First I made the Geeker Speaker, now I present, the Geeker Reaper. Featuring a working original screen with battery percentage, plus it charges from the original port. It is push button activated! Once I got the parts, it took me around 6 hours to figure everything out and do it how I visioned. The fitment in this thing is TOUGH! As I was soldering the button I accidentally shocked the crap out of myself for a half second and half of my hand was somewhat numb🤣. Hope you guys enjoy this project as much as I do!
The forbidden rip
i've got a soldering iron and a dozen old vapes so... any insight on how you managed this?? or the speaker?
I wish you all the success in the world, I only ask that you share your creations
All you need is the soldering skills, dremel or a decent tool to cut the holes where you choose. Then parts you would want a momentary button as well as a toggle on off button (I didn't use one). Some wire same size as inside to extend the preexisting wiring. Tweezers to grab the wire as you're popping the shell together, 400kV Boost Step Up Power Module, and some creativity on how to make everything fit. There was shaving of different things inside that needed to be done to get it to barely fit. If you actually start making one and have questions, PM me and I would help. You would need a vape thick enough that you can fit that power module inside since it's very thick haha.
For the speaker, I have a few reddit posts on it as well and I know one of them I THINK I gave a build list in the comments. If you decide to do it and need help you can PM me about that as well.
Theres should be a power switch so it doesnt randomly go off in the pocket
Yeah my V2 version will be like that. I was too antsy and still have a week to wait on the toggle switch's delivering.
Make it need 5 clicks to turn on
2 clicks to preheat
This is Benders vape lmao
This doesnt belong here. Thats awsome and is a need
We call this negative reinforcement learning.
nice
Guess that's one way to quit
What is the base thingy that was modified? I didn't understand the Speaker as well.
Searching for "Geeker" brings me to tech companies.
I am confused, please elaborate.
It's a Geekbar Pulse X which is a disposable vape. People use them til they run out then throw them away. They have perfectly good lithium ion batteries in them so it creates a lot of e waste. I thought it would be a fun challenge to fit it all into the vape and I kept the original battery and charging board in it to repurpose them. I did make a variant in the same exact model of vape that has a functional bluetooth speaker setup in it.
Lemme put that in ma pants pocket real quick
This isn't one to carry in any pocket with the way I have it setup. The second one I do will have a toggle switch so it's a bit more, pocket safe.😂
Great what’s it for?
