Was hardcore into this game for a long time, dropped off of it for a little over a year. What are the biggest changes I need to be aware of save what are the biggest must have units currently available or coming soon that I should spend all my vis and tickets on? Any tiny advice would be helpful
Try to pull on CoW units since they pretty much powerful in and off CoW events. Try to get one good atk card and 1 good mag card. Don’t for get to have fun first and pull on a banner with units you love. For me the last FF6 banner Edgar is kind of trash because his kit doesn’t work with current meta using element amps but still love the character so I pulled for him same goes with the Xeno units for me. Up coming game features are leader skills. Depending if you have lapis to spend pull tanks with good racial mitigation like fairy, beast etc.
CoW and cards? Can you elaborate on what those mean?
Clash of wills is the new global exclusive feature where you fight a boss with a morale gauge you have to fill to do more damage to the enemy unit. It’s almost like a tug of war. Vision cards are cards that you can equip to boost stats even further HP,ATK,MAG etc.
Anyone playing JP know how to beat the New Years Tiger boss?
I have a question about Leader Skills and some of the more recent JP VC restrictions. I noticed along with Leader Skills, Visions Cards now have an elemental requirement. When a skill says it works on "Dark" or "Fire" units, or a card says the passives works for "Dark" or "Fire" units, what does that mean exactly? Do the units in question have to be elemental locked like Sephiroth, or do they just have to have a self imbue for the required elements?
Basically it seems the element a unit is marked as is the element they basically do the most damage on. So 2B has light and lightning, BUT her full damage comes from using light, so she would fall under that.

how can I break the cap on '# of effective attacks' on the latest DQ quests? I'm capping on damage and in full element/killers but seem to be stuck at 8500 on effectivity? do i need someone for accuracy or what?

I'm gearing a Chizuru for Rafflesia in my companion party. Since she caps out on plant killer easily, she has 3 materia slots open. What should I fill those with? I have death resist on her already. Would she need Charm resist just in case the player using her doesn't have that support on their team? MP/MP refresh for the MP drains?
From what Ive heard every unit needs charm resist so would be a good idea. Iirc I think you want like 700% water resist but it might be a different element.

I used to play and love this game more than 5yrs ago, I stopped because of the poor memory of my phone (x now that I’m back I’d like to know: how do I change my displayed character? D: I’m stuck with a Mystea and I want to change it (x people say something about a function in the option menu (I don’t have any), and something about making the character the leader, but it doesn’t work, since Mystea is not even in my party anymore )x how can I do?
Tap on Friends -> Companion Settings -> Favorite character is the one that shows up. Be sure to add other units (if you don't have any super useful ones, I put event units in those slots).

5* are useless for the most part. You'll have to gather yourself an NV team. That's the main thing. You slowly get used to the rest.
The dark vision rankings show players with 3.5 million pointa, i bet most of those are cheaters. However, are 3.5 million realistic for whales? i set at roughly 2.1 million and except for low damage i scored perfect on everything else.

I got you bro. Just a heads up, my Sam. Chizuru does a 100% buff against (Beast, Demon, Human, etc) types if you do a normal attack instead of actually attacking. Might want to select from the Event, Nemesis, or whatever other tab just in case. She's good for the Plant Raid Boss tho =D
How much lapis is in story mode? Is there still more story in season 1? I finished them all but season 2 isn't unlocked at all (I cleared it not complete it which means some I only gotten two stars) Or do talking to npc unlock more places?

Ok guys, so I decided to start this game yesterday and boy do I feel overwhelmed. I have alot of questions, but I'll just start with a few:
1) I assume (unless the missions say otherwise) I should just be using NV units? I know that I should probably use weaker units for the main story to accomplish the missions, but vortex quests don't seem to have this problem.
2) I have a Wyk ticket but have no idea where to exchange it. I don't see it on the different ticket summons and I don't see it in the exchange shop. I'm sure I'm overlooking it. Where do I exchange it?
3) Is there a tier list of units?
4) I see that most of the vortex quest mention that things cost 0 energy until lvl. 50. I'm only at lvl 8, so I assume I'll have all this excess energy for a long time?
5) Are there any timed events I should be focusing on while working through main story content?
6) Any other timed things that will be going away soon that I don't want to miss?

