Do I remove the o-rings? If i'm being thorough, yes... but not always. I put the parts in a zip-lock with iso (disassembled for best results), the ultrasonic cleaner is just filled with water. I then turn the heater on to 40C or 100F (the cleaner has a heater built in), timer set to 20-30 minutes, then when finished I rinse them in some water + a little dish soap, then i leave them to dry for a day. I do not include all my Dynavap's in a cleaning so I still have something to use if I want.
I made a video of me using mine a while back, if you want to check it out, it's here - https://youtu.be/lsKDuTxwuXA
The water in the ultrasonic cleaner never comes into contact with the Dynavaps... it simply acts as a medium to transmit the sound waves. The Dynavaps themselves are sealed in a ziplock bag filled with ISO.
It works on your bangers, bowls, downstems and whatever glass fits in it. I don't use it all the time, but whenever i let things go for a bit (meaning not cleaning right away), i break it out as it makes things easier.
Try using in a small bubbler with a percolator that's seen heavy use. Then you'll see why it's not that great. Even in my glass piece that isn't particularly complicated it leaves chunks of the pink stuff or it leaves unclean bits inside. When it works, it works fairly well, but not as well as it should and 'when' being the operative word.
If you want to clean your rig or bong in it, then definitely. Just make sure to get a plug set for your rig/bong so that when you submerge it, the ISO doesn’t leak out into the water and turn cleanup into a bigger hassle. I tried cleaning the base of a large bong in this, and it’s just not big enough, but smaller rigs fit fine in large Ziploc bags with plenty of ISO.
They work for that too! You can use them to clean jewelry, dental and medical tools, glassware, coins, metal parts... and a few other items as well. Mine wasn't too expensive, think i paid around 50.
Never understood the redunancy of having so many dynavaps. I got a buddy who collects them at this point and we did a blind test between about a dozen of them. I couldn't tell the difference from one to another.
I review these (and other vapes), and my collection is actually bigger than what’s shown in the pic. That said, I do notice differences in the experience between most devices... though to be fair, four of the ones pictured are similar/same.
The experience changes based on airflow and restriction, materials (SS vs titanium), the tip and cap you’re using, and whether you run it through a water piece or use it dry. You definitely don’t need this many, but it’s nice to switch up devices and setups. For me, rotating gear seems to help keep tolerance in check... kind of like how your body adapts to the same workout over time. Changing things up keeps it from ramping up as fast (I don’t have any scientific data to back this up... just my personal opinion based on experience.).
I had a regular Hyperdyn, then found a used Northern Lights, then gave my regular Hyperdyn to a friend to get him into vaping, and now I really want a Tigerdyn to keep my Northern Lights edition company, lol. Do you have separate intercoolers, share one, don't bother with it at all?
I actually gave my regular Hyperdyn to a friend recently as well. And now it's his go-to, after non-stop bong usage his whole life. I only have the intercooler that came with the Northern Lights. Which is fine, because I actually normally use the TigerDyn tip/cap on a wooden stem from Ed's TNT.
Yup! My buddy commented how he could only afford to use those cartridges because smoking weed got too expensive. So yeah, time to learn microdosing. I gave him a B as well, but really just to use the B tip and cap on the Hyperdyn. It was a tough choice between giving him the Hyperdyn and B, or one of my Revolves, but even the thought of having to explain the features of the Revolves over Google Meet gave me headaches, lol.
Absolute best way to do it, takes pretty much no effort and super quick
What UC do you use?
Mine is from Vevor.
I use one made by Creworks (1.3L)
Can you explain the full process? Do you remove o rings? Do you put it in a bag of iso and than inside the water? I want to try it too

Do you use regular tap water? Seems like distilled water would be best (but I have no experience with ultrasonic cleaners).
The water in the ultrasonic cleaner never comes into contact with the Dynavaps... it simply acts as a medium to transmit the sound waves. The Dynavaps themselves are sealed in a ziplock bag filled with ISO.
Woah that’s cool! Makes me want to get one

I wish, I've been thinking about it more and more every cleaning
If only cleaning one or two, I still do by hand. But when it's several, you can't beat an ultrasonic cleaner.
It's the endless scrubbing with cotton tips for me, I just bought some fine steel wool to try to make it easier, so that will be interesting at least
I wonder if it will scratch the metal, please report back i'm curious.
Had that thought too, don't want to breathe in metal particulate after. But yes, I will!
Another potential concern, good point.
Worked well though, only shines and no elbow grease needed
Nice, did it scratch the metal?
I use a pink formula to soak, then just rinse w/ hot water. Never had an issue getting everything clean this way.
Understood, and if cleaning one or two I would do the same/similar. But if cleaning several at the same time... nothing beats an Ultrasonic cleaner.

🤚
Would you recommend a bigger Ultrasonic so you can fit other things in it like a glass piece?

Pmo game I thought that was for cleaning jewelry or something I need a cheap one !

How is that glass one all the way to the left? I almost got that lol
I primarily use the H2 with concentrate, inside the tip i have a dynacoil. Flavor is great and I like the dabbing experience with it.

Now I've got a dynavap collection in rotation, I have been thinking of getting an ultrasonic cleaner.
Are they any good?
Do you still use iso?
Put your devices in a plastic bag with iso in a UC waterbath. Keeps the UC clean.
I just use iso.
Is that a Tygerdyn next to the Hyperdyn northern lights?
Yep, that's a Tigerdyn.
Now that is purrrrrrrrty!

I just got the Ed’s TNT Blackwood, for the HyperDyn , and I love it!
Nice, they are beautiful.

haha, indeed. That's awesome you hooked him up tho, i'm sure he's loving it now.
I just thought, I took a pic to send to Ed last week when I was out at a chicken wing spot near me with that setup. If you want to see what it looks like, here's a the pic - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jrX9YzwwnelM_9V46KBpx80D-3FwH3dS/view?usp=drivesdk
That's gorgeous
Thanks brotha!
Nice collection bro, but isnt too much? Why so many pieces?
I review these (and other vapes), and my collection is actually bigger than what’s shown in the pic.
