I posted one of my ai generated art on a sub Reddit called art is for everyone and I got good comments but then this asshole just attacks me saying it’s not art. I tried to reason with who ever this is saying it’s ai art generated. Why can they accept people’s opinions 😡 so I just blocked this piece of shit. Just wanted to share
"art requires feeling to be art"
Well I FEEL that ai art is art.
Thank you I think that too
Just so you know, if you acknowledge that AI "art" isn't art, then I'm all cool. I use AI to generate images for fun (SDXL), but even I know that it really isn't art.
But I will say this: when I program, an LLM can really speed up my workflow if I know what I'm doing, and don't over-rely on it.
Even a cybersecurty class of mine gives us a free GPT-5 to use to help us solve different problems, granted that we don't get "LLM brain."
Edit: I'm not an anti. Just saying that calling AI images art is kinda incorrect. Make AI images all you want but don't call it art. I think OP already said that they have never felt it was art.
Edit 2: maybe op didn't say that idk.
Thank you for your comment
Np. I genuinely don't want to be mean or anything so I am sorry if I came out as disrespectful in any way.
That’s ok 👍
I will say this. You should definitely learn how AIs generate images. Specifically what the diffusion algorithm is.
It's actually pretty interesting if you like learning math.
Thank you
Well, according to Google and oxford:
Dictionary
Definitions from Oxford Languages · Learn more
art1
/ärt/
noun
noun: art; plural noun: arts; plural noun: the arts
So if you can proove that writing prompts shows "the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination," then it will quite literally shut the antis up.
I mean...who wrote the prompt? Me
Who fixed it time and time again until it gives me what I want? Me
Who imagines what the image should look like? Me, always me.

I stopped at 'does it need to be creative'
No, no it doesn't. But it can be. Same as doing pour art abstracts.
That doesn't float my artistic boat at all in the slightest, but other people like it.
Oh so you read the whole the whole thing, cuz 'does it need to be creative' is not found anywhere in my comment?

You could argue trained artists are conditioned in the same way. Artists used to study dead horses hoisted to the cielings, observing every detail as the body decays. I think I like Ai's method, its more ethical.
Just curious as to how so? From what I see on the media, all the big AI companies are being sued for training LLMs on copyrighted data.
Haha no, sorry!
I'm using AI and it's arty as ****. That's a you skill issue.

Yet if I scribble it's apparently better than anything AI can make
It's very liberating to not tie yourself to what others think. I don't need the world to agree with me.
Same here
Just block people like this honestly, I've been blocking more people lately because at a bare minimum, a slight majority of the users are bots, trolls, or both.
Yes I know I blocked that person just being a sore loser
The literal definition of art is to invoke emotion. If AI art achieves that, then by definition that is art.
So yes, if a piece of banana taped on the wall is considered art, then who’s to say AI art is not art?
Why is that so hard to understand?
Btw I think the poster you made is adorable. I hope you continue your journey!
Thank you I appreciate that
I also love AI art, because it's freaking awesome.
Thank you I love ai art too
I like it for two main reasons.
Yes
All they say is slop. That’s always a flop to me.
Yes
As someone who dislike AI but like REALLY, this person is an asshole
I know and I’m not against anyone who dislikes ai art just the rude one that attacked other people that like it
I understand that posting AI on a subreddit that's banned it is bad, but it is clearly allowed on that one. They aren't being a noble crusader of good values like they like to think, they're just being a jerk.
You are right about that
Hey at least you beat John Dickhead in upvotes
Thanks
People: "Art requires effort and emotion"
Also people: "Coding requires no effort or logic... AI doesn't do it for me, it's trash!"
You can't reason with people who refuse to reason.
I know they are stubborn
Really, your best option is to just block these guys.
Retorts tend to just encourage them, and can never be effective enough to get them to stop. The only exception might be if you're genuinely nice to them, but that's up to you.
Yeah I blocked them

Because you are suffering from mental illness..🤷♂️
Your actually deluded holy
I advise you to remove that yellow filter from the art
For those who are interested in this, make sure to add the following to your ChatGPT prompt: "Avoid warm color cast. Set white balance to 6000k". You can also go for 7000k for a bright, sunny morning outside lightning, or 8000k for a cooler, blue lighting.
Man I got downvoted for no reason
So tired of the "no yellow allowed!" sentiment.
It's okay for pictures to have a yellow tint. There's nothing wrong with it.

I don't think you want to stop seeing this sub tbh.
