The trailer for this movie was sick

  • US regulators approve Wegovy pill for weight loss

RFK Jr. is going to lose his shit.

  • US Debt is out of control, Inflation isn’t dropping
and Donald Trump wants to build a fleet of Yamato battleships?

They're the next attempt at next generation frigates after the FREMM program got cancelled, so this is more Trump slapping his branding on something that needs to happen regardless of president. The wording also indicates Trump's input is fairly light, like it can mean he provided notes on the published concept art--you usually don't see pre-contract artwork be an action shot.

  • Records in Texas AG Ken Paxton’s divorce case are unsealed

Laura Roach, one of Ken Paxton’s lawyers, said after the Friday hearing that the attorney general had always wanted the record to be unsealed.

“Mr. Paxton has always wanted us to actually unseal it,” she said. “Attorneys get on a path and we think that that’s the right way to go and we were finally able to get everybody on the same page.”

Bullshit. Not a single person believed that.

When asked why he initially opposed it so strongly, she added, “that’s just legal stuff.
 His attorneys said that.”

    Lmao

Trump is dying and he wanted vengeance and toys today.

  • I guess the silver lining that Bari Weiss has terrible politics but is also incompetent. Made it too obvious about what she's attempting to do

  • I took my parents out to an extremely nice dinner served family style.

We had the option for three appetizers for which we chose their deviled eggs (Tamago and crispy pork belly, whitefish and everything bagel, and spicy tuna/roe/horseradish) maple glazed roasted carrots, and lamb tartare with mustard cream.

Our two mains were prime rib with mushrooms, roasted carrots/turnips, and a black trumpet sauce and a crown lamb roast with a pistachio honey crust and roasted potatoes.

The centerpiece was a bouche de noelle complete with merange mushrooms, truffle dirt, and moss like pistachio ice-cream. Honestly it was one of the best restaurant meals I've eaten all year and it something that makes my wife check Madison real-estate listings.

  • Has Doug Burgum done anything useful as Interior Secretary?

Last I remembered, he was supposedly an moderate affable grandpa and the best choice out of the 2024 losers, even a potential 2028 candidate, at least as a running mate for Vance. Now he's promoting Gulf of America like every other MAGA stooge coward.

It's not like Interior Secretary is a big role where you get to do cool shit anyway. It was never a ramp to the presidency. Who ever said "tremble in awe of the fucking Interior Secretary"?

  • I thought Walmart would have hired me before Christmas. Like they could have used as many hands as possible. But my application is still floating around "under review".

I don't know what retail is like now, but decades ago when I worked at a department store in high school, after the post-Thanksgiving weekend was over, it was just kind of steady until the next biggest 'rush', which was the two weeks of dealing with post-Christmas returns.

I applied for OGP. Those who shop for the people who order online.

Ah, yeah, I have no idea how the back end of that works as far as regular versus seasonal hiring.

Even if online shopping had been a thing when I worked retail (it wasn't. I'm that old. 👮), that would have been above my pay grade.

  • Chiefs owner straight up executed his family legacy today lol, his dad fr said he loved Arrowhead and Clark was like “But what if we could have one of those smaller dome stadiums everyone else has?”

Yep. I don’t care what state the stadium is in. If Arrowhead was in KS I’d be pissed it was moving. They’re killing 50 years of culture for maybe 1 super bowl and fat cat fans. Good luck filling the stadium once Patrick retires and we suck again. That would be year 15 for him, and I don’t think he is a 20 year player and that is being generous. A fucking dome. It is a bad bad day for the franchise. Anyway, you’re from one of the Carolinas right? How did you become a fan? Was it family, the color red? By the time I’m in my 60s or 70s Clark’s failson is going to pit KS and MO against one another to get another new stadium or they’ll relocate. I hate the Broncos but at least they are paying for their new stadium.

Family but also I’m a big fan of small market teams, and what’s smaller than KC, Missouri. I could see Pat being a 20 year player, if they actually get him the resources to transition from his current mindset where he puts himself on the line for wins. Clark Hunt won’t even buy them modern meeting rooms tho so lol

  • So I guess CBS is no longer reporting on anything unless like white house comments on it? Brilliant journalism.

I feel terrible for the real journalists at CBS who have to watch as an arsonist invited by their boss torches their reputation.

