Alright , I dare have a question on why I am getting so many melee kills on my build. I know I’ll get the regular bull shit toxic reply’s, but I am curious to the answer.

Looked online already and am not sure what I’m

Missing.

I’m getting quite a few melee kills every activity but am not using my powered or unpowered melee. I’m on strand warlock right now, dimosuffusion build. So I use my melee charge for weavewalk, rifts that create threadlings as well, praxic blade, and shackle grenade. No strand weapon in my load out.

From what I’ve gathered online multiple people are saying weavewalk threadlings are not melee ? But I am getting melee kills when checking the app and seeing the breakdown.

What am I missing? And if that’s the case, then will increasing my melee stat increase the damage of those weavewalk threadlings? I thought this was a hard no, but now I’m wondering if anyone else has better info.

  • Sounds intriguing. To the practice range!

Good point. I’ll have to figure out how to check for melee damage. Have only used it to check dps.

  • No clue. Sometimes weird shit happens like getting kills for your teammates. Like sometimes I'll have orders that are half done for, let's say, strand kills and I'm using nothing that deals strand damage. Maybe that's not your case, but weird shit happens sometimes. I would doubt that increasing your melee stat would increase your threadlings damage, but I've definitely been proven wrong more than once.

  • The Threadlings shouldn't be counting. Weavewalk generates perched Threadlings, and perched Threadlings have no inheritance.

My best guess is that its coming from the Praxic Blade somehow? Like maybe throws or deflects or something is coded as melee on the backend? Do you still get the melee kills per activity if you don't run Praxic?

EDIT: Also if you're playing with others and not solo, others can contribute to your orders iirc
