Feed is a deeply disturbing and uncomfortable film that explores obsession taken to its most extreme limits. It’s not shocking just for the sake of it, but because it forces you to sit with ideas of control, desire, and exploitation. The performances sell the discomfort, making the film feel cold and invasive. It’s hard to watch, unsettling in ways that linger, and definitely not for everyone.

  • Its not all that far fetched either.

There's several documentaries on feeders and feedees that are pretty gross.

Several of these "ultra bbw models" have ended up on my 600 lb life also.

it’s interesting because in one side it’s like fuck this is so so bad for them and they are killing themselves. but on the other culture is always telling them they are scum for being so fat, ignoring the traumas and humanity that got them there, and finally some people are giving them money and telling them that they love their bodies as they are and making the feel sexy somehow. it’s feel like they deserve to feel good about themselves, but at the potential cost of their life? no…but also culture in general needs to be more compassionate. you can never shame someone into getting help. anyway it’s an interesting topic. curious to watch the movie.

Ive struggled with the morality of it too.

People should have full autonomy over their body, but where does the line between that and causing harm exist?

Meiwes is in prison, and both parties consented, so how is this different? Because its slower?

    An interesting conversation indeed.

    oh what is meiwes?

    Armin Meiwes

Hes a cannibal who ate someone that volunteered to be eaten.

ah yes!!! well…actual death i could see it being more complex in this particular context. example assisted suicide is only legal in a few places, and when it is, it has to be medically documented that continuing life would mean catastrophic suffering like in the case of certain cancers and incurable illnesses. so just feeling like you want to end things and make a deal with someone to do so would not exempt that person from a murder conviction. btw i fully endorse euthanasia and find it a bit wild that it’s considered a crime even in a medical context (except in oregon and some other places)

Essentially though feederism isn't much different. The goal is complete immobility which is basically a death sentence without medical intervention.

People that are obese to that degree tend to not last longer than 5 years or so after they're immobilized.

So killing someone with consent isnt much different than feeding them to death with consent in my view, its just a slower process.

yeah pretty much. i’ve watched a lot of 600 lb life it’s very similar to intervention and hoarders. mental illness that begins with trauma :(

Also the subject of the Rammstein track MEIN TEIL.

  • I saw this movie when I was like 14 doing shrooms for the first time... what an experience...

    Not recommended.

  • From the director of “ the lawnmower man” lol

    Actually a damn good movie!

Sorry for late response but you think the lawnmower man is a damn good movie? Lol I remember being younger and liking it, mostly cuz I liked Pierce brosnan from 007. I’d categorize it in the same category as the langoliers if you remember that one. Both SK, both horrible CGI but also comfort movies lol

I love lawnmower man, as long as I don't take it as a direct translation.

I’ll have to rewatch. It’s been a min. Also rented “Feed” last night. Felt like a music video but I dug it although it was gross lol

  • Oh yeah! Now you're talk'n! Excellent movie.

  • I shared this with someone at work who said they can handle anything. The more fucked up, the better.

    I proved them wrong.

  • That tramp stamp is killing me though

  • Good Australian film

  • Hands down love this movie. I Usually try to suggest this when people ask for disturbing movies. The only draw back is the credit song does not match up to the rest of the movie. I love life you love life we all love life pick it up let’s go. You should check out stoic by Uwe boll Not the biggest fan of his but just as disturbing. Fucked me up great movie also based on a true story like this one

If you only concentrate only on his bad movies then yes, Boll isnt great.

If you look at his good films then he's actually not a terrible director.

Stoic is amazing, and he has several others i enjoy too.

    Rampage is very good

    Attack on Wall Street also

  • Great twist when you go into it with no spoilers. Solid acting, good story.

  • This is a fucked movie and I hardly ever see anyone mention it. Was just telling a friend about this the other day. Good post

  • The guy that plays Michael is genuinely such a good actor and probably the only reason I remember this movie, it used to be on Netflix waaaay back in the day when they first dropped their streaming service.. I miss old Netflix

Randomly watched this earlier this year. Campy AF at times but solid watch. Enjoyed
