There's a lot going for the Broncos this week and matchup. What a way to kick off their playoff run than to go up against the very team that eliminated you a year ago.

Buffalo is on short rest. They'll rest today. Practice Tue/Wed/Thursday. Fly into Denver Friday and play Saturday. Meanwhile, Denver has been getting ready since January 5th.

Buffalo is banged up. Not going to mention everyone but they have significant injuries mainly, Josh Allen and his foot. He had 11 carries for 33 yards yesterday. He's still Josh Allen and probably the best QB remaining in the postseason but he's not 100%.

It's at home. The fans have been waiting 10 years for this. Payton said last year they had to find a way to get this game at home. Job done.

Broncos are fairly healthy. Dobbins and Jones are OUT but we are one of the most healthiest rosters in the playoffs.

We have Bo Nix. Watching the games yesterday, so many mistakes. Maye had 2 picks and 3 fumbles and took 5 sacks. Nix is going to keep the Broncos and the defense in it. You can count on that. I really hope he has 50+ rushing yards.

It's going to be a great game. This will be the toughest test because if Denver wins, whoever they play in the AFCCG will be a lesser appointment than Buffalo.

See y'all in Santa Clara!!!

  • If you wanna be the best you have to beat the best. We got this!

TO BE THE MAN, YOU GOTTA BEAT THE MAN!

This is the pic I had for both my fantasy football team leagues this year! Don’t think I’ll ever change it lol

I just realized how much Bo Nix looks like a young Ric Flair

Ric Flair was already roughly 40 when this promo happened lol. Bo looks like a 40 year old Ric

    It’s the crazy eyes

  • I think the play style we've taken this season with those 8+ mins drives on offense will help. Shorten the game and keeping Allen off the field is the best bet.

We match up well against their defense. Jacksonville not so much. Really glad we don’t have to face that defense. Our D is all good. This game will come down to preventing big plays, which will be frustrating to watch.

I agree. From a pure match up perspective the Jags were our worst in the entire playoff field. Everyone else still alive has flaws we can exploit. We just need to exploit them.

Yeah, say what you want about other matchups, we looked awful against the Jags D-line. You need points to win a game. We’re going to get some against the Bills

We need Harvey and McLaughlin to combine for 30 carries. Exploit the run defence, make them stack the box, then open the deep passes with Mims and Franklin

As a jags fan Imma be cheering y’all on I hope y’all win it all!!

Thanks bro! Better luck next season! All the pieces are there

    Our D is all good

    You can say that again

I actually think their O matches up great against our D, which is to say, I think they have the advantage against our D. Allen is a mobile, hard to sack QB, which it seemed to be we struggled to maintain lane control is our few games. Furthermore, we're struggled to defend TE's and RB's, and the Bills offense is built around Kincaid and Cook. If there's a game we need Barron in, this is it.

They don’t have anyone else though that’s their issue. At the end of the day Allen and Cook are the only ones to worry about. If we can contain those two, I just don’t see how they play that well throughout the game.

That's the whole problem. Allen can carry the entire team on his back and single-handedly win games when the cape goes on.

Right. Cook had trouble getting going against the Jags though. Even if we slow him down they’re going to put up yards. The question will be how many TD’s they can get. If we hold them to mostly field goals we’ll be all good. Barring any big mistakes, I believe we will keep them out of the end zone

Like the previous commenter mentioned, we've given up a lot to mobile QBs. If we can shut down those 3 aspects of their offense we should be in good shape. Allen's legs worry me more than his arm going into this one.

Josh will be 30 in a few months. He’s got a lot of years left but like with Elway entering his 30’s, Josh is showing some signs of slowing down.

mistake free football is what denver does. they've really mastered ball control. I can't wait

Mistake free when we are most heavily penalized lmao

lol yeah I meant more so picks, fumbles and sacks.

