It’s pretty deep so it makes spilling harder. The edges of the lenses are really easy to open from the inner corners of the glasses. I prefer it to the round ones I have :)
Pop cover containers are pretty common in my experience. They're usually made of pretty soft plastic so it's not hard to support the base with one hand and pry the lid off without spilling any solution.
Bunch of typical reddit party poopers in the comments. Same as last time someone posted a similar product. Boo hoo. As someone who has worn glasses for 25 years, this will always be a cool design to see.
I guess the "arms" go around and hold the lids on the backside, which, then, have the correct letters on them.
A picture from the side would have helped to clear that up.
It's shittier than standard contact lens cases in every way. Weak point right in the middle that's easy to break and takes up more room. It'll end up broken in a landfill soon.
Basic acuvue container is a lot better. It's not only has "L" and "R" symbols, but the left cap also has different color so you can actually fucking see it without the lenses
It looks like a pair of glasses which is cute because contact lens help you see. Bonus points for also showing the user which lens goes in which eye when you’re holding it.
I think this is "cute" but objectively less practical.
Every contact lens case I have ever owned or seen is either blue/white or green/white cap color-coded so I don't mix up which contact goes where. It's smaller, and it is built more sturdy unlike this one where the middle is a weak snapping point that'll easily break in your pocket, a bag, luggage, etc.
It's a cute design but to me it is just another impractical wasteful piece of gimmicky plastic that'll inevitably end up in the landfill sooner than it needs to.
Answered in another comment but the second photo on the bottom is the way you turn the case to open it. So the L and R are in the correct spots. First photo shows the front mimicking a pair of glasses.
This is an oxymoron? You’re wearing contacts in absence of glasses. So why would you want your contact case to be in the shape of what you’re avoiding? I wear contacts and prefer the smaller, more portable versions that don’t look ridiculous
That is honestly pretty brilliant.
Except for the L being the right eye of the sun glasses and vice versa.
I think the letters are on the back side of the glasses, so the letter actually does represent the correct eye.
This is correct ^ The holder opens from the inner corners on the back
Depends which side you put the glasses on
Are you stupid?
sunglasses*
how do i turn the lid open when nothing about this is round? or do i have to pop a cover open and spill the solution everywhere each time?

Except it's from the perspective of someone facing you. It's not "your" left or "your" right.
Actually the lens opens up on the back. So when you’re holding the case the L is in your left hand and the R is in your right hand.
It really looks like that is the front of the glasses due to the way the "arms" start to curve back
I guess the "arms" go around and hold the lids on the backside, which, then, have the correct letters on them.

yeah, I was gonna say! my left eye is looking through the lens marked R!

Neato!
What about this is good?

Sometimes the multicolored ones have r and l on them. And they're screw top which seems easier than a pop top.
Good design is cute

🤷♀️ to each their own. To me it strikes a nice balance between form and function, even in its simplicity. As a designer it made me smile.
Looks like you'll be wasting solution
Cool optometrist!!
That goes barnacles
I’d still be “wait, your left or my left?”
What happens if I put the left contact in my right eye??
bad vision isn't necessarily symmetrical mate
It was a joke...
Didn't pick up on it
Am I the only one noticing that the one marked "R" is actually the LEFT lens if that was a pair of glasses and vice-versa?
Edit: I was wrong, see reply by OP, below.

I understand, thank you!
