Definitely not a smart idea, but low chance of electric shock the loop that was inserted into the hot glue was shorter than the depth the drill went. Plugging it in would likely just lead to an open circuit.

Really a missed opportunity, should have made sure that the wires either connect to the key ring and keys for added security, or that hot pin connects directly with neutral using some nice thick wire as a trap for people stupid enough to plug it in..
I mean, you can store your keys in the AC outlet now so you don't lose them!