We got up to Ex3 him. You need to clear all Ex battles in the story to get them.
So, I have a Reberta and Ignitos 0/3. I just got 50 frags from the shop. I also have the UoC NV. Would it be best to keep my R&I and get her to 1/3 and maybe get Tide Bringer Kaito, or get a second R&I and let them chain together, or get another R&I and convert my original so I can get the new one to 2/3?
Came back after a 2 year break, still trying to figure everything out. Any advice is appreciated
Rebertas Base form Chaining Skill is self chaining meaning you dont need a another copy to chain them. Her Brave Shift (BS, not be confused with Bolting Strike) damage comes from her jump skill so have other units to support chain and cap the chain with her jump. My choice would be taking TB Kaito.
When you say 0/3 do you mean EX-0? Just run Reberta and Kaito in the Daily Fragment Dungeon and you'll hv yourself 2 very solid support units that deal very respectable damage. Fragment dungeons is also going to be a daily permanent thing later this year so you can hopefully get EX-2 on both of them some time this year.
Final note, pretty sure this isnt the Daily Help Thread so go there for your future questions. Reberta also wants 2 copies of her STMR so if you get a duplicate, get her TMR and STMR before sharding.

Im struggling surviving all those 400+ Bosses. I think I should have the units to make a proper team for it but Im really overwhelmed doing so. I dont know which gear, materia and rotations to use. My main DD is Dark Rain EX2 and sup dps is Kaito EX2. I think those are the units that I have properly build since it isn't to hard.
Other Units I have are: Yuraisha EX3, Yoshikiri EX2, Snow EX1, shoreline fina & daisy ex0, louise ex1, white dragon ling ex0, lighting ex1, physalis ex1, behemy ex0, Fin(return) ex0...and alot more ex0 but those are the ones I have heard are decent or that I see in teams that clear the hard content. Can I form a proper team with those for CoW for instance?

I'd start with either posting screens or ffbeequip profiles of your party and/or watching some clear videos from content creators to see how much of a difference your party is vs theirs.
TLDR: Every fight is different, need more info. Use DHT.
Returned to playing after a while. Trying to figure out the Panel Quests. I’ve completed the first board for rookie and claimed everything but the second page continues to say ‘Locked. Clear previous board to unlock’. Not sure what to do now.

Do you have like 500k Lapis in your account? Is it hard to recover your account? Without specifics the answer can vary.
TLDR: We're at NV/8 stars now. Whatever units you had before is useless. STMR gear is still relevant so if you had a lot of those a new account won't even with units. Some things like Dragon Killer take forever to accumulate so even a new account won't have it for a year or two. Do what you will.

All good! Personally I abhor the idea of having to farm all the (S)TMRs again when "I just need it", but I can also see clearing all those quests and getting those rewards being a fun thing from scratch.
It's just the game's development has "stalled" a bit, and there hasn't been anything exciting coming out recently. Coupled with decreasing freebies and increased costs the enthusiasm has gone down a bit.
Which is fine, this sub and game has (or had) way more participation and documentation than any other game of its calibur (handheld). Also, this sub is more regulated so all the "casual" posts get stuck in the DHT (which I personally like).
Head over to /r/ffbeblog if you want to shitpost. Discord always has chatter too. Otherwise people will always answer more complex questions here in the DHT as well.
Is Zell the only 4* base that can upgraded to NV? What happen to Zile? Another question, what do you do with duplicate VCs? The one that is given from pulling NV units? A Vengeful Blow, A new Journey, Scorpion Sentinel Battle, to name a few.

No. You need to setup if you use esther anyway
Find guys that can triple cast and have AR and SR chain (MM Xon, Elena, Assassin Shadow...). Equip them with an elemental weapon based on the boss weakness and cast AR+2xSR. 99 point chain easy.
Add a nice one hit finisher to cap that chain and enjoy the max score.
Is there more information on how to do this the chain keeps breaking using a macro to hit all 3 at same time

Recently started playing again and have a few questions. I’ve amassed 9 NV units over the last two weeks and they are pretty nice at blasting through a lot of content but I feel like I am lacking some strategy with all of the changes over the years.
1) I’m sitting on about 36k lapis. Is there anywhere I should use that in the near future? I feel like I should wait because the content I am current battling is melting in one turn with my NV units so I really don’t need much else at this point.
2) I’m killing things so quickly I am missing out on rewards for summoning and killing things with espers and limit breaks. Is there a trick to using those in easier fights without pulling out crappy 4-5* units?
3) What should I be focusing on or prioritizing at this point? I’m on Zoldaad with 7 espers for reference. I played for about the first year the game was live and then quit.
4) I’ve got all of my NV units between levels 111-119 and I have awaken two of them to 1 star and one to 2 star. What’s the best way to awaken all of them further? Is it best to try and fully awaken all of them or focus on a select few.
5) Where can I pick up the best weapons, armor, and accessories? What passives should I look for in the equipment enhancement event?
6) I’m sitting on a ton of trust moogles. Should I go ahead and spend them on my NV units? Same with super trust moogles?
7) My current NV units are Rain (1 ⭐️), Lasswell, Onion Knight, Golden Rizer (2 ⭐️), Storm Seeker Esther, Savior of Souls Lightning (1 ⭐️), Firion, Ice Reaper Kurasame, Starlight Elena, and I currently have one 7* Tifa FFVII-AC. Who is the best out of all of them? Is there a particular team I should focus on first?
8) There seems to be a lot of daily content to burn through. Is any of it really necessary? Should I be trying to do all of the daily stuff?

