It's been YEARS since there have been any overhauls to NPC missions. I understand it's would be a large undertaking and is probably not going to happen any time soon. But, Iwas thinking it would be awesome, in a game full of nerds like me, if we could get a Battle Report when we turn in a mission. Total enemies killed, total damage dealt/received, total heal amount, average DPS, total isk earned, a chart with damages and heals over time, and other stats to geek out on. But then I realized that it would probably be easier, and apply to way more capsuleers if it were instead tied to the bounty payouts.
It could be just like a kill mail where it pops up as a notification and we can view it if we want to. Given that it doesn't need to happen in real time, it could be a backend process that parses the data between bounty timestamps; no bounty for that period, no battle report.
I think it would give us a clearer picture of how our ships are performing, and make the content more engaging. Imagine being able to go ratting in 2 different fits and compare the numbers side by side to see how much difference that 5% implant or upgraded module really made.
Perhaps for Abyss runners, the report could be generated when the Abyssal Trace closes.
P.S. To go along with the lore I wouldn't mind seeing the total number of unwilling human crew members that were vaporized in the carnage as well. If I'm running missions to help dwindle a faction's forces, I want to know I'm really making a difference.
don't rework it- create a new system of PvE. Let people do the old content if they want- lots of people play just for this
even if there is heavy overlap, more content choices, not less
Majority of mission income comes from LP anyway, bounty only constitutes towards a very small portion
It's not that hard to just record run time and bounty yourself, the missions are always static

You can already do this with gamelogs in a way that includes far more detail that CCP would ever include in a concise mission debrief.

knowing ccp, in the rework they will make any mission higher than level 3 hic point you for 5 minutes in total while flagging you suspect and adding a warpable beacon on the system overview.
Ok, then how about a permanent running stats screen like Warframe has.It doesn't have to be a fancy UI like the one they (CCP) removed not that long ago, it could just be another tab on our character screen with them all listed out.
The amazing thing about EVE is CCP gives you the tools to make it yourself :)