  • President Trump announced on Monday that the Navy would build two new “Trump Class” battleships, with the eventual goal of acquiring 25. The announcement by Mr. Trump was the latest example of the president rebranding an aspect of the federal government in his image. The Navy secretary, John Phelan, called the vessels “just one piece of the president’s golden fleet that we’re going to build.”

This basically breaks all of the Navy's modern history where a class takes the name of its lead ship (e.g. Iowa Class). Also battleships are named after states. Also if he did nothing he probably would have gotten an aircraft carrier named after him at some point. Also fuck this is just another stupid little thing that will drive me crazy until he does the next stupid little thing.

If they actually manage to lay down one keel before the whole thing is cancelled by Congress, they’ll have to rename it the USS [Redacted]

Yeah, no way they both design it and lay keep before he croaks.

It does come across as tremendously half assed to call it the Trump class but not dare to go all the way and name it USS Trump, but I wonder if it's because everyone knows he's gonna drop sooner than later, and the other goons in the admin think it's going to be easier to ram through a rename to USS Trump once he's dead. Well, it was Republican partisans who succeeded in their campaign to name the USS Reagan while Reagan was still alive after all, what's a few more conventions to break?

  • Ah the coin flip of the youtube algorithm. Is it a fun video detailing niche information in an educational or entertaining way, or is it a fun concept ruined by an asshole who uses algo speak to avoid using words like "kill" while happily flinging slurs?

  • NBA basically cut cable outta the rotation đŸ€ŠđŸœâ€â™‚ïž

Adam Silver must be dealt with

  • When I hear about GRINDR going down for events like TPUSA I have to ask, are men going to these conservative conventions just to get a weekend to cheat on their wife with another man?

I get the impression that TPUSA has always been the conservative event for people who wanted to fuck around in un-conservative ways (gay and otherwise).

You'd think they'd have figured out their scaling issues for the events by now, but maybe they decided the free publicity of it crashing at every Republican event is too good to pass up

I kinda think this is a myth

FWIW, I used to check Craigslist M4M ads in cities where conservative conferences were held, and I would see a lot of posts from guys there.

I have to admit that sometimes I wonder about it since the story repeated so much.

I get the feeling it happened once or twice but stopped being true after that. From a business perspective if you know a demand surge is coming you prepare for it.

  • Too bad this couldn’t have happened years ago.

(Not that I think Pence is any kind of person to look up to, but fracturing of the Heritage Foundation is certainly a good thing.)

  • I'm watching the stuff Weiss pulled and this is just so awful and unforgivable

People need to know this, reposting a link, and know these inhuman abuses that are happening. Spiking this is such a damning condemnation of her

  • She likes killing puppies, how surprised can we be that piece of shit likes shipping off 2.5 million people to concentration camps?

Based on her actions, she's probably wetter'n Niagara Falls when she should be in prison

  • Javice was convicted of defrauding the bank when she sold her educational startup, Frank, for $175 million to JPMorgan in 2021. But in a twist, the bank has been picking up the legal bills for Javice and Olivier Amar, another executive, because of a clause in that deal that said JPMorgan would shoulder all associated costs in the event of a dispute.

This chick probably my favorite fraudster of the decade. How she has pulled this off is unbelievable. If she gets off she might be the 🐐

  • How do thr Niners give up a touchdown to a Phillip Rivers led offense

    Its not 2008

    Unc still got it

If anything this is an indictment on modern QB development when a geriatric Philip Rivers can still come in and do better than some starting QBs.

  • Wait they fired the teaching assistant at University of Oklahoma who graded that insane essay??? tf

From what I’ve read the real issue is that the instructor had a posted rubric and the paper, while bad, did meet conditions for the rubric. For that reason a failing grade was reasonable but a 0 was not (trust me, a 0, 30, 50, and 65 all give you very different results). I’m not saying this decision was right, but if the instructor was giving other similarly poor essays a 30 but this one a 0 there is a legitimate grievance there. This isn’t a defence of the paper, but once you release a rubric you’re pretty much married to it in regards to grading.

I don't want anything more than seeing TPUSA go defunct. Under Charlie they ruined lives, and they still are even without Charlie. They are fundamentally evil.

that was expected once the story got viral

Making the story viral was the plan from the start.

  • So far, there's the Trump Institute of Peace, the Trump-Kennedy Center, Trump-Class of warship, Trump $1 coins, and Trump Savings Accounts.

