JP memorial version has better than i expected. It not a full off-line version but its a really nice gift
Lets pretend that 90% of ex GL players want a GL memorial version. Whats is yours opinion if we ask for this "goodbye gift"?

A lot of people helped me so I'm just gonna pass on the love. Basically, you need to have a (free) VPN to connect to Japan, create a new Google account and use it on the playstore such that you can download the game from scratch.
You'll need to clear the data / cache of your Google play store in order to find FFBE JP, otherwise you'll be stuck with whatever prior setting and location you had it in the first place, such that it won't "recognise" that you're "in" Japan.
Once you download the ffbe game app, agree to the terms & conditions, close the various pop up announcements, then click on the top option to download the memorial version which is abt 8 gigs and might take a while to complete. Then there you go!
I'm having trouble even making a Japanese account. I can't get past the phone verification. 😩 They're trying to force me to do it. But I know those fucks will figure out where I really am if I use my real number. Or...is it okay to do that?
No need to do the phone verification, or even linking a Japanese credit card to the account. As said, just get connected to Japan via VPN, go to your usual Google account under Chrome, create a new account like normal wherein you just fill in your name and DOB, select a new username, create a password and that's all..
From there, just follow the other steps I mentioned.. Especially the part about clearing your play store data cache by going to your phone settings and choose manage apps. That should do the trick!

One note - I could only create the JP account on my phone with my VPN, Google would still ask me to scan a QR code in the registration process

Is not recommed to have paid lapis so before you click in download on jp game you need to ask for refund for all yours paid lapis that was not spent .
You need a JP Google Play account or Apple ID. Alternatively if you have a rooted device or emulator, you can request the files and move them yourself. The app NEEDS to be downloaded from the stores because they also host the game’s files. DM me for the Android files
I only just downloaded the memorial version, and I tried to find like a unit breakdown like what the original game had, but it doesn't seem to have it. Like when you hold down on the unit, it brings to a screen where you can read its info, and choose animations for attacking or casting magic and even the LB.
I want to be able to watch my favourite characters' LB most of all.. Is there an option to? I haven't been able to figure out everything yet.
I kind want a GL version with everything you had written.i played many gacha games but This game is the only gacha that i could create a bond. 😁
It shameful that GL dont give to us the same love that JP players recieved
JP was clearly more considerate than the Global version ever was. Speaks volumes on how S-E (or at least that particular division) regarded us. They could have easily done a legacy version here.
What content and characters are there on the memorial version? Is it really worth it to chek out?
All of the FF related contents are in the memorial version except the collaboration ones.

I dont have it so i not sure .... but if all information about the memorial version is truth you can see units,vision cards and there are some scripted fights ("kind of fight" because you cant choose the party).
Can't download the memorial version since the app isn't available on non-JP stores...

I don’t think we’ll ever get a global memorial version. They had like a year of content to translate after they eos’d.
FFBE is my favorite ff story of all time. It’s a shame it’ll be lost to history just because of bad gacha gaming practices.
Typical Japan in my book: Content for GL? They can screw themselves! We come first.
It is for that reason a lot of other GL FF gachas got the EoS before the JP version.
Many times you will hear the argument about "muh localisation costs". They are not big in the whole picture of gamedev at all. The issue is that Asian gamedevs are on average incredibly incompetent at solving most basic font implementation problems that even juniors can fix.
It a shame.. but at least we can download de memorial version.
Am I missing an option somewhere or are none of the CG LBs in the memorial version? I've checked in fights and in the unit codex but the CGs never play. That was the main reason I downloaded the memorial version in the first place.
Yeah, same here. Somehow watching the LBs on like YouTube just isn't as good as the phone. Is there any info out there on whether we can still access the LBs?
Grateful to have the app on my phone. I can have Rain and Lasswell chill after a decade of Vlads!
My one wish would be... if I could at least view the collab units I pulled (like Sinoalice's Memorial App), but I understand licensing and whatnot are tough.

No battle at all in memorial edition? Annoying
"mock battle" or "fake battles " that its was promised.... but i not sure because i dont understand theirs idiom. Maybe Googletrad whanted to say was "they wanted to put in de end was not possible"
My phone is full and with a borken screen so maybe if it dont have mock battle i still gonna download in my new phone asa i buy one .
Would be better with battles but i still want the units design and theirs cards even if just to open that app twice every other month..
You know what I miss the most? The mechanics.
The units were cool but it was the gearing and fights I loved the most.
Gearing up and taking on trials using the meta and then more niche tactics was so fun, I always had something to spend my nrg on.
No game has scratched the itch like that since GL shutdown.
Honestly, probably a 0% chance of GL getting this. They would have to turn around and spend money on translators for all of the stuff after GL's end of S4 and any other big anniversary events GL didn't get.
I'm probably going to 2 phone this. One to play and a 2nd to use Google lens to translate everything as it happens. :-)
Or maybe I should just sit down and try and re-learn Japanese after having not used it for 20+ years (and not even being very good at it back then).

I'm pretty sure it's scripted battles throughout the story cutscenes. You can't control who's in your party or anything fun like that.