Dropped passes, missing blocks is still not mistake free football you only talking about the things that show up in box score lol we have to execute like in that dallas game or even better

that's fair but my point is, dropped passes happened and denver won 14 games including vs eagles, texans, cowboys, etc. if denver has a few drops and penalties, that's fine. they can overcome that. turnovers and sacks could e a different story. it's not like buffalo is going to come into mile high and play a perfect game. they'll be penalized, drop balls too.

And we have to lump up Josh Allen any chance we get.

  • I truly see us winning this time around.

It’s as simple it gets. If you want to win the Super Bowl , you need to get past Josh Allen. If you can’t, then you don’t deserve it yet. We are the rested team, we have home field, we have the better Defense, we have momentum and they are banged up on a short week with lots of flying. It’ll still come down to a single score , but we have everything we need to weather that storm. I think we take it and face Texans for the AFC Championship

    man I really do.

I think we have a really good chance, but the offense has to start producing in the red zone.

I’d predict that if their red zone TD pct is above 50% they’ll win

Agreed, different team, different mindset. We're looking further ahead, and when you have that mindset, you're set up for success.

  • If Bo's mom isn't worried then neither am I.

  • Every playoff game is tough, does not matter who we are playing.

Idk the chargers are terrible with all the injuries and the awful play calling...woulda loved to see them next week

Disagree. Chargers recently always seem to have our number, especially in primetime games. We always play down to them, even their back ups.

Agree to disagree that line is so bad they aren't a functional offense, it doesn't help they have one of the worst coordinators in modern NFL history

Weirdly though whenever you expect our pass rush to go crazy and get 5+ sacks they lay a dud

Sure but that’s why they’re not playing next week

Thank you for that had no idea

  • I'd rather play the Bills this game, than in the AFC championship.

I don't get fears over playing teams, if they are the best team in the playoffs, you're playing them at some point.

Aside from that, I think we actually match up pretty well against them. Time will tell.

that's exactly how I feel. taking out the Bills would give this team so much confidence. maybe I'm wrong but I don't have an ounce of fear with the patriots coming to denver. maye will see a defense like he never has in his life. he's taken over 50 sacks this year. it's a dream matchup.

I was slightly worried about the Jags. They are a bad matchup for us. Evidenced by the last game we played against them. I think we matchup with the Bills pretty well.

Allen going all world usually involves giving up big plays. The Broncos this year have given up less big plays than any other team. Their run defense is bad. Nix being ready to do some scrambling will be pretty important.

I don't even get the perception that they are the best team in the playoffs. They didn't even win their division.

Imo as far as best, they've got the best RB, but that's it.

  • As best as I can tell, for buffalo to win, Allen needs to have a GAME. If Allen doesn’t carry the team on his shoulders it should be our win. Admittedly, Allen is a beast and there aren’t a lot of QBs that are more likely to go off than Allen… but putting it all on a superstar QBs feels like less secure ground than letting our superstar defense do its thing and relying on Nix to have a B to B+ game.

I fully agree. I can't see buffalo winning without a monster effort from josh. and Bo doesn't even need to play out of his mind to win but im expecting a legacy game from the franchise

Bills fan here. This won't be an Allen game, this will be a James Cook game.

  • Not afraid of the Bills, but I AM afraid of Josh Allen. Dude is a superhero lol.

yeah that's what makes it fun. he's great to watch and compete against but afraid? no way. I'm actually afraid what hufanga, Cooper, Allen, bonito are going to do.

Fingers crossed our defense looks better than the Jags did. They shut down Cook and they still managed to lose. I hope we sack Joshie boy into the offseason, but I worry our safety and linebacker depth has me worried about him taking over the middle of the field.

I didn't watch the full game but the jags D looked pretty good. the problem was Lawrence threw 2 picks. they held josh to 10 rushes for 24 yards if you take away that weird tush push. they also limited cook to 46 yards.

if you tell me Allen and cook combine for 79 yards on the ground vs Denver, I'm betting everything that denver wins.