Bills in Congress: Trump on the $250 bill, Trump Airport (Dulles), Trump on Mt. Rushmore, and a yearly Trump Peace Prize.

    Joe Biden was old though

He’ll be damned if the Redskins Stadium Commanders Stadium isn’t named after him

mount rushmore is a stretch as there's no room for another face

  • Brown Faces Trump Investigation Over Security Issues Following Shooting. The Department of Education is looking at whether security at Brown University, including its surveillance system, was up to standard.

Republican Commandment #1: Find anything and everything to blame for a shooting that isn't the guns.

  • The stock buyback ban Trump proposed is an objectively good idea, but Trump's record of actually following through on good ideas is basically only the covid vaccine push so I'm not holding my breath

and even then, it took Trump many months of denying how impactful COVID was before he actually pushed on the vaccine.

Yeah it’s about .007% he follows thru. I don’t even think he proposed it— he just assumes the words that come out of his mouth are binding royal decrees. My thing is just —- there has been heavy pushback from businesses on pure rhetoric from Biden/Obama/Kamala/etc; which is what pisses me off about these hypocrites.

Michael dell donated 6 billion dollars like a snap of finger but im sure he pays someone to avoid paying higher taxes etc

  • So alls we got from the 4:30pm event was the announcement of new Epstein-class warship?

I honestly think he is dying and these are early Christmas presents to salve his own fears about his impending mortality.

    Your lips, to god’s ears.

The explicit Vance endorsements this weekend would be oddly early, unless one expected him to be forced into the role soon...

  • OMG he actually attacked the biggest no-no according to all free market capitalists who hate on the Democratic Party

They ain’t going to say đŸ’© to him either đŸ€ŠđŸœâ€â™‚ïž

“We’ll be discussing the pay to executives, where they’re making $45 and $50 million a year and not being able to build quickly,” Trump said. “They’re going to make that kind of money, they have to build quickly.”

Obama called bankers, right after they blew up the world’s economy, them fat cats — and no exaggeration — Blackstone’s CEO literally compared him to Hitler.

“We have many people [who] want the F-35 fighter jet, and it takes too long to deliver them to allies or to ourselves,” Trump said. “The only way they’re going to be able to deliver them is if they build new plants. They don’t want to build new plants because it’s expensive.”

Trump’s comments come as the Pentagon is in tense conversations with Lockheed Martin and RTX over the investments in new factory space and machinery needed to surge missile production rates, an issue that has been front and center amid large U.S. weapon transfers to Ukraine. The military still lacks the multiyear funding to fully meet its production targets, prompting some officials to ask defense contractors to add more capacity on spec ahead of actual orders.

“This seems to be an overreach, and, in our view, the contractors don’t need to be regulated given contract structure and clearer demand signals self-regulate investments,” analysts from investment bank Jefferies’ wrote in a note to investors last week amid reports that an executive order was in the works.

This is endlessly frustrating / deflating x1000 how far he has gone in terms of norms and standards and although I love some of the candidates; I really don’t see or expect the broadest boldness of vision to arise.

Oh my; writing and reading this at the same time. Did not expect this to pop up lol

Officials from both political parties have criticized companies that buy back shares after collecting massive federal contracts. The Biden administration’s 2022 Chips Act limited grant recipients’ ability to repurchase shares, and several Democratic lawmakers have targeted defense contractors for what they call war profiteering.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.), who has long pushed to limit companies from repurchasing stocks and giving their executives high salaries, last week offered to work with the Trump administration on this issue.

“Contractors should be prioritizing investments in research, development, and their workforce to help strengthen America’s innovation. Shortfalls in defense contractors’ workforce increase delays and spending for DoD,” Warren wrote with Rep. Chris Deluzio (D., Pa.) in a Dec. 16 letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

A ban on buybacks could push investors away from publicly traded companies and toward venture-backed tech startups, said Richard Aboulafia, managing director at AeroDynamic Advisory.

“What it will affect is investor sentiment against legacy companies, which typically use buybacks and dividends to attract investors,” Aboulafia said.

Investor sentiment is a dangerous 2 word combination. Let too much 🐂 đŸ’© fly🛾 cuz of it

“We have many people [who] want the F-35 fighter jet, and it takes too long to deliver them to allies or to ourselves,”

So Bibi wants his new planes faster.

Him, nato, Taiwan and us— yeah. Prob more than just that tbh

Oh I know there are other customers, I'm just assuming that Netanyahu is the one most likely to be complaining about it to him.

