Anyone have a good source for natural redwood top rail? I’m thinking about putting in 4x4 redwood posts with black caps, attatch traditional aluminum black panels between them, with a redwood top rail.
Any thoughts
If you can FIND REDWOOD, I tore off a redwood deck 10 years ago that was rotting due to improper installation. It’s not immune to rot and needs stain like cedar does. I’ve not seen it listed at most lumber yards however. Top rails, of course. Need to be installed with the grain facing the proper direction :( frown ((( so water does not collect on it. Good luck.