Their defense stepped up against a red hot Trevor Lawrence. He hasn't been throwing picks and they suddenly get two despite being a not so good defensive unit. I'm hoping we learned valuable things and can implement and shut down their offense.

for me: Bo Nix > Trevor Lawrence so im not worried at all.

also, I'll take the Broncos defense over the jags defense.

    finally, mile high > Jacksonville

if im Denver, im watching the Bills Texans game and using a few of those schemes where they hit Allen a dozen times.

  • We have no business being in the postseason if we’re not fully prepared to go in and beat the Bills this week. We have the horsepower to do this thing.

If Payton calls a good game, defense plays to its amazing potential, decent ground game opening up some pass, Lutz does his thing and sprinkle some ad hoc magic by Bo & Co. It’ll come together👊🏼

Oh and no dumb penalties, no turnovers.

  • The only easy out in the playoffs this year in paper was Carolina and they played a helluva game and still almost beat the Rams. I hope we don't get blown away like last year but last year we were a "happy to be here" team, this year we are trying to prove something. Being rested and at home should help and this year we became the win ugly team and I hope that helps this weekend.

    lol blown away... bro what?

    Yeah we lost 31-7...

You'd think someone would remember that lol. The game was over by the 2nd qtr last year.

Not really. We had a chance to tie it 10-10 before half time

Yeah I'm sorry I guess the game is over at halftime now... Must have missed that memo

It was a one score gsme at half time

    how quickly people forget lol

im talking about you saying you hope we don't get blown away. like that's your take on the game. that's a crazy way to look at this matchup but ok

Final score is all that matters. The rest is just mental gymnastics. I don't wanna get blown out again. No other words matter.

I blocked it out too. First Broncos game my girlfriend watched, didn’t see her wanting to watch this year, but now she is all about the Broncos. There is something different with this Broncos squad. They are more of a brotherhood over just a team. We only have two more wins to be in the big one.

  • Seriously. Who wants the easy route? For what? To get slammed in the SB?

Bring on the best. Bring on the greatest. May the best team win.

  • I don't fear anyone this year. I respect the Bills and I know they're fully capable of beating us. I'm also confident in the Broncos and our ability to beat them as well. It's gonna be a good game. We might lose. I expect us to win.

yeah exactly how I see it. I expect Denver to win. too much in their favor but obviously, anything can happen.

  • To be considered the best...we have to dethrone Buffalo. Plain and simple. The national media will give us no respect until we beat Buffalo and we couldn't ask for a better situation. We have to strap up and take this on like a road business trip. The only person on that team who can beat us is Josh Allen. Thats it..so let put a gameplan together and execute with the best team who hasn't been given the respect we deserve. Until Saturday.

bro, denver will beat buffalo and still get no respect. it's the narrative and I actually enjoy it. I rather be the underdog than the overwhelming favorite. I like that. I can already hear that denver won because the schedule favored them and buffalo was injured.

  • Bills are a good team. You have to beat three good teams in a row to be champ. Overdogs, LFG!

  • 1 of 3 things will happen.

    1. We beat them and prove to everyone why we deserve to be there and be the #1 seed.

    2. We lose in a close game, 1-3 points, and everyone respects the Broncos.

    3. We lose in a blow out and the narrative continues that we are frauds and are in way over our heads.

I personally think it will be option 1 and we are off to play in the AFC Championship game.

I actually think if it's 1, people won't give them their flowers. It'll be "well, they were rested home field advantage etc etc"

The only thing i think people will make them lot shut the fuck up is by winning the SB.

  • Not afraid of any team, but the only team I want the Broncos to face is the Chicago Bears. It would be the 10th anniversary of the Broncos' Super Bowl 50 team and the 40th anniversary of the Bears' Super Bowl XX team. Bo vs. Caleb. Two 4th quarter comeback wizards. Can't get better than that.

That would be awesome even better if we mess with their heads by doing the Super Bowl shuffle then completely swamping them on defense so from then on people use "the '25 Broncos' as the yardstick for great defense.

