Hey, I have asked for help and received it many times! I am just so confused and feel so lost. I don't even know what questions to ask because I don't know what is wrong with my music. I am just not getting the sound I want, and then I get so confused with the tips people give me. Is there any way I can improve? I watch videos, I ask for help, I put time in I have over 700 songs made (not really too much, but yk I feel like I should be farther along). I have experimented with sounds and just cannot understand. I feel like I am doing something extremely wron,g and I am asking questions on the wrong things. Please help if anyone can, thanks for all the help in the past as well!

What? Are your compositions bad? Are your synths too plastic? Do your lines feel too monotonous? Are you the one who's awful?
Your post contains a lot of things, but not a single explanation of what the problem is. Seeing this constantly lately is getting a little tiring. Is there perhaps a problem with being specific in the new generation? Before you jump to the top of the ladder, maybe you should try taking a step.
Lowk all of the above lmao. See this is my issue on where I don't know what questions to ask. My mixes just don't sound glued together, everything sounds so different. My vocals aren't staying at the same volume even though I have a vocal rider. Sometimes the mix is muddy, sometimes everythings too thin. I don't know how to fix issues without causing other issues and thats my main issue honestly. I cut through the beat with an eq so my voice can sit but now its too prominent, then the prominence can't be mitigated without making the vocal thin. I reverse these things, then my vocals are muddy, and you can't hear me; everything sounds harsh and unprocessed. I don't feel like I am over exaggerating or exaggerating at all, but usually you notice more with your own music. I just feel very under-informed, and I don't know what to fix or what questionst to ask. Sorry if the post was very vague.
You could try posting a song for us to listen to to give you advice on how to improve
Idrk how to do that, but if I figure it out, I will do it. If not maybe I could send it to you or anyone who wants to hear.
hey boss, Just download Obs or any screen recording software and capture your screen with your song playing then post it here
Be better. Get in the gym. Do your research. Drink water. Learn new things. Meditate. Get mentally and physically strong, as strong as you can be. Do better.
Only then, will the light guide you to where you need to be. Best of luck, friend.
Thanks bro, trust imma keep putting work in. This is just motivation.
You might need to go learn more music theory... It's a such a fuckin' broad category though.
Here's a list of shit that helps no end in order of what I think about.
* Learn drum theory. How to put together your own beats.
* Song structure. Like build, drop, A B, verse chorus verse chorus bridge etc.
*Learn scales and chords... This one can go for years, but the basics will get you better tracks.
*Mixing. Sound staging, etc.
*Fuck around with your VSTs. Learn to use your main ones inside out.
*Mastering. Fucked if I know how to do this. I have a mate who loves that shit, so I give it to her to do.
How long have you been doing this? I am at around 13 years and just barely started to understand generally how to get a sound I want and 80% of the time it still feels like trash. Sometimes you just have to make a lot of music, study a lot, and practice a lot.
700 songs? I’ve been doing this for over 15 years and I don’t even come close to that amount of songs. Seems like you just have to put more time and effort into your projects.
What a vague post. All you can get is guesswork
