Back when I was that age, I remember my teacher had a president puzzle that had a blank portrait next to George Bush. My friend and I kept arguing back and forth him saying it would be Obama and me saying John McCain. I can definitely say at that age I had no idea why other than that's who my Dad was voting for, and I am fairly certain my friend was the same . Kids have no political concept and they honestly shouldn't. Just be a kid.

“Shouldn’t care about politics” and what middle schoolers actually do at that age are two different things. Elementary school students make political presentations in school.

I don't think anyone cares about the political opinions someone had in middle school. I was pretty far right until I was out of highschool and studied both parties political platforms. As much as people complain, both parties are largely the same as they have been for my whole adult life.

For a synopsis…don’t use your own judgment, use mine. Don’t ask why because I am right. Surprisingly, there is a lot of this nonsense today.
Vote for who you believe is actually going to help you and your community. Don't vote with anger or hatred, but vote with hope and belief that things will get better. I am not allowed to vote till next year, but that is what i plan to do.

The worst thing about this is how into politics this kid was. When you're young it's supposed to be a time or freedom from the weight of adult life and thoughts. It's kind of funny how the kids are doing the same thing with a decent flavor though. In my day you had kids they would flip from punk, to goth, to prep, to gangster. In each iteration they were super passionate about their identity and make fun of you for not meeting their standards. At least it was dumb and innocent for the most part.
The most alarming part about this is the willingness to characterize people that think differently as evil and hateful along with a good dose of dehumanization. Either side doing this no matter which side should set off some red flags as soon as you hear it.