Ohh yeah definitely. But I think some Congress members did too; including Warren, a new Republican senator who she worked on a military bill with, and another Democrat who served with the military that I’m blanking on; he wrote a joint letter with Warren to Scott Bessent

  • Paramount’s new, hostile offer to Warner Bros. Discovery: Larry Ellison will personally guarantee $40 billion

I know people don't love the term "nepo baby" but can anyone really argue David Ellison isn't a massive one?

I got two raises in seven years working for Oracle and he can personally guarantee $40 billion?

*I know that’s not how things work and I’ve moved on long ago

The Ellison are really desperate to get their grubby little hands on CNN to wreck it to please the unclothed emperor, huh?

  • “They want to buy back their stock—I don’t want them to buy back their stock,” Trump said, adding that he would make his case to top defense executives in Florida next week. “I want them to put the money in plants and equipment so they can build these planes fast.”

If Elizabeth warren said this, she’d be called a communist and a dozen CEOs would have the NYT op-ed page to themselves to express their grievances

    Wait what planes?

    F-35 stealth fighters

Mmmm love the F-35, hate whatever the hell Trump is doing

Israel has demonstrated that they are pretty god damn effective despite being a swiss army knife of a plane.

It's the third generation of American plane that's wound up doing that, and the second generation specifically designed with it in mind (USAF F-4 Phantom lineage -> F-16 -> F-35) so a lot of thought went into making it a very, very good Swiss Army Knife

  • KPRC: At least 4 dead after Mexican Navy plane on medical mission crashes in Texas. Eight people were on the plane, including two pilots, Galveston County Sheriff Jimmy Fullen told the affiliate. At least one pediatric burn patient was on board, sheriff’s officials told CNN affiliate KHOU.

    Horrific

  • Yanked "60 Minutes" episode aired in Canada

    Thank you Canada, very cool

  • Bari Weiss is complicit in torture.

  • If Democrats take back the House in 2026 they need to hold firm on the defense spending authorization bill. No vanity projects for Trump, restrict his ability to use military force without Congressional authorization, and (I know this isn’t the most important thing) no coming up with fake names for the DoD. Make it so that no appropriated funding can be used for anything but the legal name of the department and its agencies. Projects with an expenditure of more than $XX require approval from the Armed Services Committee.

The constitution gives Congress more power when it comes to the military than people think, to “Raise and support Armies”, to “Provide for and maintain a Navy”, and “To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces.”

They also need to explicitly give Congress the power to end the use of the military and National Guard domestically (“To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the laws of the Union, suppress insurrections, and repel invasions”). The Supreme Court can try to show how Congress exercising its enumerated powers is unconstitutional.

They also need to strip the president of the power to enact tariffs at will.

Congress is supposed to have a lot more power over a lot of aspects of the government, that’s why it’s the branch outlined in Article I, but particularly in the post WWII era it’s been ceding more and more of that power to the executive, and to a lesser extent the judiciary.

  • Imagine the GOP reaction if Biden named like military equipment after himself

  • JD Vance: "It pisses me off that Fuentes calls my kids ‘jeet,’ and I appreciate that Ro Khanna would never do that. You know what pisses me off a million times more? That Ro Khanna, AOC, and Chris Murphy would deny them jobs and opportunities because they have the wrong skin color.”

My jaw dropped...how is this a real quote by the Vice President? It's so outrageous

You know who else would deny your kids jobs? Fuentes.

  • I think I managed to turn a fuckup back into a friendship by being honest with someone. This is a pretty good day.

Nah just pretend like nothing is wrong and drift apart.

I do pick and choose my morals and beliefs like a buffet table, but: "make direct amends, except when doing so would harm them or others" is one I attempt to practice

  • I feel like Nolan is taking the "batman the animated series" approach to what time period this is set in. A bit classical Greek, a bit archaic, a bit roman.

Which even though the story takes place in the archaic period, does make sense. The ancient greeks themselves more or less saw the story as set more "in the past" than specifically in the late bronze age. And probably wouldn't have cared if someone dramatized the odyssey with contemporary armor. In the end it's not a historical picture.

By the nitpickers' logic, every Shakespeare adaptation not taking place at the time and place Shakespeare wrote of is automatically bad

My personal preferred interpretation of the Odyssey is Carol Thomas' (wrote Citadel to City State, former professor of mine, pretty cool).

