"Buddy, you're going to become SPACERICH by salvaging in Pochven, and we'll be your security. If anyone attacks you, scramble them; you keep the reward."
The sacrificed brother will fully agree, unaware that his skull will join the mountain of skulls at the foot of Khorne, the blood god. But he's on borrowed time, because others will come hoping for an easy fight against a newcomer who can't defend himself. That's when you and your 15 friends in Hecate will ambush him.
Eve is NOT a solo game, play with your corpmate ! No matter how many Barghest the multiboxer brings to the grid, Khorne will have all their skulls.
That's been my experience 2 out of 3 times I went, but the rush of escaping that third time when I warped to the star and escaped in my coercer with just hull HP left was exhilarating! I can't wait to get good at pochven content, got to train more skills first.
Last time I ran into them with a small gang of 5 ships (including tackle), they all docked with their 7 Vedmaks + logi, which was truly unfortunate because they were the only logged-in, non-OBS multiboxer group I found in the entirety of Pochven at the time.
"fights this last week". This obviously means several fights over the course of a week. Not one instance of content last week. If you look at their killboard, they have more than a page worth of kills and deaths almost every day of the last week. More than my non-pochven PvP corp.
What a stupid comment. Can't believe people are upvoting this.
Looks like very few highsec ganks and a wide variety of combat ships, from T1 cruisers/tackle to marauders. Guessing you think I'm coping because I'm a pochven player (I'm not) since you have a problem with reading comprehension.
Looks like your alliance only did shitty ns/ls frigate pvp before it died—and really sucked at it. Maybe you're the one coping with the fact that another group is having fun, and it's your fault not CCP's that you never did.
That's this whole post, nobody cares about your unrelated, anecdotal comment about how hard it is to run an irrelevant Corp in another part of space bro.
Flown with Totality and Emperor Vel if he’s still around and tbh I wouldn’t call what yall do small gang (usually just jumping anything they can catch with 10 people) but you do get content as locals we all get content because we know each other and know how the issue is daytrippers don’t know where everyone is
The fact that most (all?) wormholes to Pochven come from Highsec really protects them a lot. If we had occasional nullsec wormholes to Pochven, they would make for some nice whaling trips.
Well you can use a filament to send up to 15 people at once. Send a few groups like that and then meet up when yall get to poch and the kill the barghests.
the wormhole spawn locations are physically close to where the systems are on the map, skarkon wormholes spawn in null, its why horde had thst as poch staging until they lost the citadel
Yeah that's what I was thinking about, they're all clustered about and don't move around like regular wormholes do. A new class of wormholes that move through nullsec like regular holes and provides access to that region might add back some spiciness to it.
We do a weekly pochven roam, small gang. 3-8 people. It's always a blast tbh. Not a lot of fair fights but u can catch some content pretty easily. And sometimes content catches you.
pochven shouldn't have been a 50 trillion isk faucet for multiboxers, but an incredibly dangerous high earning non-scalable region for pve
think nullsec anoms that payout 4-5 times, shoot drones instantly/every time, and tackle you until you clear the site or clear the no-bounty stasis tower with 100k ehp.
this would be peak for fights. it makes it easy for a solo to hunt the regulars, small gangs to hunt down marauders, and larger gangs to hunt and fight the smaller gangs, etc up the chain.
pvp environment ought to be a grass roots environment. if you make it viable for solos, you get everything else naturally
think nullsec anoms that payout 4-5 times, shoot drones instantly/every time, and tackle you until you clear the site or clear the no-bounty stasis tower with 100k ehp.
This feels very wormhole adjacent. K space with high end wormhole like sites, basically?
I feel the main issue is that no one is going to farm a site that tackle you for a while if they don't believe they have the fleet to cover any gang wandering into them. They're never going to solo farm in a way a solo ganker can prey on.
I feel the main issue is that no one is going to farm a site that tackle you for a while if they don't believe they have the fleet to cover any gang wandering into them.
then organize- a bc can run one site and make his post insurance cost 8 times over. all he has to do is do one and he's set for the day.
wormholes are good, but the problem with wormholes is that you can legit go 8 hours of farming uninterrupted because wormholes space is so big and empty
pochven should have been high earning, unscalable, but risky as a result of pvpers. it should be a ticket to incredible riches as a solo player, and infinite content as a pvper.
I think the idea of the K space wormhole has merit. Wormhole farming requires a lot of commitment to the field and the only reason it doesn't generate more conflict is the difficulty in finding and accessing the hole being farmed. If you make something more open but with great payout, there will be fleets of farmers to attack.
I don't think it'll favor solo though. It's better to farm this kind of commitment heavy site in group so you're stuck in it for less long and you have more defense.
Unless you put an escalation system in there to make it so larger fleets still have to stay at it for a while.
If there's no good risk to reward, then the people have no reason to go there.
The game has been going through a slow and painful death since the peak of 2013 but I don't think that's the fault of the game itself.
