The boxing referee told the fighters "no rabbit punches". What's a rabbit punch?

Boxing, not bowling. Try to concentrate!

Fresh squeezed is so much better than concentrate

Some boxers used to hide rabbits in their boxing gloves to give their punches a little extra "kick". The practice was outlawed in 1981 after the US Boxing Commission was sued by a group of animal-rights advocates and magicians.

Well, Rabbits aren't very good boxers, and its considered very unsporting to punch one.

it's the same as kangaroo punch - lie on your back and bicycle them quickly in the chin

Boxers are superstitious; many keep a "lucky" rabbit's foot in their shorts.

They're not allowed to palm it for a "lucky" rabbit punch, though.

It's named after Bugs Bunny. You turn around really quick and put on a wig and lipstick. When you turn back around the other fighter will fall in love and become distracted. That's when you drop some horseshoes into your boxing glove and then hit them with it.

It was officially deemed unsportsmanlike, but everyone knows the real reason it was banned was due to the horseshoe company not wanting to be associated with boxing, so they lobbied against it.

It's like a paper punch, but with blood. Regulations have really changed the sport.

A punch that really quickly makes lots of little cute punches if you leave2 of them alone

It's where you hit your opponent with a pie. This is a reference to Buggs Bunny.

Its actually a mistranslation of "Sujeta esta pata de conejo mientras te golpeo." Which was an old Aztec tradition of holding a rabbits foot while punching someone who had rabies, as it was thought to be a cure. It's actually Rabid Punch.

A rabbit punch in boxing is when you punch to the back of the head on the spine. It’s called that because that’s how you kill rabbits.

Edit: ok I get it, Calvin dad answers, my bad

A rabbit punch is when you attempt to claw at your opponent while punching. You'd pounce at your foe while flicking your wrists downward.

It's kind of hard to do while wearing gloves though. The rule predates the usage of boxing gloves, but the refs still have to say it.

It's "rabid punches." He means you can't bite the other guy's hand.

You see, rabbits have very powerful hind legs, and are prone to kicking when they fight, so a rabbit “punch” would actually be a kick.
