A poor man Oscar Ramirez and his family make the desperate move from the countryside to the big city just hoping to find work that is good enough to not struggle so much. But the city is a harsh place. His wife finds work in a shady bar, and Oscar gets hired for a very dangerous job, transporting large amounts of cash as an armoured car driver. Turns out his partner is not so honest, and before too long Oscar is in over his head. This felt like a Scorsese type of crime movie, pretty bleak, and it was directed by an Englishman.

Really good movie.
I remember first hearing about it many years ago, but I never got around to watching it. I finally got around to it recently, and I'm glad I did; very bleak, but what a great movie.