How are Vision cards ordered? I am trying to find a particular card and I have so many hundreds I can't find it. I can't seem to find a way to sort and it does not appear alphabetical. Any help?
FFRK player here. I played FFBE for about a year when it first came out. I quit for several reasons but the biggest ones were how grindy it felt to collect all of the items. Also seemed like the gacha rates for top units was incredibly low and I would spend all of my lapis and wind up with nothing but junk when I saw so many other players with 3+ of the top units.
Has the game gotten any better since the beginning especially when it comes to the grind needed to play? Have the gacha rates gotten better? If I were to start playing again, would it be fairly easy for me to catch up? I loved the music and the gameplay but those couple of things caused me to quit. Just seeing what everyone thinks that has been playing the game for a while.
FFBE is very very different than what it was at the beginning. For context, I play both FFBE and FFRK on and off and recently came back to retry FFBE after not being able to stomach the grind anymore last year.
Basically the new units you want are NV units. We've gone through 5*s and 6*s (likely the last unit rarity you remember?), then 7*s which required two dupe 5*s to make (the drop rate was increased to make this easier) and finally NV units which some 5*s can be made into with LOTs of dupes (five 5*s = one NVA), or can be summoned as an already-NV unit (no 5* equivalent; these are NV base units). You can awaken NVA and NV units further to unlock stuff like Brave Shifts (second form) and Brave Bursts (like limit breaks but on steroids). This all sounds pretty ridiculous for the state of the Gatcha but it works out well since 5* drop rates are very high now (they're the new 4* basically) and NV rates are usually 3% or higher on some special deal banners. You also get NV Rain for free just from progressing through content, and although he's an older NV unit he'll still club his way through all the the high difficulty Extra content in the most recent story season.
FFBE's gatcha is also somewhat better than FFRK's in some ways. The safety net feature is definitely a big plus, like if you know from JP Foresight that there's a particular unit coming and you really want to get them, you can save up enough Lapis to 100% definitely get them, and it won't force you to skip 3+ months of banners to do so (maybe around 1-1.5 months of saving?) like with FFRK's joke of a safety net. FFBE also has the same "Any new unit is going to rock" style gatcha when it comes to Casual play; just like pulling a DASB in FFRK right now is basically like pulling a nuclear warhead you can just drop on anything but the end-endgame content, pulling a new shiny NV unit in FFBE will allow you to just thrash your way through most of its permanent content just by how absurdly overturned they are.
FFBE's grind is basically optional at this point. If you just want to play it casually and not worry about Ranking events and whatnot, you can pretty much do that and only really need to log in daily at least, maybe do the daily missions and also try to nab all the individual rewards of note from whatever events are going on. Higher difficulty event content is kind of optional, usually just giving you EX tickets which usually don't amount to any units of importance. Most of the temporary event gear nowadays is easily accessible, and old event gear is coming back as craftable stuff you can farm (and even upgrade) from stuff you get in new permanent content. Basically, FFBE is shifting more towards permanent content for rewarding casual "anytime" play, while the turbowhales get to enjoy their high-difficulty ranking events (which are really just number-pushing events) and basically try to recuperate the resources they inevitably spent to rank well from Ranking rewards.

I’d recommend pulling for the new Reberta, I haven’t seen the exact numbers but she seems great. Her support abilities are solid and her damage is likely going to be amazing, at least for COW (morale is exclusive to COW events and abilities that scale off of morale are typically extremely strong compared to most abilities). Only issue I see atm is her Mystic Breath chaining which likely doesn’t have many chain partners. The new Esther is also amazing as a damage dealer and solid as a tank, though her banner ended a couple weeks ago. Apart from that I’d recommend more or less going with the tier list.

Two quick questions:
Esther is great even out of the gate. Ex1 unlocks her brave shift which can be situationally amazing or mediocre depending on your needs (it’s hard to use her as both damage dealer and tank at the same time). If you just want her as a damage dealer, EX0 is fine but there’s a big jump with EX2 with her autocasting a 250% LB boost (she has no buff except for on the magnus so this opens up some T1 clearing options if you can get someone to fill her LB gauge, especially if you have the vision card Leave Things to Me!) and gaining 500 extra flat attack.