  • Im just scared of that oline..hopefully that altitude gets to them but if they're able to uphold and protect allen or open lanes for cook we in for a tough game. We see how that shit plays out when our line cant dominate how they normally should.

I think having the extra time to prepare and some hungry pass rushers, Denver will be fine in that regard. josh isn't 100%. I expect the defense to come to play.

Yea im not worried about anything else besides their oline moving our dline. If that dont happen this should be a w

for me, the extra time is huge. you give vance Joseph time to scheme, with that personnel, he's going to create an advantage.

I don't know this but I believe the broncos were doing extra prep for the bills since they already played the charges twice. shoot, it wouldn't surprise me if Payton was prepping for buffalo since January 5th.

  • LFG! I don't care who we play I trust in the team! We won 14 games this shit ain't a fluke.

  • A year later, Broncos are bigger, faster, stronger, smarter, and hungrier than they were last year. Bills spanked them last time. Let’s get after it!

yeah I don't think this version is anywhere close to last year's version. it's all in front of them for the taking. I don't think that was the case last January.

  • Who's afraid 🤔 if you 🫵🏾are scared go to church!

  • Josh Allen got banged up yesterday. Cleared concussion protocol early in the game, slammed his throwing hand on a helmet, twisted his leg pretty bad the next play. Not to mention the foot injury from week 16. Not wishing injuries for anybody on either team, but hoping this leads to some minor mistakes or turnovers.

yeah you don't want to take anything for granted and you assume he's 100% but it's clear he's going to hurting. I expect vance to dial up some exotic packages to really bring the pressure.

it really is a great matchup for the broncos.

  • I’d much rather play Buffalo than the Texans or Chargers. Steelers would be nice as well but still they have a good defense and Rodgers is still Rodgers.

  • If you truly Bolieve, then you shouldn’t fear any opponents! Just another team we gotta beat. Bears/Broncos Super Bowl could be very interesting.

  • This got me amped ngl

  • If “styles make fights”, I feel like the style fits buffalo. A lot of tight end and running back throws that our slow LBs seem to have trouble with. Mobile QBs also tend to hurt us. But all the “intangibles” seem to favor Denver. I think the game will rest on Bo Nix throwing for 75% completion, converting 3rd down, and hitting one or two deep balls

  • The Bills remind me a lot of last season's Nuggets team. An all-world player that will keep you close, but no depth behind him. Still, I do like this match up because I think it will force Sean to be a little more aggressive like the Green Bay game. I think when he knows its going to be a grind it out 16-13 kind of game, we get a little too predictable in the offense.

  • There are no easy games in the playoffs. Look at Panthers and Rams for example.

The Chargers would have been a tough matchup because of that defense and the Bills will be a tough matchup because of Allen.

But if this team plays up to their potential and limits the mistakes (penalties, etc.), I truly think they can come out on top. Buffalo is a good team but it also has some weaknesses that can be exploited. And Houston, a team with a similar pass rush to ours, gave Allen one of the most miserable days of his season.

  • we beat Buffalo in Buffalo on MNF in 2023 im confused on why we're worried loss in 2024 and have them again?

  • bring on whoever. lets just play already. go broncos

  • Every team left is good and to be the best you have to beat the best . Let’s go Broncos! I Bolieve!

  • Afraid? No. It will be a challenge, which will show if Denver deserves to be where they are or not.

  • The Bills are the ones I wanted in the divisional round. Need that revenge for last year

  • Houston dominated them, denver can certainly replicate that. It comes down to the offense getting shit done

yeah that's the game I was looking at. Allen took 7 sacks that day or close to it. I know vance is looking at that film all week.

im not worried about the offense in the slightest. This is playoff Bo Nix we're talking about and if fans don't know who that is, then they will by saturday night.

  • If the Broncos weren’t my team, it’d be Buffalo. I’m so sorry Josh Allen but you gotta wait one more year

  • I trust Sean Payton against the Bills, he probably has been working on a game plan since they lost to them last time.

