsistency between the objects on the images. Furthermore, the AI showed creativity, giving the human images unique appearances.

But ai doesnt have soul like us humans.

Ruins creativity, bad for the environment, sloppy (All of the time), uncanny appearance, and etc.

Allows people to bring their creativity into life, allows people to not produce tons of paints and tons of garbage for sake 5 minute video, not sloppy if you works hard with AI, carefully selecting the better result and fixing the mistakes manually, canny appearance https://www.reddit.com/r/aivideo/s/PoQ3gBAYHr

I’ve seen AI Art that has one arm with 4 fingers and the other with 5 fingers. Learning how to draw makes your art look better than slop.

Nope. Human slop also exists and manual drawing didn't help it

At least it looks clearer and can be edited without paying money lol.