Anyway, it's probably a mythical retelling of 1177, based on an eclipse mentioned in the poem and the coming of the enigmatic 'Sea Peoples'. The monsters are mythical representations of a collapsing society and a guy trying to get home from the (also mythical) Trojan War

I feel it's not the best fit for what Nolan tries to direct but we shall see. I do like all of his movies except Tenet so Nolan has certainly more than earned the benefit of the doubt.

  • A federal judge on Monday said the U.S. government denied due process to the Venezuelan men it deported to a prison in El Salvador in March after President Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act.

The case over the Alien Enemies Act first brought into focus critiques about the Trump administration's lack of due process in its immigration policy.

  • Okay I am nerding out pretty goddamn hard over this. Supposedly some private company has been researching using audio to map out visual space to help blind people 'see' since the 90s. Here is their site. They even have a web app that runs on your phone and uses the camera to generate audio, and if you are qearing headphones you can hear it. It almost seems like they are taking and fft of the pixels vertically and scanning across them from left to right? Ninja: looks like the way they encode the data is on a height/brightness scale, corresponding to pitch and loudness, as it scans from left to right in the image.

Supposedly with practice you can actually learn to interpret the noise it generates. Which is absolutely bonkers. It just sounds like a screaching garbled mess to me. But they even have instructions on hoe to practice locating and picking up objects using just the sound without sight.

Its just so cool. I have no idea if its practical or not, but its so elegantly simple.

  • I didn't care much for the original Anaconda movie. It's kind of weird they're rebooting it this week

It’s not a reboot. It’s a comedy about trying to make a reboot.

  • Now there is a movie I havent seen in a very long time.

I consider myself an expert DIYer (meaning I guarantee I can at least help you fuck it up more) so if you wanna do some troubleshooting lemme know

  • Culturally the PiS/Konfederajia/whoever else sucks bloc has been like that since even before PiS got thrown out. Sure they're nominally anti-Russian, but they're still hideously racist against Ukrainians and nearly everyone else

  • President Donald Trump sparked a wave of anger in Colorado over the weekend when he denied federal disaster assistance to help with recovery from the state’s fifth-largest fire and widespread flooding from earlier in the fall.

“Coloradans impacted by the Elk and Lee fires and the flooding in Southwestern Colorado deserve better than the political games President Trump is playing,” Colorado Governor Jared Polis (D) said in the statement after Trump denied aid on Saturday night.

“I call on the President’s better angels, and urge him to reconsider these requests. This is about the Coloradans who need this support, and we won’t stop fighting for them to get what they deserve. Colorado will be appealing this decision,” he added.

    Completely disgusting

  • So it was literal battleships

  • The top comment in the r/videos thread on the subject is a link to Limewire, because YT has already pulled the video down.

I’ve seen the video posted on a few subreddits

  • The base really wants to see Obama, Hillary, Biden, Harris, etc all locked up. They see Bondi as a roadblock to that happening Swipe enough on TikTok and you’ll find the posts lol. The craziest even want someone like Sidney Powell

  • WaPo named Indiana their "State of the Year".

i guess being the leading RV manufacturer paid off

  • why you blame communism for someone dying in a communist country but if someone dies from poverty or lack of healtcare it's not capitalisms fault

So you admit that communism fails in its basic goal of making lives better for people who suffer under capitalism. Why would people join a revolution if once it'll take over they'll get killed by the system for a different reason

    I can blame both.

None of these people would last a day under actual Communism anyhow.

  • The NFL is suspending Steelers WR DK Metcalf two games without pay for physically confronting a Lions fan during Sunday’s win at Detroit, per sources.

So the Ravens playoff chances go from 5% to 15%. And the Steelers' playoff chances go from 95% to 85%

  • Come on, we are better than this. The Clinton's have been calling for the release of the Epstein files the whole time and so far a lot of exonerating evidence has come out that Bill did nothing wrong.

Ok but this is funnier to say

He said I’m losing? Nah WE losing

You're all going down with me

  • So help me God if these chestnuts were roasted on a closed fire i will lose my fucking mind

There’s open fire, closed fire, and also fire caucuses that we should do away with

  • Trump on Epstein Island: I never went there, fortunately. It's nice, but I never went there.

His answers on this are so bad lol

Normally the “I wasn’t there, I’ve only heard” goes after the Freudian slip where you basically admit to visiting a pedo’s private island.

