Na. Don't worry. SpaceX will get the money for this from xAI, who'll buy up starlink capacity. xAI will get the money for that from X/twitter, who'll buy up AI capacity. X will get the money for that from Tesla, who'll buy up a bunch of ad space. And Tesla will get the money for that from SpaceX buying pointless cybertrucks, thus completing the totally sustainable cycle.
That’s not fair I am sure their is a bunch of Russian money in their somewhere as they need spaceX to keep shutting off satellite service to protect their battleships from Ukraine.
$40k per vehicle per the commercial vehicle tax credit that is set to expire this year (broad strokes, but that is the gist).
So yeah, $40,000,000 in tax payer money spent to subsidize a vehicle the market wholesale rejected using a well-intentioned green energy initiative that Elon himself helped make undone.
Unless they are being billed to some governmafia contract somewhere, SpaceX investors should be furious about their money being wasted on this overpriced crap that they don't need. Otherwise taxpayers should be pissed. Either way someone is getting reamed.
Yes, Enron did this to make it look like they were making money. Since fElon is in charge of both companies it should be investigated by the SEC but with the current government it won't be.
Don't worry! Elon will find a way to give these shitty trucks to his employees in lieu of wages. Or, should I say, 'force his employees to take them'...

Reminds me of the Paddy's dollars self-sustaining economy.
Glad I wasn’t the only one thinking this
A man of culture
Human Centipede: a new theory of business

Most wonderful part of it all is that everyone is now at it, implicating Nvidia, Oracle and Microsoft.
The market is speaking (corruptly)
What do we want?
Tax credits and subsidies for poor billionaires!
When do we want it?
Always!
Grifters gonna grift, how much of that money do you think comes from government subsidies? Anyways just another day in America.
Probably all of it
That’s not fair I am sure their is a bunch of Russian money in their somewhere as they need spaceX to keep shutting off satellite service to protect their battleships from Ukraine.
They didn’t say which government.
Probably a little Saudi money too
Chinese money I'm sure too to keep sabotaging NASA.
Why would China bother trying to sabotage it, the American government been doing that for years.
Looking into this.
He’s also selling all of data either through Twitter or Tesla which is why revenue is still up
DOGE? More like RIGGING THE SYSTEM SO THAT MY SHITTY COMPANIES CAN BE SUSTAINED SO I CAN KEEP MY PROPAGANDA MACHINE.

A modern ourobouros
Elon as his own human centipede
You get a reluctant upvote.
Except that there’s a battery attached that’s tax money…
Thefatrat did it better

The Elon version sucks
Shhhh! You might give him ideas. I can't wait for his perpetual motion machine.
The perfect analogy doesn't exi..........
I suppose it still counts as meeting sales targets when he buys his own cars.
General ledger trickery.
Here's hoping the house of cards falls.
Been doing it for at least 10 years now
Our US tax dollars are buying an unfathomable number of cyber trucks
nothing says successfull as much as having to buy your own cars with the money of your investors.
unwitting taxpayers
Isn't this basically considered cooking the books to defraud shareholders? Can a lawyer or someone more knowledgeable weigh in on this?
(to be clear, I consider Tesla shareholders to be utter morons who have it coming, but I cannot fathom how this is legal)

Shuffling around their debt load
The shell game.
Honestly, should read "Elon Musk(at Tesla) sells Cybertrucks(dumpsters) en mass to Elon Musk(at SpaceX)".
Robbing Peter to pay Paul and at the expense of taxpayers. Lovely.
Welcome to the shell game. Now they can try to bill them to NASA contracts.
Gaming rocks
Heh there was a glut of CTs on the road last year in the Bay Area. Now I see one maybe once a month

Tax payers money buying Khole cars. Outstanding
This is what Enron did to show they were making money.
So, we are buying a lot of Cybertrucks?
It’s this illegal. How is this different from Boeing Airlines buying planes from The Boeing Company before the government made them shut it all down.
Even one would be an unreasonable amount
Don't worry! Elon will find a way to give these shitty trucks to his employees in lieu of wages. Or, should I say, 'force his employees to take them'...
Sell to yourself and pay with government subsidies, since no one else is buying them.
You meant fElon takes taxpayer money to prop up fElon failing car company? I heard stainless steel scraping business isn't that lucrative.
Literally "as far as the eye can see"
Or "as far as the eye can see ass".
One of those.
I hear that there are so many remaining unsold that if you stack them end to end, you could climb your way to the moon.
Lemme guess, with taxpayer money?
"Sales hit record numbers" ah manuever
