Like, Putin isn't even communist, he hates communism, they just vouch for him and Russian imperialism because he hates the west, commies also claim to hate oligarchies even though Russia is literally one, a fascist, authoritarian oligarchy, also remember that former KGB agent and later FSB agent Alexander Litvinenko claimed Putin was a PEDOPHILE who molested young boys. This was in 2006, a few months later Litvinenko was killed by Putin through radiation poisoning
These people only exist online and their views are summed up as
"If it's bad for US I like it"
Their views probably barely makes sense to themselves. But that's okay, they won't make a difference or do anything with their lack of coherent thinking except shout in their online echo chambers.
That's the best part about chronically online people, they only exist online.
I don't know about the US, but here in Europe these people very much exist offline too.
Europe may be different due to the proximity to Russia and the scale of movement from country to country.
Here in the US though, these people have 0 political representation and 0 leverage/motivation to do any type of movement.
They just cope online and wish for things to happen.
Unfortunately, Russia has found ways to progress their goals through the GOP. Which does actually have power and should be of concern.
Half of them in the US came of recent just because they think that the dog lightning guy is hot
How bad?
They aren't communists, but the pro-russian socialist Linkspartei is with 25% the most popular party among Germans between 18 and 25.
They received 10% in the last federal election and together with other pro-russian party, the fascist AfD, they have enough seats to block constitutional changes that would oppose the interests of the Russian Federation.
I see.
I think I do know more than a few of these people in person where I live. The sad part is politicians are pandering to them too, and we're worse for the wear because of it.
I'm trying to leave where I live now. They keep burning things into the ground, can barely make good decisions in their personal lives, and double down on burning things into the next election.
Good luck to them when they don't have my income anymore to pay for services.
i deadass saw someone on r/asksocialists claim "Imperialism is a system of global financial hegemony enforced by US dollar hegemony and NATO.
Imperialism is not "big country attack small country"" and "Russia is anti-imperialist because they fight against the hegemonic financial system of the west." 😭
It's Lenin's dogshit definition. It's almost like he was looking for a definition which would make every country but his one, imperialist
There's a couple of problems with trying to even apply Lenin's definition of imperialism to now because export of capital was an important aspect of it, but if you take that and directly apply it to the world today then the U.S. would arguably be imperialized because it's a huge destination for investment. These guys just selectively quote him out of context I think and then claim he would agree with whatever crazy position they have. Also, recall that Lenin did view the Russian Empire as an imperialist power and a "prison house of nations," and was part of a fringe tendency that opposed the empire's role in the war while advocating turning it into a European-wide civil war between workers and capitalists to create a single world socialist repubic. (Although, of course, his actual policies after taking power were contradictory because he brought several breakaway republics back under Bolshevik control by force.)
If they really want to use Lenin's definition they will have to admit China is imperialist eventually
What's interesting about the Trotskyist groups (although I'm not a fan much of them either), they assert a more "Leninist" (or so they say) argument that China is part of exactly that because imperialism isn't, like, the foreign policy choice of particular bad states but more of a generalized stage in global capitalism that creates clashes between different power blocs.
It's not even technically Lenin's definition, it's a 'Whatever Russia does isn't imperialism, glory to Holy Russia One and Indivisible' logic.
Tankism has nothing to do with communism. It can be summed up in two words: “west bad”
And if West Bad, not-west must be good.
All communists are fascist, and most communists are pedophiles as well, so I dont really get why does this surprise you
Putin likes young boys?
No wonder the Kremlin goblin looks like an orc.
Yeah litvinenko accused him of it, but nothing is proven
There is a clip of him lifting a boys shirt and kissing him on the belly.

Some articles.

That happened in 2006.
2007 he had all the shirtless outdoors man photos taken.
2013 he had the gay propaganda law passed.
Everyone keeps forgetting that he kissed a little boy on the stomach and even russians thought that was weird.
Still. Russia hasn’t changed much in the past few centuries, it’s just the same clown switching costumes, be it tsardom, imperialism, communism or whatever they’re doing now
Literally Cold War inertia and a refusal to update their priors. They really forget that the culture of pre-1917 Russia was Iran for Jesus and that Russia's main historical roles were genocidal conquest and being a backstop for the worst bits of human nature on a right wing view. They can only see an imagined Hollywoodized version of Stalinism that never existed, either.
Putin doesn’t hate communism heck h even has communist Allie’s like North Korea
I would say that while Putin misses Soviet power and stability, he probably doesn't miss all that uptight austere Marxist Leninist ideology. Nobody even really believed in it back in the day. It was just something that you went along with either to survive, or to get special privileges if you were a member of the party.
the same stability that lead to its collapse? I hope he can achieve this
North Korea has its own ideology today.
Not really