  • The teams I was most scared of in the AFC were: Jaguars Chargers

  • Not sure anyone is scared of the Bills. You are a fool if you aren’t scared by Josh Allen - regardless of stat watchers and hot take artists, he’s been the best football player on the field for a couple years. He can single-handedly win games, he is literally HIM!

It’s going to be a good game as long as we stop the run and account for Cooks. It won’t be a repeat of last year and if we beat the Bills, we beat the best QB left - but the game could go either way. We have to get creative in the run game and utilize Engram and Franklin in the intermediate middle of the field routes.

Game is winnable, but it’s going to be tough 💪🏼

josh allen is a great QB and fun to watch. I would be shocked if any player on defense is scared of him. this is a competition bud. the greats love to compete against the greats. they don't sit there afraid.

im actually afraid to see what hufanga, Cooper, bonito, Allen, ps2 are going to do.

This is in reference to the fans, not the players on our team ‘bud’ - good talk 👌🏼🤙🏼

yeah what fans think is pretty irrelevant to the game. I mean stupid broncos fans boo'd the team at home in week 18 lol

They paid for their seats, if the team is performing poorly it is fully in their right to boo the team.

I just think you’re misunderstanding my entire message.

Your post title is ‘lots of fans are afraid of the bills’, so I was responding with my perspective as a fan. What I think/feel/anything is completely irrelevant to the players and the game, but I’m going to cheer my ass off anyway. That was my thoughts as a fan and how I think we should see things as fans.

I have no idea how you’re thinking any of this was saying ‘the players should’, it was ‘as fans we should and I do’.

    GOBRONCOS

yeah I guess they can be idiots If they want buy after 10 years of losing, to boo a team clinching the 1 seed is pretty stupid.  But people will always do dumb stuff

You miss the parts where the fans were going crazy and cheering?

Both things can happen. You don’t ever get upset at the play calling or 3 and outs because of poor play or calls? I do. Have I booed in person when I feel that way, yes, do I cheer, hell yes!

We are all human and we have many emotions and we show them, especially when we care. Booing isn’t common and it only happens generally when it needs too - players need to know when we see them not performing, because many of them do so need care.

lol if you think booing is making players play better or coaches coach better you look silly man.  Denver was the leagues best team and earned the 1 seed.  if you want to boo then go for it but that makes you look a fool

I’ll be the guy cheering my team on Saturday.

I will also be cheering my team on, but maybe you should find a new team since you think fans are idiots or silly.

Never said it made anyone coach or play better, it’s a fans way of expressing their emotions, a normal human reaction. Same way I can say not booing and just cheering doesn’t make them play better.

Again, I think you maybe need to take a breather from the internet or sports, or at least go be a KC fan since broncos fans are idiots and silly 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • All the pressure is on the Bills. I like Denver's chances.

  • Denver will win this. Not by much. Have Faith Bronco Fans!

  • Truthfully we lost because of those orange pants!

💯, Don’t forget the orange socks. Look good, play good. Look like ass, play like ass.

  • At this stage in the playoffs I think you have to be a bit afraid and respectful of the other teams, as fans. I mean really it doesn't matter what we do but I do think it's a healthy mentality to have towards other teams that have more than earned their place at so late a phase of the season (except you, Pittsburgh).

nah I disagree. I sure hope Denver isn't at practice today feeling afraid. I'm licking my chops over here at this matchup. people who are afraid are going into something beating themselves. I mean Denver is the 1 seed, won 14 games and earned the right to play at home. from what I see, this is one confident group of players.

the one thing everyone in the organization has been on the same page is saying how important this opportunity is and how Payton has drilled that into them.

I sure hope Denver isn't at practice today feeling afraid.

Again I'm just talking about fans.

yeah idk man. after watching this team for 18 weeks, if the fans takeaway is they are afraid then lmao idk what to tell y'all

I'm definitely afraid of Josh Allen and I think everyone with eyes should be, but I do think our roster is clearly better than theirs which should hopefully make the difference.

