How was your weekend?

Feel free to discuss whatever you'd like in this thread, even if it's not related to football! Just remember to abide by the community rules.

  • The Bills mods asked us for a joint free talk thread this week, and we agreed. Let's represent Broncos Country well and not get into embarrassing fights in their subreddit.

Remember, our subreddit (as almost every other NFL team's sub) has rules prohibiting trolling in other subs.

  • Romo commentating a game where we play Josh Allen is gonna be miserable

  • The most overrated QB in history can’t even finish his last game.

  • Damn this is a blowout not after being a 10-6 game in the 3rd qtr

  • Rodgers really needs to stay retired

  • Yep. Tomlin and Rodgers are done in Pitt

  • I know the Texans O is putrid, but that defense can pretty much win games on their own. That Texans DL will feast on the Pats garbage OL. Maye is also terrible at avoiding sacks.

I see some people in the r/nfl thread acting like NE is going to have a cakewalk next week and I don't get it. Texans D has destroyed better offenses than the Pats.

There fans are overconfident time for a reality check

It is not just NE fans that is the crazy part. Though some of them are like Jags fans so hating on division rival.

  • Stroud has low key been quite accurate. When he actually throws it instead of holding on like a deer in the headlights, and decides not to throw it to the other team.

Before the first fumble he was dealing. If he was capable of not eating crayons for 4 quarters they’d be the easiest SB favorite with that defense.

  • So NE is going to the AFCCG. Steelers and Texans look horrible.

Fair points from all you guys. I was going off pure boredom on that take, lol.

Texans can make Maye’s life a nightmare

Houston can still cause New England Fits Their Defense is actually there Offense at times. Maye will throw a few picks.

Yup and if Houston is without Nico… the schedule merchants continue

  • Is Pitt’s D that good or is HOU’s O line that bad?

Serious question as I haven’t watched much Texans football.

PFF(not a huge fan, but who else really grades olines) had them at #27

  • Riley Moss just got called for a DPI there

  • I’m actually curious how people can watch Stroud and Caleb Williams play like ass but the narrative is they have “raw talent” and their potential is just on the other side of good coaching. But when Nix does the same thing as a young QB he’s “ass” or “mid” and there’s no hope for him.

I genuinely feel like I’m being gaslit.

Because of narratives. Nix was supposed to be garbage coming out of college and people dont want to admit they were even slightly wrong.

I don’t watch college football, was he really bad coming out of the draft or something?

I think it was just the narrative that he is a system QB that just throws screens and check down passes. Turns out Bo actually has a lot of talent and is pretty good at throwing screens and check downs passes in Paytons system lol. Dillion Gabriel is what people think Bo is.

Gotcha, so they’re just not gonna revise that narrative? Didn’t he have the most 20+ yard TDs next to Stafford and Williams?

I actually enjoy football less when I interact with other football fans on Reddit lol and that’s all I use this account for 😅

  • Houston lucky they have that Defense

  • Pats going to have the easiest playoff schedule of all time after having the easiest regular season. The afc sb representative is determined saturday

  • Holy shit cj stroud.

  • Stroud 4 fumbles an a pic

  • My god Stroud what are you doing?! Did you come to play or what

  • CJ Stroud is buns tonight

  • I was told that the Broncos only won earlier this year because Stroud was knocked out

Thats what Houston fans kept Spewing.

Yup. I think most of us were convinced Mills coming in is the only thing that kept them in it lol

  • Tomlin and Rodgers will both be out after this game

  • Both of these famously inept offenses already have more points than the chargers entire game

  • watching these games this weekend makes me so glad we have bo genuinely the qb performances this weekend have been ass

  • Stroud us BEYOND awful in this game holy cow

  • The fact that Houston is only up 1 is just sad They have a good Defense but the fact that Houston fans say the reason we beat them is because CJ slid late and got knocked out is just a bad take.

  • Patriots get to face one of these garbage ass team (after beating the most garbage team in the playoffs) while we have to face Josh Allen 😭

Atleast if we can go and win a SB nobody will say we are frauds.

100%. Though I’m sure they’ll still try to lol

That Houston Defense is no easy task no matter what anybody says. Their Offense though isn't going to win any shootouts.

No doubt. That defense is legit but good god their offense is putrid haha

  • Rodgers is so laughably toast. I think this is his last game of his career.

