I was tempted to ask the guy where they get all those cuz it looks like they’re donated, it was for some charity I think. There were several different Confederate ones and a bunch of Iron Cross ones. But didn’t wanna get into something on my lunch break lol.
I didnt even see what it was called I just followed my coworker down the road and pulled in hungry af. Definitely seemed like donated biker stuff on that table tho. All I remember is they had something called the “Jason Blaine Burger” lol and it was across the road from an Ultramar.
I live in small town Ontario and I was getting my wife a tea today in a McDong's drive thru and a guy drove by me with a Totenkopf skull on his fucking grille. I couldn't fuckin believe it.
I just realized now that I might have been mishearing things. My friends and I all say either Don's or McDons, but they might have been saying McDongs instead.
Gonna be honest, I read this as “black-letter carrier” and I had to google what that meant thinking maybe it meant like you deliver foreclosure notices or something.
As somebody who grew up there... I'm not sure if I should apologize for the place being the way that it is... Or sarcastically ask what you were expecting.
You'll notice a lot of people there have stickers on their cars all proud of the Caillou Convoy - but I can gaurantee you absolutely none of them went anywhere near Ottawa when it happened.
lol. I never knew anything about the place but my wife would always make jokes. It was just a small town nearby. Then I worked there for a year…..lol.
Overall had a pleasant time with town folk. Few knuckleheads but that’s to be expected.
Some people were very aggressive and rude but you could tell they were conflicted. I could tell they felt uncomfortable with me but I was also the mailman and it could never go anywhere beyond that. I was only there to deliver the mail. We weren’t gonna fight or have words.
The East end of town was a lot worse.
Real backwoods, redneck feel. The west part and closer to the mall was a more suburban and didn’t feel too differently from Ottawa. Some wealth and a little bit of culture.
Yeah... And the closer you get to the tracks, the more mixed it becomes.
The north west corner, closer to the hospital, is where you'll find some of the nicest people in town, and also some of the most fucked up people, plus most of the dealers and the narcs for the Town Clowns
Saw a guy at my supermarket a few years back with MAGA and F*CK TRUDEAU flags on his truck. He was a dorky-as-fuck looking incel, and the best part is the people in front of him at the checkout were mocking his stupid truck without realising he was standing behind them. I was standing behind him and he just stood there looking awkward.
I got those vibes while taking a long road trip through Southwestern Ontario this past spring. I couldn't believe the number of purple PPC signs on the sides of county roads and on farm properties. It's almost as though they're lesser educated on real world matters! (Rolls eyes, sarcastically)
I'm way down south, in Windsor. I drove up to Port Dover (not for motorcycle nonsense, just for fun). There were probably hundreds, definitely dozens and dozens of them along county roads. I only counted a handful of Cons signs, and nothing else beyond those.
YES! I similarly make comments whenever my dad and I are out at flea markets and he brings up how he wants to find a General Lee toy car as seen on Dukes of Hazzard. He specifically wants one with the flag still printed on the roof. He's passed on at least a dozen for not having it.
Okay but... And I can't believe I'm about to say this about the fucking Confederates, to be fair, telling the US to fuck right off is like, the one thing we have in common.
Didn’t a lot of people in (what would become) Canada actually support the Confederates during the civil war, letting them use it as a base of operations to conduct espionage and raids on northern cities?
Saw both these items for sale next to each other at a burger place near Perth, Ontario lmao.
I was going to guess Huron County, ON lol
This hit me in the feels. I'm in Bruce County.
Definitely.
Eh, those places generally don't give a shit either way, they just want your money.
Elvis's manager used to sell "I hate Elvis" buttons.
Capitalism, baby!
I was tempted to ask the guy where they get all those cuz it looks like they’re donated, it was for some charity I think. There were several different Confederate ones and a bunch of Iron Cross ones. But didn’t wanna get into something on my lunch break lol.
Proud boys leader Enrique Torres has a business where he sells Black Lives Matter Tshirts
Was it the biker place with all the flags? Or are there just multiple places like these around the area
I didnt even see what it was called I just followed my coworker down the road and pulled in hungry af. Definitely seemed like donated biker stuff on that table tho. All I remember is they had something called the “Jason Blaine Burger” lol and it was across the road from an Ultramar.
Law and order. :)
They mean well but they are all over the place, mentally
Ya the guy we ordered from seemed very nice and explained who Jason Blaine was to my coworker cuz we don’t listen to country music lol.
Ahhh Law & Orders
All the best and brightest really do congregate around Highway 7
I live in Perth 😬
I’m in Lanark County too. Trying to dislodge Conservatives that have been here longer than most people have been alive.
Haldimand would have been my guess.
Of course it was fucking Perth.
Glad to know nothing's changed since my high school days. /s
Made in China?
The town or the county? They're about five hours drive apart, and either is a likely candidate to find garbage like that.
Neither it's a spot between Perth and Ottawa. There's a button of cheap novelty belt buckles on the table, all the kind you'd find at a fair
I live in small town Ontario and I was getting my wife a tea today in a McDong's drive thru and a guy drove by me with a Totenkopf skull on his fucking grille. I couldn't fuckin believe it.
