I went to the hospital in August due to trouble swallowing they gave me versed did not help with the trouble swallowing literally just made me feel chill and unable to swallow 🤣I had already been experiencing prior. it had resolved for about a week and then woke up and couldn’t swallow I saw a team of neurologist they performed test and they came up with bulbar myasthenia Gravis left the hospital still not being able to swallow started prednisone and tada I could swallow again eat again but still struggle now and then now they are questioning my diagnosis (seronegative mg) to fnd I’m confused if this has ever happened to you? They are saying fnd due to not having a test that points to myasthenia Gravis and since my problem is swallowing.

Please, please, please ensure your GP or Neurologist checks for Myasthenia Gravis related illnesses! I fought for 3 years to have a SFEMG and RNS for MG testing as my bloods returned normal for 2 MG antibodies
AChR, MuSK, LPR4 are the antibody tests. Single Fiber EMG is the muscle testing and Repetitive Nerve Stimulation is also muscle testing.
Push your doctor for the tests. Even if they comeback normal, present your doctor with scientific literature as evidence that there is such thing as Seronegative MG. Usually they will trial you on Prednisone or at a minimum try an ice pack test on the eyes if you have Ptosis. Any evidence that the medication or ice pack test helped, that should be clear enough to anyone, let alone a health specialist, that you have MG!
I’ve had emgs done all normal they do not want to preform a sfemg I have a second opinion in may 🫩
Oh damn I used to have that. I totally forgot about it, I also used to have this thing where I would forgot how to breath. so wild... It makes you appreciate how the brain works, that such wild things can happen just cause of your brain is not working properly.
I used breathwork to help with any misfiring issues like that. It really helped but was a very hectic experience. so may not be for everyone. it was a 2 hour session and I had to work with the man hosting it very closely to help me through. Dunno if that is helpful. good luck my friend x
I’ll have to look into it because this is getting ridiculous 🥲🥲 thank you! Glad ur better ill be there soonðŸ˜
honestly mind set is 100% the best foot forward. You will get there but it does take time, so stay with it. Good luck.
