Who's generating TiDi in The Forge atm?
I'm trying to get into PvP and everything is starting to feel demoralizing for lack of content. I've studied up on FW as much as I can and spent all day in FW space, including the super populated ones and couldn't find any fights. Everything says t1 frigates and plexing, but I was uncontested no matter what I did. I even YOLO'd it into the BF and it was just my militia BSs sitting around after kicking off the enemy BSs.
I guess my question is how am I supposed to find this content to learn PvP?
Where are you roaming? Anywhere near Heydieles, Tama, Amamake, Vlillirier, and a couple others is nearly non-stop fights, especially if you’re in a T1 frigate.
I started in Onnamon, went throughout black rise up to Kehjari area, down to Frairie area. Plexed a few times in scouts. I'll go check out Heydieles, thanks.
So I have a pile of Imperial Navy officer insignia. I can find LP store items that need Sergeant, Major, Colonel, General etc, but what about Midshipman insignia? Are they simply to be dumped into NPC buy orders?
Why is the official EvE Twitch channel streaming Russian softcore?
Did the part 2 of winter event introduce any new drops?
yes, a skin for the new ship, some skillpoints and 75 Plex on tge event track
Sorry I meant drops from LADs or event sites, not rewards from the track.
Newbro
How does one avoid or escape webbing. If I get webbed I have found I’m just destroyed there is no way out if it if I’m mining
If you are a newbro, and mining, I would assume you are in a Venture in an Asteroid Belt. In HiSec, your scout combat drones should be able to take on rats spawning on the belt. Getting webbed doesn't stop you going to warp, so if your drones are shot, you should still be able to get away from the rats.
Or am I misunderstanding your situation?
You warp off before they catch you. Once you're caught you're toast.
No stupid questions? Will someone buy my as cheap Loki I can whelp so I can stop using the 1 hour of playtime I have to fundraise. I have had the skills since 2020 but no bucks
Here's a question: When you web an adversary armed with turrets (PVP or NPC), does that help their damage application as well as yours?
If the target is using missiles and you're moving just as fast before and after webbing the target, their damage application won't improve at all.
If the target is using turrets, it is tricky because if they are orbiting you at speeds high enough to out-track their own guns before webs, webbing them will then slow them down so in turn, their lower angular velocity will help their tracking.
In the world of
kungfuEve, speed determines the winner. You want webs to make your targets slower, so you get to dictate the engagement range, the "downsides" of webs aren't really downsides at all.Yes, the question was mostly about enemy turret tracking while they're webbed, figuring it's a tricky math involving your own movement while doing it.
I was watching Eve Alone and apparently Rogue Cloning Facilities(special sites in starter systems which had rats dropping only civilian modules) are no more. Is that true? I don't have EVE at the moment to confirm
I have played the tutorial missions on all three of my characters in the last 12 months, and I don't think I have ever seen rats drop Civilian stuff. Don't recall seeing any "Rogue Cloning Facilities" either.
Does everyone delete their excess minerals after reprocessing? (Meaning the stack of like 12 that wasnt a full reprocessable stack) or do you keep them for "the next time"?
why would I delete it? If you just reprocessed it for air career missions you could always sell it, instead of deleting. If youre going to reprocess more just keep it
As someone dipping my toes back in, solo for now.
What tools do most people use these days?
Also, any suggestions for WH mapping tools? I can't remember what i used..
When I was solo in Thera I used EVE EYE, other than that - pathfinder for mapping with friends, EVE Guru to get help on which stuff to trade
Solo in Thera? How's that?
I didn't use Thera much, always figured it was a pvp hot spot
Unless you get bubblecamped on undock, pick an eject station as your home base (2 out of 4 are eject), or stupidly warp direct to a close to jita/amarr HS hole, there is pretty much zero chance to get non-consentual PvP if you are going from Thera to NS.
If you want a good entry to Thera, get to Thera in a cloaky scanner, scan connected J-space systems, find C2-C3 system, find their HS connections, and then you have a pathway that 3-4 people in the entire game know (sometimes, exceptions apply). Use it instead of "oh god there is a 5 to jita thera hole, let me quickly bring stuff"
There quite a few options for a lot of different routes you want to go, do you have anything specifically?
I just figured if there was any 'Must-Haves'
I want to look into doing more exploration/hunting. So probably try my luck in.. maybe bombers at first, maybe a Astero, and then work my way up to using a Loki.
So, wormhole mapping for sure, to keep track of where I go, any kind of mapping people use for navigating around lowsec and null for gatecamps, or just system activity?