  • I aint scared

  • I'm still afraid 😩🫡

  • It will be a tough out, but to be the man you gotta beat the man. I love that we are underdogs. More wood for the fire.

  • Buffalo is literally one man team.

Well they do have the rushing champion. We need to worry about cook too

That James Cook guy is pretty good too.

  • It comes down to stuffing the run, which we've done better this year compared to last year. Have a spy for Allen and defend Cook coming out of the backfield. (I'm looking at you Singleton). There are no receivers that our dbs cant cover one on one. So focus on things around the line of scrimmage and make Allen hold the ball.

  • I don't know why so many people are worried, a honestly the chargers scared me more.

The Bills strength is their offense, and namely Josh Allen. Our strength is a top 3 defense.

The Broncos weakness is their inconsistent offense, and the Bills defense is likewise inconsistent and a little underpowered.

It's strength vs strength and weakness is weakness. Bo should get his opportunities, Josh will make some big plays, but I think the Broncos are the more well rounded team.

Chargers Defense meanwhile has me worried. Bo against an elite defense in the playoffs is a much harder sell for me than our defense holding Allen to 24 or so

  • They will be tough. But I do Bolieve.

  • I wanted the Bills. Revenge game at home. Let's get it

  • Also not to mention, Josh doesn't have a great playoff record with road games. I think yesterday was his first road playoff win?

The bills hadn't won a away playoff game since 1992 until yesterday. I'm not worried!

Oh wow that's quite a stat

  • If there was any team I preferred we played it was the Bills

  • I unironically wanted bills over the Jags rematch 😆

  • I'm pumped for this matchuo!

  • Bills or Chargers which are now out. We got this. Sorry Bills fans! I love Josh but being a life long Broncos fan, your ass will be handed to you this year. I’ve prayed way too much for the opposite to happen !!!

  • You beat their QB you beat the Bills. Let’s Go

  • Hell yeah brother. Scrolled the sub last night to catch the vibes and it was one post. Open it up today and this is at the top of the top. See you at Mile High

  • I want the Bills and I want the Patriots and… the not Seahawks, tbh.

  • Yo! This got me pumped. Thanks dude!

    Gotta stop the run!

  • If you want to be the best you have to beat the best

  • What's so scary about a team that lost to the Falcons and Dolphins.

  • Poyer has been ruled out so that's another plus to all of this

  • I think we're alright for next game, their offense didn't look too promising and that's all they have rn

  • I’m afraid of Josh Allen but not the bills as a whole. As ,long as our offense isn’t flat we’ll win.

  • Every game is the Superbowl now.

  • I almost think all of the bills hype has to be to create an achievement for these broncos after we win. The same pundits that had written off Josh Allen and the bills since halfway through the season. They were saying that they didn’t have a chance at anything….now after one game, because last week no one was glazing Allen the way they are now, he is “the best qb ever” and “definitely going to the superbowl” just anointing him like this….is the weirdest shit. Maybe it’s because it’s his first road win in the playoffs. He did do some stuff.

    …so does Bo

I’m not as worried as I thought I would be. We are a good team. I do not think that the bye will have any kind of negative effect on getting started early. I hope we start strong and never let up on any side of the ballgame and I hope we destroy them. I am so tired of hearing about Josh Allen being fucking Superman and how in the fuck is the number one seed underdogs at home against the 6….oh I forgot …Jesus Allen

I'll tell ya what and I could be wrong, Sean Payton has some special plays he's been saving. the first 15 scripted are going to be a thing of beauty. I think it was the eagles game where he told Sutton he had a play he's been saving for him and it worked beautifully.

he has a handful more of those. no time to save them now. they are going to wear out that defense, in altitude, with 8 minute drives and then, do it again.

You fuckin know he’s got some shit worked up.

I can’t wait for this game!!!