  • man I have seen so many qb's just be so lackadaisical with the ball in the pocket the past two games. after the dropped snap he has to just fall down and eat the sack.

  • These teams fucking suck. Kinda jealous of the Pats having such an easy path despite an extra game.

  • And everyone said it was cope that we thought Mills didnt make the game easier. Stroud is not good

  • We have to play the Bills and the Pats get to play one of these dingus teams.

Stroud can’t hold a football but Texans are still tough

  • Texans are about to put it on the Steelers

Heres the thing the Texans Defense is scary but there offense is shit they get a lead and then don't do anything except sit on that lead due to their Defense.

  • wish we could run like this lmao

  • Where’s the MNF thread?

  • Texans' defense didn't show up vs this crap Steelers offense i guess

  • We're rooting for the Texans in this one, right? Even though they'd be the harder conference finals matchup, they're more relevant as the harder Pats matchup for next week.

I am. I hate Rodgers so much. Plus Patriots need to get some ferocity next week.

Yeah didn't want to mention that as a reason, but FAR.

Texans should be like 9.5 point favorites too right? Lol. This game is more uneven than Panthers-Rams.

  • Getting caught up on my Monday NFL YouTube videos and it seems like the media has decided that we have already lost.

  • Who do we root for in Steelers vs Texans? Ideally Texans so they can give the pats a hard time?

  • the amount of posts begging for tickets is too damn high

Who's in favor of a tickets megathread?

  • The weekend was good.

I heard that Gave Davis has indeed torn his ACL.

Looks like the Bills may be short handed by a little bit, or by a lot

  • Got to play the best to be the best, let's go!!!

You have to beat the best to be the best. Bills probably won't pull out off and will have to wait another year.

  • If you look at how many injuries the Bills are dealing with, this game should be easier than playing the Chargers

Gabe Davis hurt, Josh Palmer hurt, Poyer hurt, Shavers hurt

If we can't beat a depleted Bills team we have no business going further

    That’s how it works :-)

Those guys are not even comparable to Herbert/Mack/Derwin James man, like not even close

Gonna be really interesting to see if Palmer and Shavers can play, 99% sure Davis is done

Yup torn ACL for Davis, bummer for the dude

  • Can we ban AI “art” from the sub yet? I feel like it should count as being low-effort content.

always has been, my guy. The rules specifically state "no AI content"

Where is this AI art posted on the sub? I dont see any

  • Where is everyone getting jerseys ? 290 for 2 jerseys is kinda iffy for me.

    dhgate

Preferred seller ? Also true to size ?

I just went to check and the one I bought from last December isn't there anymore. I got a Nuggets and an Arsenal jersey last month by just searching and picking one and they both came out great. I would say maybe the jerseys run a tad smaller but overall pretty comparable to the real ones

  • This was a tough weekend. My daughter tried to hurt herself after some cyber bullying from her classmates. Thank god for the Sheriff who saved her. I can't wait to bring her home from the hospital.

Football wise, I was a little shocked to see the Chargers play so poorly. That defense just wasnt enough to overcome their offensive injuries. I'm not looking forward to facing Josh Allen, but their defensive line can be pushed around, and we usually do well against those teams this season. What do you guys think of Vegas placing us as underdogs? Are they just trying to lure bettors?

Hope all is well with your daughter. 🙏

That's really awful about your daughter. I hope everything ends up okay for her and your family.

  • They put this game on Saturday evening when I have to work rather than on the NFL's one true day, Sunday, which I have free. Thanks Roger.

This has made me extra grouchy on a Monday

  • Jauan Jennings having the same amount of TD passes in the playoffs as Herbert will never not be funny to me.

  • Bills fan here. Looking forward to seeing the best unis in the NFL this Saturday.

    Question for you guys.

Take the actual Super Bowl games out of the equation. Which playoff runs (so all playoff games before the actual SB game) were more entertaining from a fan perspective, 2013 or 2015?

2013 Manning is probably the best single QB season of all time. But that 2015 team was nasty and I remember all those close wins were so cool to watch.

    1. Never thought a single team could escape for so many one score wins (2025 really feeling that way too…)

2015 AFCCG against the Patriots is probably my favorite of those years. That game was incredible.

2015 hands down. It was memorable in so many ways. It’s my pick because of the defense. And I love a good defense!

Von Miller demolishing Tom Brady will always be a highlight for me. He finished that game with 4 QB hits, 2.5 Sacks and 1 INT.

