transported a Christmas ham in the backseat and unfortunately it spilled. I used my carpet cleaner on it twice, and tried using baking soda and cornstarch. Still can see the grease stain.
I've successfully used dawn, gojo hand cleaner, etc. Just make sure to test in an inconspicuous spot to test colorfastness. To remove the stain completely saturate in the cleaner. Completely saturate with water and scrubbing with sponge or toothbrush, then use a wet/dry vac to remove as much water as possible. If it's still damp you can use a hair dryer to dry it out without mildew worries, just make sure it gets dry.
Try rubbing baking soda into the spot and vaccuming it out.