I know lol I need to stop talking about it because it's only Monday and we have all freaking week

  • There's been some whining all year about it but I'd kill for an ugly ass 17-13 right now

lol when it comes to the playoffs, I don't think anyone sane cares if we win 3-0, 13-10 or 34-31.

  • Not afraid of anyone. I'm afraid of being totally out coached by running the same moronic offensive plays

lol yeah I'll trust the man who took Denver to the 1 seed after 10 years of garbage. broncos fans are a very weird group man

  • Let’s hope if it does come down to the end, McDermott pulls another genius move like leaving a minute on the clock for his opponent when he could have easily drained 40 seconds and made it next to impossible to come back

  • Bills were the second best matchup for us. Obviously Steelers would have been the best matchup but oh well.

Jags were the most dangerous team for us. They had momentum and knew they could win here. Plus that D line was evil good. Chargers next worse team, to much history which leads to closer games. Herbert feels comfortable playing Denver. Bills to me are a great matchup. Josh is beat up, our D line will have a day. His WR core is bad. His top weapon is Cooks who is over the hill. I expect him to have to rely on his TEs all day. Stop the run and contain Allen. Will he score, yup he is going to get them 17-21 points. Here is the thing, the Bills D is bad. Not average not below average, nope they as straight up bad. Denver will need to score 20-28 but this should be something we can do against them. I honestly would not be suprised if Denver does not drop a 30 spot on them.

  • Idk why. We match up very well against the Bills. Shouldn’t be afraid of any team if you want to win a Super Bowl. This team has been great all year and a welcome surprise.

  • One worry - this ref LOVES to call Defensive Pass Interference. This has been a problem as we know. That said we will win.

Great!  Then court and Franklin are going to get some good calls.  Sounds good to me

  • I believe in the guys, I’m just scared of Josh Allen, he’s so good…😫

I’m actually excited for the challenge.  gonna be must see TV

True! I really hope the team shows why they got the 1st seed

  • Lack of running game, Bills 21-20

  • Im not we have the perfect defense to stop there offense

  • I’m afraid of them all. Maybe Pittsburgh the least. They’re all good teams and the Broncos aren’t a dominant team. But I guarantee other fans are afraid of the Broncos too. They keep winning.

not sure what you've been watching. I think the other teams are afraid of mile high and denver. I hope they are like you and take the Broncos lightly.

Broncos have absolutely dominated. they are the 1 seed bud

Josh Allen's only previous game at Mile High he won by 29 points. He played college football just 2 hours away and 2,000 feet higher. He won't be afraid of Mile High/Denver like others might and I imagine is excited to return

lmao you think the denver team Allen beat that day is the same team today? wow, that's one of the more insane things I've heard but ok

Obviously neither roster is is remotely comparable but talking about Josh, it's a place he's historically had comfort and success playing

idk about that angle. pretty much every college QB has played around the country. the fact josh played in the MWC doesn't mean much to me.

I think it means a lot to him. Only 2 hours from Laramie, passed on by the Broncos, familiarity playing at altitude, lot of fans/support in the region. We would be getting Josh's best regardless but at a minimum it's noteworthy

josh has has made a 1/4 billion dollars so far. he's been to 2 AFCCG games and made 7 consecutive trips to the playoffs.

if he needs to have a chip on his shoulder because denver and other teams passed on him 8 years ago, then go for it lol

not really sure that's his focus but hey, whatever it takes to motivate ya.

Side note, what are Broncos fans thoughts on Elway overtly saying his biggest regret is not drafting Josh Allen? While pretty obvious of a statement, I think he might have gotten caught up in the conversation of the interview and said something in hindsight he probably shouldn't have. Maybe I don't know Elway and Bo's relationship well enough. If he intended to light a fire under Bo that's a harsh and public way of doing it

I'm much higher on Elway than most. people say he was a bad GM but the dude is the only person in history to win a bowl as a player and GM. he made all the right moves for that 2015 team and Payton only comes to denver because of Elway. sure, he missed on Lynch but show me a GM that's perfect. he also drafted Sutton, cushenberry, strnd, bollles, Simmons and he was also the man who interviewed and hired George Paton. he did way more good than bad.

if you followed Elway, he has said that Chubb over Allen was his biggest regret. it's nothing new and definitely not a shot at Bo. Chubb wasn't a huge bust but clearly isn't an elite pass rusher. im glad the way everything worked out.

