Right so I was banned from asksocialists because my comment 'violated their rules' for context, the post was about criticism of China's foreign policy, and I said their support for Pol Pot and their invasion of Vietnam was bad. Like, how is that a violation of their rules?

  • asksocialists is literally a front for the ACP.

    And not in a "the members like the ACP" kind of way. But in a "the mods are members of the ACP and its expressed purpose is to advertize the ACP" kind of way.

    They are about as close to actual national socialist (as in: calling yourself socialist but being a fascist) as you can get. Jackson Hinkle, the head of the ACP, has outwardly supported Trump, only critizing him on Israel, and described himself as a MAGA communist. He lives in Russia and basically agrees with every single opinion of the Kreml.

    How this sub doesn't break reddit's sitewide rules is honestly beyond me.

  • Yeah so here's the thing with authoritarians. There is no debate, only a single and unanimous Discourse where the self-proclaimed holders of truth see those who disagree as traitors or in any case obstacles to be fought or proscribed (not persuaded). The situation is therefore simplified since there is, in fact, no longer any politics.

    As a social democrat I absolutely can't stand most communists. They take things I agree with like workers' rights and building a society that values people over profit then bastardize it and make it so unmarketable for the rest of the population. They really don't understand how detrimental they are to making actual progress in society.