MMORPGs require too much time and people nowadays have less of it. And there's so many other great games to play compared to the little we had to choose from in the early 2010s (most of the bangers were on console).
I've played since 2007 and even I have a hard time finding the motivation to play. Yeeting ships for content costs too much for the type of fun I want to have and PVP is always one sided, usually against me. I've been a carebear most of my career, usually highsec L4's but they haven't added any new and exciting missions in years. Caroline's Star was the last universe-wide event I actually found interesting. Kinda gave me that Apocrypha feel when wormholes first came out - new content that we speculated and explored organically, instead of everything being spoiled by test servers.
I was excited to log in each day, read about the events, see it growing bigger, and watch scope videos on the decloakings. Wondering what the Jove observatories were. I was in nullsec as well, and I sat in front of drifter wormholes with a Phoenix popping them to get the components they dropped because nobody knew what they were for and sold high. Was exciting and fun for me at least.
Drone Sites are easy content, doable in Cruisers and are fast to get there from Jita. I don't know why its empty, but I do enjoy getting easy ISK from there.
I always do too and I only have 2 accounts to multi box. The grinding trig standings is a bitch and a half though. I think im up to like 2.5 or some odd on them.
Then do something else. Faction warfare lets you get navy dread bpcs for 1m LP (which comes by fast if you’re dedicated); those sell for a billion on contract. Or Abyssals can get you potentially hundreds of millions per hour too with the right kit. I’ve never set foot in Pochven and I don’t care for it.
I mean fits can always change depending on how you want to play. Some ships did get the number of slots or bonuses revamped over the years. For instance the Succubus got a buff not too long ago. AFAIK the Gila is still king whether you do active or passive tank.
Damn... I remember having like.. maybe 85% of the skills maxed to fly the Gila "Perfectly".
And I was struggling to clear T3's. So I never understood how people did it so easily. I think I lost one active and two passive.. Povertilla? So i was massively in the hole when I gave up.
So to do t4-t6 in the Gila, you need to start investing over a billion at least in implants alone, bring drugs, and abyssal roll your modules like shield booster and stuff. Overall you are about 4b-6b deep in just got to do nothing. Then you have to reeeaally study your enemies well and prioritize targets without flying out of the edge and away from the gate.
Maybe I'll look into getting a new T3 fit and trying my luck again.. I've been itching to play but want to secure a money maker.
I used to only do WH exploration and it didn't really pay me well, maybe look into doing missions? I know I had.. Gallente up to level 3, but I'm guessing the market isn't very good over there these days.
Let me tell you something. Go to high sec, do combat anomalies for a chance of faction parts and escalations. The scan down cosmic anomalies for special combat sites; these sites can net anywhere between 50m-300m depending on your luck. Some of the sites you scan down are also sometimes popped through escalations. I would not do the 5/10s (especially the blood escalations) unless you have a very tanks battleship that can get pummelled in the final room and survive.
I can fly a wide range of ships, what would you suggest? Capping out at BS sized.
When I first started Eve back in... 2019? I was going around Highsec in a VNI, trying to hunt escalations but never really got any. Granted I had no idea what I was doing.
I'm sitting here, trying to find the energy to re-download the game so I can go liquidate all of the random ships I acquired over the years, and essentially 'start from scratch'.
I want to get to a point where I can comfortably fly Loki's around without being scared of the 'Low' EHP.
I just stick a sister probe launcher on the ships I want to use to find sites. You can even use an Algos. But I admit sometimes the days are dry. Point is keep trying.
Mmh.. Well, Might as well fly the ships i've always wanted too.. So a Loki, maybe some of the pirate ships... always did like the Garmur but I doubt that can clear the sites.
The stations have a softer standings requirement, you just have to have more than -0.05 to dock/repair/fit/use the market rather than the 3.0 or whatever you used to need for the gates. The uni wiki has the details.
Bring a new brother with a Sunesis, and tell him:
"Buddy, you're going to become SPACERICH by salvaging in Pochven, and we'll be your security. If anyone attacks you, scramble them; you keep the reward."
The sacrificed brother will fully agree, unaware that his skull will join the mountain of skulls at the foot of Khorne, the blood god. Eve not a solo game? Those 20 barghests are all the same guy...
No matter, if so, Khorne will have 20 skulls.
I'd go there more often, but every time I do, someone kills me. The locals suck. Not friendly at all.
That's been my experience 2 out of 3 times I went, but the rush of escaping that third time when I warped to the star and escaped in my coercer with just hull HP left was exhilarating! I can't wait to get good at pochven content, got to train more skills first.
Small gang in Pochven is actually awesome.
It used to be way more active for small gang. Loved it. It’s kind of ass now
take a look at Vyraj. alliance killboard. We do mostly small gang. We have some awesome grabs and fights this last week.
https://zkillboard.com/alliance/99013846/
Oh man, you guys got content LAST WEEK? What a content bonanza
Last time I ran into them with a small gang of 5 ships (including tackle), they all docked with their 7 Vedmaks + logi, which was truly unfortunate because they were the only logged-in, non-OBS multiboxer group I found in the entirety of Pochven at the time.

