Heyoo, I know you guys don’t like when someone ask “how do I get this guys locs” but I was really looking for advice. Everytime I get freeform locs they start out nice and then my hair grows into a mushroom like Afro and the locs don’t fall down properly no matter how much I sponge them. I wanted to have kinda semi Freeform’s kinda like the last 2 images I showed but I’m not sure how to achieve that. I wasn’t sure if I should to get a retwist or what to say to a loctitian to tell them the type of hair style I want. Genuinely what should I do?? Really looking off advice (pls don’t be to mean😭)
Lemme give u the method at one point my hair was just like this well not just like but once it god to a short-medium length I two stranded them, no parts left them in overnight, took em out the next day, wetted my hair played bball (no need to play bball I just added that there) then they dropped and never stood up again
I got pics but it also depends on how you let them form, I let mines form by hand twisting, you should prob hand Twist yours with no parts just to see as well but that's just advice take it or leave it

Haha....we all want something we don't have I suppose. Dude do you not understand how sick these look? I get it's not what you're going for. Honestly bro, a mild retwist a long ways into the future might get you where you want to be. But not now. Like I don't know how retwists work but if you do get one, tell the loctician you dont want it to be traditional or perfect, and that you want it to look as close to how it did before as possible. Make sure you get that in their head because after a retwist there's no going back. I've seen a handful of retwists that look fyee, but they usually all look the same which is boring and lame (the neat scalp showing look.)
Bro if you did any research you’d get the answer to this question 💀 if you’re free forming your hair is gonna do shit like this bc like the name implies, it’s free forming. If you want any specific shape or look you will need to get retwists
