Since 2 years,I have been learning English but Right now I am not reached the B2 level I don't know Why? My approach to learn the English is very Simple read write speak and listen. But now seems it not so much effective for me because When I read the advanced English context it's Harder for me to understand what is the written and when I write I can't know how to self correct my mistakes. So how I improve the quality of my English language skills? Or What is the free resources Can help to improve my English skills.

  • You're still making some common and basic mistakes: - Since 2 years... - My approaching to learn the English... - it's harder for me to learn what is the written...

May you could benefit from some coaching or classroom work.

    Would you mind correcting these??

    • For two years...
    • My approach to learning English...
    • ?? I can't really make sense of it.
  • It sounds like you’re doing a good job. Maybe you need to find an English show to watch with subtitles and help you work on the advanced/context-heavy aspects.

Exactly what I was planning to write :) Thats how I started, Friends and Brooklyn99 are my all time favourites!

  • This is very normal at the B1 to B2 stage, even if it feels discouraging.

One thing most people never try is reading less but reusing more. Instead of constantly moving to new texts, take one hard article or post and come back to it several times. The first time just understand the idea. Later, focus only on how the sentences are built. That repetition is what actually pushes you forward.

Another thing people don’t talk about is that self correction is almost impossible at this level. You can’t fix what you don’t notice. A better trick is to rewrite the same idea a few days later and then compare it with how natives write about the same topic. The differences teach you more than grammar rules.

Also, stop trying to improve everything at once. Pick one weak skill and work on it for a couple of weeks. Going deep works better than doing a little of everything.

At B2, progress feels slow because you’re polishing, not collecting new English. That feeling usually means you’re closer than you think.
