Connections:
- Both were the first/among the first genetically created clones of highly regarded, red-cladded individuals on opposing sides of the law (Spider-Man and M. Bison) as part of science projects headed by evil madmen who were hell bent on trying to achieve immortality through the use of cloning (Miles Warren and M. Bison himself).
- Although the two initially seemed to be successful subjects of cloning, some flaws during their creation would lead to them becoming physically scarred and even mentally unstable, causing their creators to label them as failures due to these imperfections.
- They'd soon afterwards be followed up on by another clone who is considered to be their younger sibling, whose creation would ultimately succeed in every regard from their own, for they possessed none of the previous flaws that their older siblings had (Ben Reilly and Cammy White). This would lead to them becoming heavily resentful towards their sibling, though while Kaine hated Ben out of anger and envy due to him being his effective replacement, Decapre's hatred of Cammy is a result of both Shadaloo's brainwashing and her own mental instablility.
- Both while dawning a new mask that covered up their scarred faces would fight against their siblings and anyone else aligned with them in order to act out their personal vengeance towards them. Despite the two seemingly taking on the roles of full-on villains, they still had signs deep down that they could be redeemed as the main driving force behind their actions all stemmed from their uncontrollable anger.
This would ultimately lead to the two finally forming a life-long alliance with their siblings after finding peace within themselves, leading to the two forging a new path and identity as people who now fought on the side of justice alongside their respective siblings (Kaine would take on the Scarlet Spider mantle as Ben's older brother, while Decapre would join Delta Red as Cammy's twin-sister).
Both of their fighting styles are more brutal in comparison to their younger siblings and as a result of their genetic flaws, they actually have a much more amplified version of the powersets possessed by their siblings (Spider abilites and Psycho Power). Notably, the two also possess special retractable arm blades which they use in combat with deadly efficiency and is another aspect of their fighting style that is distinct from their siblings (Kaine's talons and Decapre's Psycho Blades).
The two have had their creators place them into special pods at one point, although Warren put Kain into a healing pod to help him recover from his degeneration process, while Bison put Decapre into a stasis pod to use her as a bargaining chip against Cammy.
Marvel VS Capcom matchup momento, their siblings Peter and Cammy were also in some if not all of the games while they aren't in any of them lol.
