Hello EDCx, 

We need to make a serious announcement regarding Reddit’s recent update to their Terms of Service and how it impacts our community and similar communities, like r/Knife_Swap. Effective immediately, Reddit has banned the user-to-user sale and trade of firearm “accessories and enhancements.” This resulted in the ban of popular subreddits like r/GunAccessoriesForSale and a half dozen other similar subs.

To comply with this new policy and protect the life of r/EDCExchange, we wish to make it crystal clear that we do not allow firearm accessories and enhancements.

❌ What’s Not Allowed:

Any and all firearm accessories/parts/related items are now prohibited.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Holsters
  • Gun-specific cases, pouches, etc.
  • Slings
  • Scopes, red dots, or optics
  • Flashlights with a factory design or intent to mount to a firearm
  • Bayonets
  • Grips, bipods, or stabilizers
  • Rails, stocks, or any mounting hardware
  • Muzzle devices, charging handles, triggers, etc. 

⚠️ Gray Areas & Moderator Discretion:

We recognize that some items may fall into a gray area under these new terms.

Please understand: The Mod Team has full discretion to remove any listings or comments that we feel may violate this rule.

There will be no warnings, exceptions or negotiations. If you're at all unsure about your item falling under these new guidelines - DO NOT POST THEM, and send us a modmail instead. The Mod Team will remove any listings or comments that we feel may violate this rule.

🚨 Enforcement Policy:

Failure to follow this updated TOS policy will result in an immediate and permanent ban, and this is not an appealable offense. Being banned on our sub is the least of your worries. If you attempt to break this TOS Reddit admins will permanently suspend your account without hesitation. We do not want to ban you, so please do not break these new rules.

We ask for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate this change together. Our goal is to keep the sub active, safe, and in compliance with Reddit's evolving policies. Remember, we're here to help, so please just do us a favor and be patient and respectful.
