To the right of your mirror, adhesive on the black dots. Go as high as you can; keep it out of your line of sight and keep your side of the windshield clear. Basically have the mirror hide as much of the camera as possible from the driver's seat.
That's what I did, but I notice that also puts it right where the streaky far edge of the windshield wipers run. I can't think of a better location, though.
Better to not ask in Subaru group. People telling him to put the mount on the black dotted area gave the best advice.
OP, you are lucky with such a great windshield for mounting a Viofo dashcam, just do not destroy the setup by mounting the camera like in your picture. Your picture is completely wrong.
I installed a Thinkware FW10 (same shape as Thinkware F50) in a 2022 Crosstrek in basically the same spot, between the 2 eyesight cameras and even towards one side. Has not caused any issues with eyesight
The Eyesight cameras are under those black plastic shrouds so as long as you don't get too close to those, you're probably fine. If you had the third camera it would be right where you're holding the dashcam in the photo.
If that's an auto-dimming rearview mirror, make sure not to put the dashcam in front of the little square sensor. That's how it checks the forward-facing light level, and a dashcam in the way or with status LEDs lit up right in front of it might interfere with the auto-dimming functionality.
I mounted mine higher on the right side of the mirror in my 2025 Outback Onyx XT. Can't see it from the drivers seat. I got the remote switch for taking snapshots etc and mounted that on the drivers side Eyesight enclosure.
Same camera, same (ish) location. Generally no problems whatsoever, but in snow and fog, the IR LED on the camera messes with Eyesight, and I had to turn infrared off.
I have to affix mine slightly lower because I have a cabin-facing camera that can't be blocked by the rear mirror. This is the best location and it doesn't distract me in the least when I drive...
My WRX has the similar Eyesight cameras. And that is also where I mounted my dash cam. I would've placed it higher but on the dots but the suction cup wouldn't stick onto the dotted part. I'm yet to get a tint so the adhesive pad would have to wait.

We had ours professionally installed and this is where they placed it.

That’s where I placed it in my Outback.
I’ve got one there and it works great
I have installed one right around there and used this image for reference.
You might ask in a Subaru group. This probably comes up often. They may have hints that people here won't have.

I put mine on drivers side of rear view mirror on my jeep so I can see if its recording and able to access it easier
Yes, here's mine (2025 Outback) - https://imgur.com/a/kTxBXv4
If you're not going to use parking mode, you can use this Dongar adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PCDVCS6 to tap power from the rearview mirror.
My last Subaru I installed it on the bottom of the right Eyesight camera. This Subaru I used a suction ccup mount in front of the passenger side.
What model make dashcam . Are you please with it ?
I have recommended this camera to 3 of my friends while I still have a A129 Plus still running ok. I highly recommend the A229 Pro for its clarity.
It’s a viofo 229 Pro On a 2023 Subaru Outback Onyx
Thanks , I am on the market and putting time in research and getting honest consumer feedback helps me make a decision . 🙏

That’s about where mine is located and it works great. It’s slightly lower below the fritz.

Thank you for reading my mind reddit, just got one with eyesight and was considering this.
