You never see police intervening as decisively as the civilians in this video in the us. Different breed of people is required for heroism like that. And gun control laws and culture in australia makes it once in decades occurring not everyday news. Its sad this tragedy happened, but im glad people with strong moral compas intervened, potentially saving lives.

I’m reading 11 dead and 29 injured, so far, in this terrorist attack on Jews celebrating the first night of Hanukkah at Bondi beach. This hatred against Jews is beyond disgusting, and shame on everybody who facilitates it. Fuck terrorists, and fuck antisemites.
FYI the two people sprawled on the pathway/road also tried to stop him, they wrestled him down and he dropped his fire arm. He unfortunately got up, grabbed another gun and fatally shot them both.
Who's who in this situation? Is there more than one shooter?
The tackler and others at that tree after the tackle are good guy civilians. Seems there were at least 2 other attackers on the bridge.
I think the civilian shot in the arm got shot again when he walked out into the open, sadly.

From this video, that couldn't be a .22 LR... those casings are way too big, and the recoil way too much.