There was a whole bunch of Iron Cross buckles there too lol
Gross.
Yep, and it's nothing new for the boonies.
Yeah. Recently saw a jeep with a Confederate flag and "FAFO" decals.
He was not a competent driver.
To be fair, it's not wrong
The Confederacy did fuck around and find out, thanks to Ulysses S. Grant and William Tecumseh Sherman
They just needed to find out a bit more...
Unrelated: I’ve never heard McDong’s before. McDick’s, McDank’s, never McDong’s though
I hope you're alright with that 😆
I just realized now that I might have been mishearing things. My friends and I all say either Don's or McDons, but they might have been saying McDongs instead.
Vandalizing a car that has a Totenkopf skull is a moral act.
It's a public service - you were cleaning up garbage left on the street
Black Letter Carrier here. 🙋🏾♂️📨
Saw a guy with a Confederate flag license plate in Smith Falls while I was delivering.
I just looked at the guy as he drove away like “huh?!? You could tell he was uneasy but smug all at the same time. It was weird.
Like he finally got a chance to be racially edgy and it was underwhelming for both of us…..
Gonna be honest, I read this as “black-letter carrier” and I had to google what that meant thinking maybe it meant like you deliver foreclosure notices or something.
Now I get it lol
😂😂😂
“Afro-Caribbean….Mail Man….”
Of course it was in Smith's Falls. It's not the asshole of the Ottawa Valley the way Renfrew is, but it's definitely one of the armpits
In between the toes….it’s Toe Jam…
Toe Jam Falls….
I just moved here two years ago and yeah. That tracks. Trying to get people from Lanark county to come out to NDP event is like pulling teeth.
Wait
... I had to reread this part because I wondered were you talking about the letters being black or whether you're black. That reaction tho

Saw a M🍁GA hat in the wild around home today. Took me a lot of self control to not chirp the fuck out of the guy in the middle of a grocery store.
Like why wear your political identity out and about
Saw a guy at my supermarket a few years back with MAGA and F*CK TRUDEAU flags on his truck. Because it’s their whole identity
It justifies their victim complex when people call them out over it.
Technically these things aren't mutually exclusive...
Should probably leak these images to journalists and name and shame the business that is selling racist merchandise.
The Calgary Stampede didn’t stop selling confederate merchandise until a story ran in the local daily newspaper about it.
They aren’t a real “business”.
These are like carnival folk selling rip off redbull hoodies.
I got those vibes while taking a long road trip through Southwestern Ontario this past spring. I couldn't believe the number of purple PPC signs on the sides of county roads and on farm properties. It's almost as though they're lesser educated on real world matters! (Rolls eyes, sarcastically)
Bless their hearts!
You know... I see the PPC signs... But then I look at the actual numbers for my riding and it's like none of the bumpkins actually voted
I used to live in Southwestern Ontario for a bit. Only place I’ve ever seen PPC signs other than this one house I always see them at in Bancroft lol.
I'm way down south, in Windsor. I drove up to Port Dover (not for motorcycle nonsense, just for fun). There were probably hundreds, definitely dozens and dozens of them along county roads. I only counted a handful of Cons signs, and nothing else beyond those.
My rural FIL put a Confederate flag on his truck a couple of years ago and we teased him so hard for choosing the losers he took it off
YES! I similarly make comments whenever my dad and I are out at flea markets and he brings up how he wants to find a General Lee toy car as seen on Dukes of Hazzard. He specifically wants one with the flag still printed on the roof. He's passed on at least a dozen for not having it.
You should have played Union Dixie on full blast then and there
… why the fuck is the confederate flag being adorned in Canada? This is so weird for me as an American.
They think it makes them look edgy
there are some folk up here who desperately want to be americans
They rhyme with “Shalbertans”
Well you have to admit the Confederate States didn't want to be part of the United States either.
It reminds me of Trailer Park Boys, Ray's wheelchair having the cconfederate flag on it along with the Canadian one.
Okay but... And I can't believe I'm about to say this about the fucking Confederates, to be fair, telling the US to fuck right off is like, the one thing we have in common.
*shudders* I'm all contaminated, now :(
Didn’t a lot of people in (what would become) Canada actually support the Confederates during the civil war, letting them use it as a base of operations to conduct espionage and raids on northern cities?
Rural Ontario is the shits
Lol, can confirm. From Kawartha Lakes.
The kinda shit you see in Port Dover with all the Friday the 13th and biker merch stores, along with other heinous and bigoted patches and vests.
They may be racists, but they’re CANADIAN racists!
I'm surprised these aren't banned.
Doesn't Canada have laws against this sort of thing?
It’s called FREE SPEECH
Free speech shouldn't have a provision for extremism. That's partly why we're in the situation we are down here
But then the government can claim anything is extremism, and use that to silence any speech they don’t like.
Are you familiar with the paradox of tolerance?
Good old Orillia
“Southern heritage” or something. “Province’s rights”?
Did they confuse Confederation with Confederacy or something? I see these dummies out here in rural BC as well
You can't get less South than Canada. What a dweeb.
