I've just started playing Eve and been doing the Amarr tutorial. After the initial fights and you recovering a civilian mining laster upgrade you are told to undock immediately and upon undocking Aura says my info panel should have the new coordinates to a mining site but they are not showing. I have no idea where to go. I've warped to every mining site in the system but the quest is not progressing. Upon docking the 'undock' button is highlighting again but there is no more info when you undock.

I've tried to restart the game and it triggers the quest again when docked, but then I end up in the same situation whereby i don't get the new coordinates to the mining site after leaving the station.

What am I missing? Does anyone know what to do next?

Edit: Thanks for all the replies! Nothing seemed to work and after 2 days this morning when I logged in the quest suddenly progressed and I could continue. Something bugged I guess and automagically solved itself.

  • Hi, I'm new too, but try this: leave the station and right-click anywhere in space. The agent's mission should appear in the dropdown menu at the bottom. Expanding the mission should show the agent's location and the mission itself, along with a link to warp to that location. That's how I do it. Once the mission is finished, I use the same dropdown menu to warp back to the agent's station (it's even worked for me after multiple jumps between stargates). Give it a try. ;)

Go under anomalies. I don’t remember the missions but there should be some training anoms

The other option would be to dock and talk to the agent again

  • This looks bugged. From what you're describing, you're at Step 1 of Hidden Prospects as outlined here: https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/AIR_New_Player_Experience

This should have been initiated from your opportunities window and should have an opportunity active for you to interact with. As you don't have any of that, it does seem broken.

As a final gameplay option, try opening The Agency (ALT-M by default) and see if any encounters are active with the Hidden Prospects name that you can engage with.

If that fails, it'd be a case of contacting support and stating you're stuck with nowhere to warp to for Hidden Prospects.

yeah, think your right about where they are at.

  • Hi, check the opportunities tab to see if the mission has the view icon checked.

The active window says 0 opportunities, there are no missions listed there.

Haven't done the tutorial in ages, but is there not an agent you should talk to in the station? Try docking up, agents should be on the right hand side

  • Another option as in local if anyone is on that mission, fleet up with them and then warp to them. See if that works, if its just the mission prompt thats broken you should be okay. Possibly, with a fair wind to your back... fingers crossed...

  • Yes, that has also helped me.

  • If this is the AIR New Player Experience , i believe you are supposed to meet up Ballin Ferrus, Commander of AIR Security,

His location is in the overview the overview is that spreadsheet typically on the upper right hand side of your screen when in space. I believe its the general tab. ( should be his name ) if you click on his name then press keyboard hotkey D, youll warp to his location & then the mission continues ... or right click his name & on the menu choose warp to O. Youll be mining rocks to uncover a radiation source thats interfering with ship sensors.

side note: theres a Eve Wiki which pretty much documents everything you need to know about Eve & if you need info, you can go there, do a search, & read. There also eveonline.com/eve-academy which i recommend you need & theres forums.eveonline.com which is full of information about eve.

hetes the eve academy write up of where i think you are in the tutorials.

  • You can actually open a support tickets to ask for assistance when you were stuck in game. You can find it under your neocom under help.

  • Another option as in local if anyone is on that mission, fleet up with them and then warp to them. See if that works, if its just the mission prompt thats broken you should be okay. Possibly, with a fair wind to your back... fingers crossed...

  • Sometimes the mission tracker bugs out and doesn’t appear. Talk to the agent and make sure the track button is selected at the bottom of the window.
