Hello everyone!

I asked something similar recently but I am still not sure if it is just me (or maybe I am doing something wrong in trance) that post hypnotic suggestions not really work on me..

For example I often tried chastity files/curses and I read from a lot of people who say that they were supprised that those files actually worked on them and they even got frustrated that they couldn't cum anymore.

Do those people kinda trick themselfes into thinking that they can't.?

So is it kinda like a roleplay those people play to themselfes and they actually just don't really try to resist?

What I don't really get is that the subconscious mind is way more suggestible when in trance...

How do I experience Trance:

I still have thoughts when i trance, I am way more open and relaxed and focused.

I recently try to just focus on the words that are being said,

but try not to make anything happen (because I think that would be an feeling / emotion I bring into the trance when I think that I have to make something happen.).

So it's more like listening to the words, seeing the story/pictures in my mind and feelings that are being described etc. more like reading a book.

What is the mechanism of suggestions that they work?

Do post hypnotic suggestions work throught emotions like fear and excitement, or is there really a deep subconscious level which can change things on a higher level than your conscious decisions?

  • I used to be the same way...post-hypnotic did nothing for me...but what finally got me was that my tist started putting in suggestions that were not 'too far out there', things that would seem kind of normal, so that when I reacted to the triggers, they seemed like perfectly normal things to do.

Eventually she started building on those successes with post hypnotic triggers that were a little more out of the ordinary...but by that time I was pretty conditioned to follow her suggestions.

  • the way I see it, trance needs to be trained, so that you can become good at it.

imagine learning how to use a bike as a kid, it takes a while. trance is the same thing.

having thoughts during the session could be a distraction, or your mind just wanders, while listening in the background.

post suggestions are a bit more tricky to get right, and need to be trained as well. as you said, you saw people using anti-orgasm files, preventing them from cumming. they likely listened daily (or 2 times a day) for a more then a week, in order for their mind to just accept it, for some it can up to a month if not longer. which is fine, becasue you might "want it" but your subconcious decides "maybe we can try a little bit, but imma pull you right out if I find that it is too much"

your subconcious mind is a "protection" layer, it listenes to the words said, follows it, but decides if they should be accepted or not. hence why many also just break out of it, mid-trance, or why post suggestions would not works as expected.

  • I think there's a few things going on here.

About the PHSs, it sounds like a subject agency deal. Someone posted a blurb some time ago on how subject agency is about choosing to accept what you want in trance alongside choosing what doesn't affect you. Kind of opened my experience up and I think it'll help you too. They mentioned things like repeating what you want to accept while in trance, even if not specifically requested. So in the way of curses, it could involve saying promises of self denial while in trance or while edging (file specific). I think we need to choose to follow the instructions in trance and out of trance. It's typically easier to agree in trance than out, but the fun happens when the quieter (subconscious) voice wins while out of trance. I recommend you play around with that a little, I promise you won't break trance by agreeing out loud with the file's instructions.

Which brings me to my second point, touching on your second point, it's okay to be yourself while in trance too. You are not necessarily nothing while in trance. u/Same-Nectarine-785 posted a really good description of how a lot of people are still conscious during trance and how that's okay. You won't be any less hypnotized just because you still have thoughts floating around. You may be able to be more hypnotized if you choose to direct those floaters on following and agreeing with the tist. I think you should try to make some thoughts and emotions happen, ideally related to the active trance. Even as subjects, we are active participants in this experience.

  • Maybe you are just not going deep enough. Do you feel any of the suggestive parts of the induction (eg body feeling heavy, waves of relaxation etc)? I have found a lot of suggestions were not working on me, but recently have had much more success mainly due to more practice going into trance and going down deeper, where I am a lot more zoned out of the surroundings and can barely feel my physical body anymore.

The other day my wife did a freeze trigger on me when we were drinking together and I was literally unable to lift my arm to drink my beer, I was truly trying my hardest to move and I couldn't. I'm sure if they can work on me they can work on you, it has taken a lot of work on my own part getting myself much more used to going deeply under so maybe focus on that for a while before expecting suggestions to stick.

Okay thank you! Maybe that is really the point that I am still not going deep enought.. I not really feel my body getting heavy, maybe a bit but not extremely noticeable. It's more like I am going pretty deep but over time. waves of relaxation also don't work.

  • People vary a lot on the suggestibility scale, they don't work on me either.
