I’m writing this as someone in Sedition who’s tired of the mismatch between Youngpuke2’s message and what’s happening on grid
TL;DR
- Calls itself an “independent lowsec alliance’ on twitch, podcasts, and interviews
- Anchors structures under the guard of numerous large alliances
- Meanwhile, pretty much every max form we show up to is anchoring on some fucking BIGAB FC
The BIGAB problem (aka: “can we create our own content?”)
Sedition used to matter. We used to form epic fleets enlisted in Galmil and fight for survival against Snuffed Out. We would get epic independent dread fights in Sinq Laison, and actually, you know, do our own thing.
Now, half of our fights are anchoring on a BIGAB FC, listening to their target calls. Anything that’s remotely challenging is a BIGAB FC handling it.
We can’t even defend our own Fortizar without BIGAB FC’ing it and forcing us to fly Rohks.
I came here to fly under Sedition, not Deepwater Hooligans.
The “faction warfare CSM” energy
Our leader goes on and on about the health of faction warfare and how important it is, but we’re not even enlisted in anything. We claim to be an Angel Cartel alliance, but we don’t even run ice heists or participate in any Angel Cartel content.
We just treat it as a way to farm easy ISK. All we do is bully small high sec corporations because we can’t actually fight real lowsec groups.
If we are going to beat the drum about an area of space, why aren’t we participating in it?
Why am I even here?
I joined Sedition because of all of the advertisements of it being an independent group scrapping its way through lowsec. Since I’ve joined, it’s just been anchoring on Deepwater Hooligans. Switch and Youngpuke only run assault frigate fleets and random roams.
I didn’t join to be stuck in TiDi fighting Fraternity.
I didn’t join to be anchoring on some other alliance.
I didn’t join to have my hand held by the top alliance in the game.
We recently took sovereignty after giving other groups so much shit for it. Can we just stop copying other groups like FL33T and do our own thing?

The game does seem to get more and more blobby every year.
If it’s harder to get around the universe, there will be more room for more groups to carve out a home. Jump bridges, cynos, and even WH’s make it too easy for big/rich groups to be anywhere they want to be.
Yes, killing small groups, and preventing some from being created. Thus forcing them to be friends with a big brother (large group)just to survive being attached from the other big group. thus creating super big alliances, creating stagnation of the game, .
I think it's more the timers when you try to siege anything. Attacking a single system means timers for a minimum of 3 structures at different times and in a timezone that's best for the defender.
A big group can get numbers to contest, small groups can't do anything if a few of their players end up busy during their timers.
This is what annoys me: with ansis not creating jumo fatigue, while everything else does, power projection has been unnerfed for large sov alliances and only large sov alliances.

10 months in and pretty happy yp2 wanted a silly vouch to let me in his elitist alliance. Apparently 3 accounts with a total of 350mill SP was not enough.

I mean, this is what you get for accepting youngpuke as your leader.
I mean that’s sort of just the game now, everybody’s obscenely rich, there’s very limited punch-up tools, mainly because the old “We can field a lot of ships but they’re not going to be shiny” is completely gone in favor of everybody being able to afford faction battleships+FAX+Dreads and SRP the lot of it before the next day.
In an environment where it’s hard to generate qualitative advantages (yes it’s poggers if a battleship pilot remembers to put a utility neut on the tackle coming in, no it doesn’t really matter in the context of a fleet fight) the only angle to approach it from is quantitative.
When I started the LS meta was AB Hacs vs t1 battleships for the most part but eventually people just realized that you can simply be bigger and be willing to feed a few fax, and that meta goes out the window.

LS'ers are literally the worst. This sub is littered with them either crying about NS groups or bragging about the "elite pvp/content". So now in the Southern warzone, you have everything you would want. Tons of content to shoot each other and Frat. Dronelands close by for a really good fight club with easy access to Freeport. Take SOV for the hell of it. FW pvp for the hell of it. The list goes on and on. Can you guys just like stop and breath? Biggest/best expansion since Havoc, which happened to be the catalyst for LS growth. Just have fun. Shut up and be happy you have a LS advocate in YP2 fighting for a better game experience in LS. Cause if you remember 3 or 4 years ago, LS was the worst place in Eve.

As a member of shadow cartel, we want to fight you guys, not unfair blobs, not super capital drops. Somewhat fair fights (swinging in either direction). Brawls, kiting we don’t care! However bigab seems to screw it up quite often. They aren’t going to take a fight unless the odds are stacked so greatly in there favor that it is impossible to counter them.

Unfortunately this game will always be the same due to what ccp did, let people create massive stocks of caps and supers. Then nerf the rorqual and increase costs for supers... which means older alliances will always stay powerful and no one new is coming or even playing the game because there's so many more easier fun options out there that are cheaper, or free and community driven..
Even if there are new players, they're joining a blob because there's no where else to go.
Meanwhile ccp is focused on cryptoslop instead of making eve a better game.
The balance patch that had one ship in it is insane.
