The name is Paulodon galvensis, it was originally described in 2015, as a species of Iguanodon, before eventually being moved to its own genus.
Once again, it is yet another "new" species split up from a existing genera, with Gregor Paul's involvement, this time, on its name, so just like Utetitan and the two """"""new"""""" tyranosaurs from last time, take it with a grain of salt, and when I say a grain I mean, one so big it would turn a freshwater lake into the dead sea.

Credits to Caz41985 for the illustration, which represents the animal when it still was believed as a species of Iguanodon
Holy crap its aladar
Nice reference!
:( this is like the forth (likely) bs genera with this dudes involvement, even if not direct at this time, I'm so tired
Odds are it’s complete BS and it’s just a ploy for ole Pauly boy to get his name plastered onto something. Dude is relentless at trying to split genera and species for no reason when pretty much everyone else in the paleontological field thinks it’s ridiculous.
Holtz apparently thinks it could warrant a new genus. That doesn't negate the other issues with the publication.
This is just a disappointing name for such a cool and important Spanish dinosaur.
50 bucks that it’s a subspecies of iguanodon at best

Iguanodon is a genus not a species, so it would be a different species of iguanodon not a subspecies. Subspecies have both the same genera name and species name, followed by a third different subspecies name
I know. Tho I thought it would be a subspecies of Iguanodon bernissartensis or Iguanodon galvensis with another latin name thing attached. I don’t know that much about dinosaurs just the basics
I don't think we've ever named a non-avian dinosaur subspecies. I think it's be impossible to distinguish that with just fossils given how difficult it is the distinguish with living animals
I just thought it would funny for mr. Paul to try and name a new genus only for it to be a subspecies.

It literally is an species of Iguanodon, just that this paper wants to move it to its own genus
How Gregory S. Paul expects people to react after he splits yet another dinosaur into something different and gives it a shitty name:

Yeah
“Hi, I’m Paul”
i think he just wants a handshake
Paul's tooth. What a cool name for a prehistoric creature. The tooth of Paul
“New dinosaur” “Same as old dinosaur”
GREGPAUL STRIKES AGAIN......
Magnapaulia already is Paul, Paulodon doesn’t deserve the name Paul. Name it something cooler
That name feels strangely difficult to pronounce
The heck does it mean anyway? "Paul's tooth"? Did the one who discovered it want to share his dental condition or something
Once again for those who don't keep up with the DMG, here's a post going over methodological concerns in the paper and here's one about how Sancarlo et. al. are probably scooping student research.
I’ve heard a lot of speculation that Franco Sancarlo is just Paul’s sockpuppet.
Paulodon feels disrespectful af
If my bones were named after attention seeking paleontologist, by that paleontologist himself, i would be mad. He is not that guy, maybe he should prioritese science before hype.
It looks like the Hammond Collection Mussaurus 😆

Looks like an Iguanodon and Barsboldia hybrid (I feel like it’ll be dubious in sub 5 years, or a new species of Iguanodon at most)
It already is a species of iguanodon they just transferred it to a new genus which will never hold up
New is a relative term?

Paulodon
PAUL'S TOOTH 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A new one? I thought they'd been extinct for years.
Oh Paul, you is a were-Dino!
First of all, cool guy
Second of all, omg I need this in one of the dino games I play so I can say stuff like: - "look, it's a Paul!" - "The Paul's are coming." - "Paul is fist fighting a rex!"

Paulodon galvensis: https://dinoanimals.com/dinosaurdatabase/paulodon-galvensis/
Iguanodon galvensis is a synonym of Paulodon galvensis
Pretty sure this is a pretty common opinion, but I think overall naming something after a person (especially if it’s yourself) should mostly be reserved for the species name and not genus.
I actually know one of the original writers for the article, Franco sancarlo reached out to me for me to talk about the article about a month before it was published on discord

Graceful Small Tooth
I bet the animal filmed corpses in Suicide forest near Mt. Fuji during life.