2015 was more entertaining. In 2013 it felt like every game was inevitable, Peyton was unbeatable... until he wasn't. 2015 had just a ridiculous narrative of Peyton dying and returning from the dead, and the AFC Championship might still be the best game I've ever watched as a fan.

I don't remember playoff games from 2013 offhand, but I'll never forget that 2015 AFCCG

  • Feels like we can do this thing!!! No shooting our selves in the foot

  • we've got to concentrate on defense defending the underneath stuff + wheel routes to Cook and Kincaid in the middle of the field

  • Justin Herbert disasterclass covering for a certified Drake Maye stinker

  • GAME WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE BOYS ARE RESTED AND HUNGRY. LET THE DAWGS EAT

    LET THE DAWGS EAT

    watch out you'll scare Bo

  • Bills are favored in Denver? Huh.. thanks Vegas!

Bo's mom thinks we can win! That's all that matters.

I’m thrilled that they are. We always play better when we are underdogs!

    Overdoooogs!!!!

    Only motivates them more

  • Unbelievably good weekend of football then the Chargers come on stage and it’s ZZZ time. Even with their starters in it made 3 points of difference.

Jags and Chargers scared me the most in this field, all that’s left are exciting games to prove our Super Bowl ticket.

  • The thing that killed us against the Bills last year was drops. We had so many drives end early because the WRs couldn't hang onto the ball, so the defense was on the field all game. The D still held during the first half but fell apart during the 2nd because they couldn't get any damn rest

Their offensive line pushed our defense around too. Having Hufanga and Greenlaw should help out. Our rush defense is much better this year than last year.

The last few games Payton hasn’t emphasized ball control over stats, which could definitely come into play in this game.

That and our commitment to running the ball while down 20

  • Gabe Davis a good WR for the Bills hurt his knee yesterday and he wont be playing on Saturday, so that leaves Coleman, Cooks, Shakir, Shavers and the two TE's.

Pretty sure Shavers got hurt against the Jags so he's not 100% if he plays

Other than Shakir who is a really good slot man, the other WRs are simply a turnstile of mediocre. Even if they all got hurt and we had to take 5 off the street, the results from that group will probably be the same. Our passing attack is through the Slot, TE, and Backs, the other WRs will combine for like 5 targets if the game goes according to script.

  • Our secondary is much better than Bills receivers

Our DLine can contain Josh and Cook no problem

Bo can score on the Bills D for sure

I like this matchup, glad Jax is out

Bonito and Cooper keeping proper containment/ gap integrity is going to be very important. Then Denver has to cover the Bills TEs. Two biggest factors in the game IMO.

this. we have to pressure allen but maintain containment on the edges and not overshoot him (Cooper has been particularly bad about this throughout the season especially during Jags game) as the pocket collapses.

Allen took a beating yesterday. He’s wasn’t even a 100% at start of yesterday’s game then suffered an ankle/knee injury on a tackle that had him a bit gimpy later in the game.

It won’t be easy and we will have to play complimentary ball for four quarters because Allen at 80% is still better than most QBs at 100% so his talent needs to be respected.

However, considering this is a home game for us with Broncos having a full week of rest, this being the bills second road game of the post season and the talent of our team this year compared to last, we should win.

Of course, in the end it will come down to the game plan and execution. Bo and the offense have to score 7s in this one. We cannot just settle for 3s or 3 and outs.

I like going agaisnt the Bill D way more than the Chargers D. I'm only really worried about Josh running.

Normally I would be too but he’s banged up. His right foot is injured, game yesterday he got his left leg bent awkwardly……I haven’t seen him rip off any big gains running but the tush push they’ve definitely got down

Looked like he hyper extended his leg

right foot, left knee, throwing finger, consussion eval.

that being said, he still played damn good, and will be ready to go on saturday.

    Thats true good point.

Just saw this too, he was in the medical tent 3 times yesterday. So happy we got the 1 seed

Dang, I only remeber once. Now he gets to go agaisnt the best pass rush in the league lol

Really feel like this game is going to come down to who rushes effectively. Stop the run, win this game.

  • Curious to see if Poyer plays for the Bills on Saturday and how Davis likely being out for them influences our gameplan.

That Poyer loss could loom large given that their defensive strength is their pass defense.

that was a reaggravation for poyer. so forsure looks unlikely.

i think they activate damar hamlin from IR.