Not sure if you've noticed, but Denver is a home underdog for this game. Buffalo is favored -1.5. Now if you think people in the business of making money off of gambling are stupid and don't know as much as you do about football, guess again. This is the same Buffalo team that went into KC, a place that's notoriously hard to win for anyone, and had KC on the ropes until late in the AFC Championship game. The same Buffalo team that just went into Jacksonville and did what we couldn't do at home, beat them. I don't think Buffalo or anyone else is dumb enough to take the Broncos lightly, but this isn't going to be an easy win. Of course you think differently, but you have your fan glasses on.

yeah, that's not how it works bro. sports books don't set the betting number and they don't know who will win. they set the opener. if you go on twitter, you will see "people in the business of making money off of gambling" opened the line Broncos -1.5. it's the sharp bettors who move lines and set the market. as money rolled in, the line went to PICK and then to -1.5 buffalo. It's since fell to -1 buffalo.

if youre afraid of this bills team because you seen them play the chiefs in the afccg last year lmao I'm not sure what to tell ya bud. I know one thing, the team isn't afraid of them but go ahead and do what you gotta do.

  • If you're afraid of the Bills, imagine playing the potential AFC Champions the following week. Or the potential SB Champions a couples weeks after!

    Can't be afraid of anyone.

  • There’s a lot of positives to fixate on for this week but highlighting Bo as one is a choice. Bo may very well be the worst QB left in the AFC (tight race between him and Stroud assuming Houston handles Pittsburgh. Would definitely take Bo over the corpse of Rodgers right now). We’re certainly at a massive disadvantage in QB play this week against Allen, probably the best QB left in the playoffs even with the injuries. Even with Buffalo’s defense being meh it’s likely going to take more than just keeping us in it to get a win. He’s going to need a Green Bay caliber performance, not Jacksonville or Christmas Day level.

Bo can show flashes of greatness, but it would behoove Payton to not force Bo into obvious passing situations. The play calling down by the goal line against the Chargers was atrocious. RJ running up the middle and getting stuffed killed several drives, and at least two of them were near the goal line. That's a recipe for falling behind and letting the game get away like it did last season against the Bills.

This is the important thing. McDermott is so good at disgusting coverages and throwing off quarterback progressions. He's cooked far better QBs than Bo in the past and I don't doubt he'll have some kind of game plan tailored to exploiting his flaws.

Anyone acting like the Bills are a favorable or easy matchup is naive. Of course the Broncos can win this game. But this Broncos team turns every game they play into the Saving Private Ryan knife fight. And I'd take Josh Allen with the ball and a few minutes left in the fourth quarter over any defense. It will not be easy.

Thank you for saying the quiet part out loud. I understand that this is a fan sub, but there is absolutely zero objectivity when discussing Bo.

He has big problems with accuracy (especially on longer throws), he gets more balls batted down at the line than anyone else in recent memory (other than Russell Wilson), and he is woefully inconsistent.

Those things are problematic during the regular season, but could prove catastrophic against a QB like Josh Allen. If the Broncos find themselves upside down early, I am not sure it is a hole they can easily climb out of.

  • Huge Broncos fan here... I like your perspective and I agree mostly. However, I think New England just distanced themselves from any play-off team I watched this weekend. Just my .02

Did we watch the same game??

exactly what I was thinking. I am low on the pats and after watching them vs the injury riddled and player choker Herbert, I am even lower on them. I would love to face them in denver.

NE is the only team that brought their defense to the playoffs. All those errors and LA had just over 200 total yds? I don't know, did we?
