Inside FL? Tools > Switch smart disable for all plugins
A non-native plugin? dearVR PRO 2. Most prods don't know but it's free and "bigfy" your mix using spatial audio features inside binaural settings.
lol just now i did see "not talking about the usual go to tools". So, Mixer panel > options > File > save mixer track state as... *drag that shit and drop to another insert to duplicate channels*
The new properties feature for samples is golden... before we had to make a unique copy of sample just the reverse it for example...such a little detail but saves some clicks
Its not really a hidden gem feature of fl studio. but the ability to edit the whole browsing menus delete stock things u dont need. Adding multiple folders. Organizing the pluging picker mixer/vst list removing stock items i dont use to make those list easier to navigate
I do add/organize my sample folders in the browser, but I probably should finally remove the stock stuff I don't use. Also custom plugin organization, I keep putting that off, but I it would be nice to clean that up.
Opt/Alt Y can reverse highlighted midi (I got that from the official FL studio yt channel shorts i think)
Opt/Alt U on highlighted midi note (i suggest a single midi note over 2/3/4 bars, then squash or stretch accordingly after) -> arrow next to the folder, i can’t remember exactly what it is. I think it’s officially a bunch of arp templates but I just like incorporating random ones from it into a song, or using it to get a starting point on rhythm. Use the time mul too, might make it interesting
I used the searchbar once (the one above all your plugins and files on the left, I think you have to make it pop up tho can’t remember how but will come back to edit) and typed in bass, snare etc and man there are so many good sounds on there, many I noticed are from FPC but they were also from somewhere else
Probably doesn’t count but I’d recommend that for every plug-in you have, check if there is a drums folder in there and render everything that you like lol. For so long i just went off of drumkits online but vsts like omnisphere and even nexus have great drums especially snares n hats
- Inphonik RX1200. Pretty much perfect emulation of the SP 1200 sampler.
- WXAudio WebSampler. Basically a plugin that is a web browser with a built in record section at the bottom. Hit record. Play your thing. Stop recording. Click drag the audio file out. Done.
this might be an unpopular opinion but I find ready made vocals really helpful. ultimate hidden gem for me is vocalfy, i get that you can record your own voice or start from scratch is what will everybody say but i find it useful and ideas are flowing in for me
My favorite recent plugin is digitalis, its amazing for super unique sounding distortions. I actually love everything from that dev, you can make so many different textures and im just scratching the surface.
Its different than just bitcrushing, its so much more than that, one of the most unique plugins I've used, and its cheap too.
Sytrus is a freaking beast of a plugin, if you actually learn to use it you can make absolutely fantastic sounds from it, its one of the fl plugins that goes deep enough where you can make some truly rich sounds with it, and its really easy to make it grimy and organic, I like it way more than harmor and harmless, I find them to be just too clean and bright.

Man once I found that I never looked bacc. It opens all the plug-ins extra fast too.
That's nice to hear bro
Only downside I noticed to dearVR is it used a lot of cpu
Dump score log to selected pattern - in the main program tools
Right clicking the "type keyboard to piano" button to get the piano roll in key and hence have everything sound melodic :)

Yeah that's solid. what DAW?

Honestly whatever gets ideas flowing is worth it. most people waste time obsessing over doing everything "the right way" instead of just making music
100%!!