But I guess when your brain has the consistency of mashed potatoes, anything goes.

The emails between Wolff and Epstein definitely sound like he knew everything and may have went to the island. I never really thought he went there but those emails are hard to explain away.

The conspiracy minded people should be all over this after they baked hotdog emails into Pizzagate.

Maybe deep down he’s embarrassed that he didn’t have enough money or importance to be one of Epstein’s targets

This cannot be a fucking real answer lmaooooooooooo

  • Last month, Tesla confirmed the fleet had traveled roughly 250,000 miles. With 7 reported crashes at the time, Tesla’s Robotaxi was crashing roughly once every 40,000 miles (extrapolating from the previously disclosed Robotaxi mileage). For comparison, the average human driver in the US crashes about once every 500,000 miles. This means Tesla’s “autonomous” vehicle, which is supposed to be the future of safety, is crashing 10x more often than a human driver.

If anyone is curious, Waymo hardcodes and continuously updates the state of roads in their cars. This works better but it won’t scale well, creating and maintaining that knowledge takes a lot of effort.

Tesla is trying to make their cars work more like a human, they don’t have much preexisting knowledge of the roads it drives on which allows them to be a lot more flexible, presumably they could go into any new situation and drive without needing to be preconfigured. It just doesn’t seem to be working very well.

I feel like there's a pretty obvious engineering culture issue at Tesla that is just going to keep them from executing well regardless of whether the approach is otherwise sound, and it's going to continue to be a problem as long as Elon is involved.

If you gave me a dozen guesses, I never would have guessed that the average is one crash out of 500k miles.

Average time between accidents is 8-10 years.

That would imply people put 50k miles a year on their vehicles right? 500kmiles/10 years? Thats alnost 140 miles per day.

I grew up in bumfuck Iowa where the nearest grocery store was a half hour drive on highways, and still didnt hit that mark.

Think the average gets skewed by truckers

That looking at two different statistics: accidents per total miles driven vs. time between accidents per driver.

  • Whoever leaked it is an inspiration

  • Lmao Trump defended Bill Clinton just now in regards to Epstein

He just undermines whatever his right wing asshole allies try to do. Stefanik with Mamdani and now this

Stefanik may have been a loyal soldier but she was never an ally. At best she was a tool.

That’s her mistake, made freely. No one made her sell her soul to be trumps attack dog

She should have stuck to her guns and stayed anti-Trump. She might have been on the outs for a while, but it would've been a smarter long-run play.

They honestly should hate him because he undermines them constantly.

  • So technically wouldn't Daniel Craig be the first American James Bond?

  • Trump: I have sold more planes than any president by far, times probably 20. Every time I go someplace, I sell 100 planes. That includes commercial planes but it also includes fighter jets

This man is less coherent than me after a fifth of absinthe, when do we do the 25th?

  • Finished Dispatch (officially season 1)

Was good, the people saying you can’t not romance someone are just bad at boundaries

  • Somebody pointed out earlier but holy shit it really does seem as though Charlie Kirk served as a key unifying figure in the GOP. I did not realize that at all.

I don't know if it was "unifying" or if he just monopolized an ecological niche in a way that tamped down competition.

I'm having a bit of trouble understanding your comment.

Do you mean Charlie Kirk when he was alive unified the GOP? Or his death helped unify the GOP?

It’s fascinating because I like you never would have guessed that Charlie goddamn Kirk kept a lot of them unified.

Means that a lot of the infighting on the right was under wraps while Charlie was still alive. Apparently he was beloved by GOP rank and file. I don’t get it all tbh.

Me either. He was just an online shock jock

I think a lot of it is that there are a whole bunch of people who think they should be the one to take Kirk's place in the pecking order, and they're all fighting for themselves against the rest.

    That makes sense to me.

Full throat MAGA got to be pissed because they liked what he said.

Shy MAGA got to be pissed because they can frame it as an attack on free speech.

    He's a very convenient martyr.

I wonder if he actually held the GOP together, or if his death was like a tiny rock hitting a window just right to shatter it.

ah gotcha. Now that you clarified, it does make a lot of sense.

Yeah a lot of their internal divisions are on display and I imagine it will flare up even more when Trump goes.

    Made them collectively forget 9/11

Yep pretty impressive that Charlie Wessel did that.

Seems that way. I don’t get it.
