Is there a person in there somewhere? Yeah.... at some point down the chain there *has* to be a person. Someone has to write the prompts, someone has to write the code. The question is probably more how *far* down the chain the actual human is and exactly how automated it all really is. TBH though for the more horror based tiktoks (I've watched those more) I think a lot of them are more directly done by humans. They have a certain care and quality to them that seems like the end result and prompts were more carefully done. Never know though for sure I guess....

Yes I think the slop comes from people (mostly in developing countries) trying to make money engagement farming. Its low effort for each prompt or post, but high volume. It also probably does not make much money on average compared to a minimum wage job in a more developed country.