Lot of pods, highsec ganks, and t3c and unties taking down t1 dresses. Cope more my dude.
Looks like very few highsec ganks and a wide variety of combat ships, from T1 cruisers/tackle to marauders. Guessing you think I'm coping because I'm a pochven player (I'm not) since you have a problem with reading comprehension.

I think it's is the place where smallgangers live, less where they fight
[deleted]
None of this is selling pochven as a place with loads of content.

Must print more money than wormholes with pochven input broadcaster multiboxing
The fact that most (all?) wormholes to Pochven come from Highsec really protects them a lot. If we had occasional nullsec wormholes to Pochven, they would make for some nice whaling trips.
CSMs get on it!
There are magic strings that teleport you directly to pochven and they are cheap
How do you use those to move a fleet that's able to fight 20 barghests?
Well you can use a filament to send up to 15 people at once. Send a few groups like that and then meet up when yall get to poch and the kill the barghests.
You click them in your inventories then move opposite directions around the circle until you meet up
the wormhole spawn locations are physically close to where the systems are on the map, skarkon wormholes spawn in null, its why horde had thst as poch staging until they lost the citadel

Same in J space. I think the Nexus event offers safe mining and exploration in hisec...
Just join our npsi fleets and help us take the fight against the multiboxers
https://forums.eveonline.com/t/pochven-the-morgue-100-independent-pvp-npsi-community/476603
If they updated OBS sites to have more intense EWAR and Logi needs to make boxing much harder the place would be healthier.
Not entirely though. Apparently there was a 20 man barghest fleet but you refused to engage.
There’s 13 pages of zkill for the last 24 hours and a good majority of the people there don’t register their characters to zkill for opsec reasons.
That’s better than many regions.
Bro that is all one guy losing his Barghest fleet...
Sounds like op found 40 targets, they just didn't prepare for a fight
God having to settle for killing an entire fleet of Barghests, what a shitty life.
Their point being being, one engagement doesn’t mean the place is alive with content
For what its worth all it takes is any person on the killmail to be on zkill, including the one killed. It isnt possible to control
We do a weekly pochven roam, small gang. 3-8 people. It's always a blast tbh. Not a lot of fair fights but u can catch some content pretty easily. And sometimes content catches you.
content...
Well the EVE devs are to busy working on EVE Frontier Crypoto so don’t expect any major content/game changes any time soon.
Just more skins
welcome to pochven, were imput brodcasting reign supreme
Only reason to go there if you're not one of the few multiboxers farming it is to filament out.
Or to join our NPSI fleets to try and turbostomp those multiboxers... 😉
Should be pretty easy for them to have an ear in the known NPSI channels and dock when they're forming up. Do those catch them often?
In a perfectly logical world, that would be the case. But this is EVE.
Yes, we catch them pretty often.
And just to show I'm not lying, this is from today:

Caroline's Star was a bug originally IIRC. The devs thought it was cool enough to expand on and add the lore.
I was excited to log in each day, read about the events, see it growing bigger, and watch scope videos on the decloakings. Wondering what the Jove observatories were. I remember stopping caring when they killed the Amarr Empress.
I play this game all the time and didn't even know Amarr had an Empress.
Have you tried any of the revamped sites?
Then create 20 alts and fight the multiboxers with your own fleet!
Don't complain about the problem, become the problem!
Hey, ccp would have ran out of business years ago if people don't run 10 or more accounts
PCU up, plex volume up, destruction up, everybody is happy, what's the problem?
Drone Sites are easy content, doable in Cruisers and are fast to get there from Jita. I don't know why its empty, but I do enjoy getting easy ISK from there.
I feel like you're lying to lure us innocent souls to our deaths 😵
Not dead enough
I disagree. I’ve been having a great time in Pochven.
What have you been doing there that has been fun?
Probably multibox mining or megaboxing Observatory Flashpoints.
Mega boxing?
Multiboxing but with way more than is needed.
whats the number we should be looking at? for mining, im up to 4. 3 mining and 1 boosting
He's one of the poch boxers.
Pochven, for boxers, is the best place to be. For potential wealth, fights and limit testing it is simply unmatched.
Combat scanning people using filaments

Have the Abyssal fits stayed the same over the last few years? I could never figure it out.

High grade crystal set does like 70% of the work for you, the rest is x / a type shield modules.
I don’t have access and I’m not grinding it so I’m not going there. Open gates it will get busy
The only gates that are still standings locked are the home system ones, the rest of the triangle is open, they changed this quite a while ago.
Huh thanks ate the npc statoons available too?
