I received a recommendation last year for a facility in Denver that treats both mental health issues and substance abuse. It was in a motel with access to the pool. They have an extended stay option. I searched Google and it was a cacophony of ads. Any help is appreciated.

  • I graduated Denver Springs IOP in November. They helped me get my life back on track. I would schedule a phone intake with them and see if that’s a good fit.

  • It sounds like a specific place you’re looking for. Can you give any more information? Was it affiliated with a hospital system? What area of Denver? Was the motel the actual facility, or was the motel boarding with the facility elsewhere?

  • I'd ask for a recommendation from your primary care physician.  Good place to start.  The place you Googled sounds scammy.  Good luck!

  • Many years ago, but West Pines was good to me

  • Please look at Sandstone care. They specialize in teens and young adults. My youngest is just about to leave the program and is thriving!

  • Raleigh House is ok. 3.7/5 stars.

  • Denver Springs

  • Thank you for your suggestions. This place that’s a motel with a pool has an extended care option. Just looking for this particular place. Or another extended care facility.

    Renewal Village?

  • Guidelight health if you are using Medicaid. Sandstone if not. These are day centers only. Avenues was a great rehab two years ago where they stay for about 45 days or more depending on their recovery plan, but the latest reviews are pretty negative. I would still recommend them. Highlands behavior health is also very good. I've been through this. Reach out if you need..

  • Try these folks out https://www.stoutstreet.org

The problem is a lot of these programs and centers have been destroyed by recent budget cuts.

  • Can you send her out of state? Pathlight Mood and Anxiety residential treatment in Chicago was helpful for me.

  • We’ve been through this before. We need an extended care facility. 6-12 months.

  • Denver Health

  • Sounds weird, but use ChatGPT. You can get pretty specific with what you are looking for and something may come up. Have not heard of any facilities with a pool. That would be a challenge to safety proof.

Edit: was a mental health case manager for in the Denver area, ChatGPT can be really helpful for locating specific kinds of services. Try it yourself, you can get a list of various programs with links to their websites.

People really just saw chatGPT and had a small fit apparently

I did and it wasn’t helpful

Was it because you’re looking for this one elusive facility? I imagine it wouldn’t be if nobody has heard of it. What I mean is look for a program that suits your needs (length of stay, area, type of care, insurance).

ChatGPT is a dangerous tool which frequently makes things up and combines pieces of unrelated information into new "facts." It's no wonder that people downvoted you for suggesting an unethically created piece of dangerous garbage.

Is it going to make up a website for a facility? No.

As I said, take a second and type a prompt like: find me a 60 day addiction and mental health program in northern Denver. It will give you a list of links to various programs matching the criteria.

Then you do what most intelligent humans would reasonably do, and look at those programs before reaching out.

You really just saw ChatGPT and completely shut down critical thought.

Edit: literally just a few posts ago in your history you are complaining about AI. You’re not considering anything else here other than hating the program.

    Correct.

I couldn’t imagine admitting that. Wild.
